  1. I use the free version of Evernote on my iPad. I have four months of audio recordings stored that I now realize are not synced. I do not want to lose these recordings. I tried using email but it does not work since it also gives me a sync error. What options do I have to get the content out of Evernote?
  2. I use Evernote on three devices iPhone, iPad, and Windows PC. I modify the shortcuts every week to keep track of my schedule in Evernote. I see sometimes that the shortcuts are not synced properly. The shortcuts of the previous week override the shortcuts of the current week on my PC, after using iPad for example. One week difference on itself was not a big problem for me. However, today, I ran into a disaster, after using my iPad, Evernote decided to sync the shortcuts of six months ago and to remove the shortcuts of this week. This is a big problem for me and makes me question whether I want to keep the premium version next year. Is there a way to get the latest version of the shortcuts? Or are they lost forever and we should not expect from Evernote that the shortcuts will be synced properly across different platforms. This seems to be a problem of the latest iOS version, because I didn't have this problem with the previous versions before 8.0.
  3. Hello, Today I found out about the 250 notebook limit. I immediately thought... OK.. it's time to upgrade to premium, but come to find out this notebook limit also applies to premium accounts. That is ridiculous. So, despite this big push to use tags (which in my humble opinion is fine feature, but NOT a substitute for notebooks) I thought... the quickest 'fix' was to tidy up and delete some old notebooks. I deleted 10 notebooks. My sync icon now shows a red exclaimation error and upon clicking sync I receive a dialog box that states: "Sync failed because you have more than 250 synchronized notebooks. " " You have 240 synchronized notebooks. Please delete some of the synchronized notebooks and try again" Here is a screen shot: http://screencast.com/t/kaclu9j6i Now.. what do you recommend?   4. Hi, I installed Evernote on a new computer and I get a sync error near to the end of the synchronization. On another computer, I can see that I have 5253 notes. On the new computer, it stops at 5176, with the red exclamation mark on the sync button. It didn't sync the shortcuts, and probaly some other notes but I don't know whitch one. I tried the Ctrl-Clic trick but it doesn't show anything. I think that it is normal as the guilty note is probably on the server side.   5. The error message is: [220] * Note: "isa check for "ssl" failed: starttls ...", error: "local: missing notebook (DATA_REQUIRED)" How do I fix this?
  6. Recently I encountered SO MANY issues with Evernote, both Windows version in my Office and Mac at home. The symptom is for some reason the sync cannot completed successfully. I even completely deleted my Evernote and database, hope to solve the problem by doing a clean re-install, but the problem just got worse. I have 2900 notes in my Evernote, and the app has already synced for 3 DAYS (8 hours a day), it keep encountering sync error. But the error is not permanent, after a couple of retry the note can be synced, so far I have synced 1700 notes only. I feel a bit disappointed of the Evernote team this time, as I always believe evernote is the most (NOTone of the most, but the most) innovative and useful application I have ever met. Also I am quite unhappy that Evernote always "redesign the app completely", yes it is always good to make changes, but i think it is a little bit too frequent, especially the Mac app and iPhone app, users are familiar with the existing interface already, each time it "build completely from sketch", will introduce lot of issues.
  7. I opened evernote and it installed an update - since this i can not sync the mac ???? (evernote premium account) Evernote is unable to connect with the Evernote Service. This may be due to a network problem or service maintenance. Please try again later. If enabled, automatic synchronization will resume once the Service becomes available. Everything else is working perfectly - just not the sync functions..... help needed ! thanks
  8. Recently I've encountered several times sync error, this would occurred after I restarted the PC, install evernote update, or even waked up the system from sleep. I could get it work again only if I log out the session and log it in again. And what I found is if I logged it out, it displayed YinXiang log in panel (Yes I'm a user from CN but I don't want to create another account) but not evernote international. It seems it automatically tried to connect to YinXiang which is incorrect. Have someone met this issue also, or if the team could try to resolve the issue. Any suggestion is appreciated.
  9. Hi, Every time I use my Evernote app and every time I save a note a pop up comes up saying it cannot sync and prompts me to send a report. I have tried to send the report but every time it just sits there forever with the spinning green circle until I get fed up! I use the iPad 4 and iOS 7. How can I get this issue fixed if I can't send the error report? Help? Anyone?
  10. I'm trying to clean up my work notebook where I have a lot of separate notes for topics/clients that are now completed. I'd rather keep those notes in the same notebook, but I don't want a ton of separate notes when one big combined note will do fine. So I'll run a search or just have several notes in chronological order that I will select and merge into one note. Simple, right? Everything looks normal and combined properly. I'll move on to other notes, or other processing in Evernote. Then I'll get a sync error (I sync as frequently as possible, every 5 min) that the new note I just created cannot be synced. I find that note and it looks normal in the snippet preview, but I'll click on it and it's blank in the note content window. When I delete the note everything is ship-shape again and sync runs normally. What is up with this behavior? Is anyone else seeing it? It's not a crisis for my workflow -- I'm just trying to avoid merging important notes for now -- but it's odd and inexplicable. It's not a matter of too much data for one note -- they are mostly text-based so would not run into any size limitations. Using the latest Mac version [Version 5.2.1 (401587)] on Mountain Lion. Thanks for any insights.
