  1. I don't know where to put suggestions. I can't find any contact info, so if someone can help direct me, let me know. First I wanted to say, I absolutely love the clean look for the new beta version of Evernote. I stopped using this service years ago because the "clutter" was just driving me insane. Everytime I logged in I had a distracting mess of notes and pictures. And whenever I put some "NSFW" images on here and whenever I would log in, it was the first thing that I saw. With the streamlined beta version that doesn't happen anymore. I really want to jump on board and get the monthly subscription and everything. I want Evernote to be pretty much like my backup brain and just put everything in here. I am a more visual person, and I would love it if we could have more options to "view" our notes in particular notebooks. Different views for different types of notes, just like in any operating system. You can have a list view for documents or an icon view for pictures. I am a much more visual person and I like to include images in my notes, especially for ideas I get. The now defunct Springpad did this perfectly. I was considering migrating to them, but honestly they can't compare to Evernote. This type of style is becoming popular, and can be seen in sites like Pinterest or Tumblr. Although, I like to keep most of my ideas private and sites like Pinterest have more of a social media focus to it. I would love if we can have an "icon view" option like in Springpad. It can have a square with a summary of the note. If the note has an image, it can include and image with a shorter summary. Or it can include the image, with the text overlayed in white on top of it [like FB does]. Here is an example of Springpad
  2. Hi there, Does anyone know how to import a springpad .zip file to evernote? I was seeking for a proper home for my springpad files and tried almost every new betas out there plus OneNote...but completely forgot about Evernote. Please don't ask why...I'm already kicking myself for this sheer stupidity. I only have the zipped file, no .enex. Files inside contain the html file and a .json. Can't seem to ask support as I'm not a premium user, so I was wondering if anyone here can help? Thanks, folks.
  3. I've been using evernote and springpad both for over a few months now and have made my choice, evernote it is. But not i'm confronted with a rather large amount of data in springpad that i'd like to migrate to Evernote. Anyone has an idea how to do this? I'm able to export a backup of my whole springpad account but as far as i can tell there is only an option to import from Google Notes into evernote. any help, tips, advice is greatly appreciated!
  4. This is primarily for Springpad users who are looking to migrate to Evernote--we're aware that we're nearing the date when data must be moved off of Springpad (June 25th, very close!) and have been actively looking into issues related to converting your content over to Evernote, as well as updating a KB article for those migrations. This should provide everything needed for a seamless migration, as well as detail some of the differences you'll run into between the two services: http://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/65972638
  5. Hi, I have always used both Springpad and Evernote.... It seemed springpad did a lot of things better/easier, so I split my allegiance between the two. Now that Springpad is leaving I converted everything to Evernote but for the life of me can not figure out a couple of things. The first is I always saved my bookmarks in Springpad ... when they converted I see the underlined url... but when I click it nothing happens. I even tried to create new bookmarks and they don't seem to work either. What am I missing??? I was using latest firefox switched to chrome did not have any effect. I am running windows 7 , malware popup blocker antivirus. Also... I use to use Springpad for my Grocery List. I have tried for 10 days to figure out how to show / hide checked items on my shopping list. Finally gave up and switched to Google Keep for those lists. I still would like to know how to see or not see checked items if anyone knows how. Thanks, Debbie
  6. Good morning, I am trying to make the switch from Springpad to Evernote and am having issues importing my notes from there to here. I have done a good amount of searching online, and am aware this comes up regularly, but can't find anything either recent or that works. (With so many changes to each program, any workaround seems to inevitably become obsolete, fairly quickly.) I am pretty computer literate and proficient, but I am no coder. I was hoping someone might be able to suggest something I could try. I am working off of a Mac and use Chrome. I have exported the .zip from Springpad, extracted the folder, yet when I try and import anything into Evernote, I can't chose any folder or file. Any help, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  7. Imported my recipes from Springpad. All have an image in the same part of the Springpad recipe template. Once imported to EverNote only a few show these in the notebook summary page and the EverNote Food summary page - the same ones in both. Any ideas as to why and what to do to fix this?
  8. I have just converted from Springpad and do miss the function to hide checked list items. Or at least as in Google notes to sort them automatically to the end. Some other functionallity I miss: - Automatic save of all changes without having to use the save button (check) - Offline functionallity on my mobile. - When editing it would be nice to have the cursor on top of my notes instead at the end, where I have to scroll down every time I want to ad something. Or at least the view of my list would jump to the cursor. If somebody knows how to change settings to achieve this behavior I would appriciate if you let me know. Thanks, Sigi

    ios Very disappointed

Thanks for "listening" and for not jumping down my throat in response. I am not trash-talking your beloved program, but rather making a suggestion that will allow it to be even more versatile. As a user and lover of Springpad, I was very saddened to hear that the app was discontinuing its functionality. However, I was relieved to know they had an exit strategy in supporting an export of all data to another application - Evernote. Yay! Another free app to manage my lists. Except it's not. I've read a few posts on this forum about people who are disappointed that there is no option to "hide" (rather than remove) checked items in a given list. This would allow those people who want to view their accomplishments the freedom to do so AT THE SAME TIME as giving the option to others to hide checked items when necessary. I truly believe that EN needs to consider adding this to its already wonderful platform. Even IF this wasn't part of the original plan (to be a useful list-making tool) I believe that given the flood of Springpad users that will come EN's way, this is absolutely something that needs to be added to EN's repertoire.
  10. I converted my Springpad to Evernote, since they are shutting down. My only problem, so far, is that the attachments in my notes won't show up........ "Image Can't be Loaded" .....................in my android device (Samsung Note 3). They do show up in my Windows version. So far, it's only jpg and it's saying I don't have a program to open it, which I know I do. Does anyone have a solution for this?
  11. The ability to click on a notebook and get a list of all (clickable) tags within. This is especially needed/missed on the mobile app as navigation is a bit more difficult there....(ie: still can't display/list notes by tag in a notebook....which is a major oversight).
