I don't know where to put suggestions. I can't find any contact info, so if someone can help direct me, let me know. First I wanted to say, I absolutely love the clean look for the new beta version of Evernote. I stopped using this service years ago because the "clutter" was just driving me insane. Everytime I logged in I had a distracting mess of notes and pictures. And whenever I put some "NSFW" images on here and whenever I would log in, it was the first thing that I saw. With the streamlined beta version that doesn't happen anymore. I really want to jump on board and get the monthly subscription and everything. I want Evernote to be pretty much like my backup brain and just put everything in here. I am a more visual person, and I would love it if we could have more options to "view" our notes in particular notebooks. Different views for different types of notes, just like in any operating system. You can have a list view for documents or an icon view for pictures. I am a much more visual person and I like to include images in my notes, especially for ideas I get. The now defunct Springpad did this perfectly. I was considering migrating to them, but honestly they can't compare to Evernote. This type of style is becoming popular, and can be seen in sites like Pinterest or Tumblr. Although, I like to keep most of my ideas private and sites like Pinterest have more of a social media focus to it. I would love if we can have an "icon view" option like in Springpad. It can have a square with a summary of the note. If the note has an image, it can include and image with a shorter summary. Or it can include the image, with the text overlayed in white on top of it [like FB does]. Here is an example of Springpad
I have just converted from Springpad and do miss the function to hide checked list items. Or at least as in Google notes to sort them automatically to the end. Some other functionallity I miss: - Automatic save of all changes without having to use the save button (check) - Offline functionallity on my mobile. - When editing it would be nice to have the cursor on top of my notes instead at the end, where I have to scroll down every time I want to ad something. Or at least the view of my list would jump to the cursor. If somebody knows how to change settings to achieve this behavior I would appriciate if you let me know. Thanks, Sigi
UltimateLeigh posted a topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 8.24.6 and under)Thanks for "listening" and for not jumping down my throat in response. I am not trash-talking your beloved program, but rather making a suggestion that will allow it to be even more versatile. As a user and lover of Springpad, I was very saddened to hear that the app was discontinuing its functionality. However, I was relieved to know they had an exit strategy in supporting an export of all data to another application - Evernote. Yay! Another free app to manage my lists. Except it's not. I've read a few posts on this forum about people who are disappointed that there is no option to "hide" (rather than remove) checked items in a given list. This would allow those people who want to view their accomplishments the freedom to do so AT THE SAME TIME as giving the option to others to hide checked items when necessary. I truly believe that EN needs to consider adding this to its already wonderful platform. Even IF this wasn't part of the original plan (to be a useful list-making tool) I believe that given the flood of Springpad users that will come EN's way, this is absolutely something that needs to be added to EN's repertoire.
I converted my Springpad to Evernote, since they are shutting down. My only problem, so far, is that the attachments in my notes won't show up........ "Image Can't be Loaded" .....................in my android device (Samsung Note 3). They do show up in my Windows version. So far, it's only jpg and it's saying I don't have a program to open it, which I know I do. Does anyone have a solution for this?
