  1. As a long time Evernote Premium user and evangelist, I now have a son entering the middle school/ jr. high crossover. I want to teach him to use Evernote for organization, notes, scheduling etc. My question is would Evernote allow for Premium users to "host" accounts for children under their own premium account? Similar to the way Apple does family sharing.
  2. I'm going nuts here. Help please. I had an evernote premium account that has expired. I would like to renew this account using the same email address(a student email), however I am a student and I noticed on the retailmenot.com site Evernote premimium is free for students. I cannot find a specific link on the Evernote site (to sign up as a student). On top of this , there is no 800 number to call for customer service at Evernote. Does anyone an ideas?
  3. http://blog.evernote.com/blog/2014/03/05/handwriting-arrives-evernote-android/ (emphasis mine) Maybe I missed something but can you actually take handwritten notes while recording audio notes at the same time? How? I am able to record audio but then I have to back out of that while drawing the diagrams/charts in lecture. I am also able to type notes on my galaxy note while audio is recording, but that doesn't help with the figures. It wastes time to have to carry a separate notebook just to copy the figures down, and then later go back and scan them into the note. Handwriting would be useful if I could actually record the professor's lecture while drawing the diagrams into the note. If I have to pause/stop the audio recording while drawing - that sort of defeats the purpose. A lot of the time the diagram is being changed as he draws and having his explanation recording simultaneously with my copying the diagrams down is really important to understanding the material. If I have to pause/stop audio, in order to copy the figures, I've missed the explanations, which bring sense to the figures. And with how fast he talks + erases/redraws, there's no way to copy both the figures & the explanation so audio recording is very important.
  4. As a blogger I love love love evernote's ability to let me take notes on the spot, access my previous notes, organize and maintain consistency on all my devices. I don't know about you all but it used to drive me nuts to have to search slide, and search through my apps to open it when I had a brilliant idea, saw something go by I wanted to write down etc. I got this app for my android called 2click. Its SO GREAT. I just choose evernote as my 2click and I can grab my phone and double click whenever I get an idea, see something I want to remember, hear something I need to write down, and evernote opens instantly! Just thought I'd share. Its made my life so much easier. Check it out : http://2clickapp.com/
  5. Dear Evernote enthusiasts, I am a student in Neuroscience and Psychology and have been using Evernote since 2009. I love Evernote and its potential once you've developed a workflow and personal system. Sadly, many haven't achieved this... My New Year's Resolution (for January) is vague but exciting - write a 80 to 100 page ebook for college students on how to use Evernote for their studies and research. The final result should be available on February 1st, leaving me 27 days to write and publish it. I have figured that students are not using Evernote to its full potential and what they need is a clear and simple guide. I wish I had such a guide when I started at my University. That's why I am creating this. Helping students get more out of their tools and focus on things that matter. The ebook should consist of three parts. Part 1: short introduction and basics of Evernote Part 2: specific advice for college use Part 3: use cases/examples from the community Part 3 (and 2) is where you come into play! I'd love to hear from you how you regularly use Evernote in college. If you are a teacher/professor, tell me about the advice you give to students how to use this nifty little piece of software. Also, if you wish that I cover a specific topic (e.g. citation) I can try to implement your thoughts and ideas (don't worry, I am going to talk about citation). Problems you are facing or things you are struggling with can equally be mentioned here. From having too many notebooks and tags to not knowing how to integrate citation with Evernote properly for example. Let's open the discussion and forum brainstorming! I am very curious. And thanks for your contribution. Only with your help the ebook will be successful. Btw, you can send me a PM anytime too. Flavio
  6. This may be an obvious question but I am wondering how I would do something like this: I give a quiz - I grade/correct the quiz - I scan them as a class. But then I would like to call up all the graded papers for John Doe. How can I have the students identify themselves to make this happen? I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the help.
  7. hey, ive been using evernote to take class notes and summarize texts ive been reading, and have run into one specific problem repeatedly. i often work need to insert images from other documents (NOT image files) into the notes im writing, however, neither evernote nor skitch on android offer any simple way to paste an image that has been cut from another document into them, this is a series setback for me. on a side note, having RTL writing support on one of the upcoming versions would also be a big plus as it would allow me to create hiererchies within the text using bullets that are properly alligned....
  8. Hey guys! I'm just a newbie into the Evernote world, but I'm drinking in videos and ebooks like there's no tomorrow. My girlfriend and I working with a research project here at the University here in New England (as students/researchers) with the aim to use Evernote (and a few other tools) as a "2nd Brain" for incoming freshman. It involves integrating an Evernote system of "Best Practices" so that the technology tools help us reach our goal. The goal? Better grades, better productivity, and a better way to learn / work with data. In other words - what many of you guys are GREAT at If you're experienced on Evernote and understand "best practices" that might be functional, I'd love to let you be a part of this project! Please email my girlfriend here: laurendambra@my.uri.edu Developing a functional, efficient, flexible "framework" for Academics is an ART, and I know many of you ar much better artists than the random few Grad Students we have were working on this project! Thanks so much I look forward to learning with you! Best, -Daniel
