  1. I read that the Snapscan ix500 (NOT the special Evernote edition) lets you scan directly into Evernote without using a PC or a tablet. A year or so ago I tried and failed to figure out how to do this. Can someone point me to instructions? If, contrary to what I read, you must have a tablet or PC in order to scan directly to Evernote, what iPad application should I use to scan to Evernote as conveniently as possible? I want to set this up for use by my wife, who's not highly skilled in using PCs or tablets. Finally, if I had 20-20 hindsight, would buying some other scanner have allowed me to scan directly to Evernote, without a PC or tablet? There's always the chance that I might be able to work out a trade. Thanks oodles for the help! Cheeers,
  2. I would have the option while scanning documents to choose to make one PDF in a note or alle the documents as a separate note. Think of the situation of 15 invoices on a A4. In the software of the Snapscan it will create 1 PDF so i will have to scan every invoice separate. That is not a efficient workflow... I did read that the Fujitsu i500 scanner can do this so i think that it is possible to make changes to the software ? Thanks ! Evernote asked me to post this on this forum so please vote on this issue !!! Thanks ! I also encourage you to post this as a feature request on our Evernote Product Feedback Forum so that more users can vote on this issue as our product team does spend time on the forums gathering feedback as well.
  3. This may or may not be related to the overall issues we see with ScanSnap's Sierra problems however is anyone having a 'separate" issue when scanning to EN from ScanSnap where the EN icon stays in the Dock and then gives this error: "failed to startup EverNote for Mac"? Only happens when scanning to PDF or JPG into EN. I can workaround by scanning into DropBox or other, and then moving the PDF into EN.
  4. What additional features aside from multiple users per scanner (if you have the scanner) and document auto-capture (not having to press the 'take a picture' button on the app) does this app have? Does it solve the problem of the scanner pairing multiple documents in one PDF file, or the numerous other scanner 'problems' I read about on the forums? Not antagonizing here, just trying to get some clarity as to whether or not it improves your scanner experience. I for one don't have multiple users ... but don't plan on purchasing the scanner until a few of the issues I read about are fixed from within the software. So ... does this app fix any of those issues?
  5. I was on here a couple of months ago because I had spent $1000 between Evernote Business accounts and a Evernote scanner. 2 MONTHS ON THEY STILL DON'T WORK. I live in the UK so between the time zone difference and non responsive support, I have traded, on average ONE email EVERY TWO DAYS with "support". By the way, I still can't turn on Linkedin integration or it crashes my machine!!!!!! I collect a lot of business cards and bought the scanner for the main purpose of the fraudulently sold integration of Linkedin. I also expected that after spending so much of my hard earned cash with these clowns, I would get $1000 worth of service. I haven't. My 2 month odyssey ended with TERRY O sending me a WORK AROUND, which was basically don't use the business card function and store all BUSINESS CARDS IN A PERSONAL ACCOUNT!!! You have to understand that for over a month so that I could scan stuff, they had me using an alternate account, which I transferred all the notes from the other day. Well, all my notes came in but were NOT in notebooks so I SPENT A DAY MOVING THEM AND CREATING NEW NOTEBOOKS IN MY OLD ACCOUNT. I have reinstalled snapscan and evernote dozens of time, and as of TODAY I still can't turn on Linkedin integration!!!!! SUPPORT IS NONEXISTANT, PRICES ARE EXTREME FOR WHAT YOU GET, DO NOT START USING THIS SYSTEM FOR YOUR BUSINESS UN;ESS YOU WANT TO PAY TO BE A BETA TESTER.
  6. I fear this is a stupid question. But here goes. I'm using the Snapscan ix500 (the generic one not the one offered by Evernote). If I have a 10 or 20 page document and I scan it to a PDF that can go into a single note. However, when I have it scan into Evernote to JPG it puts each "page"/jpg image into its own note. How do I get it scan the entire document (running perhaps 10 or 20 pages) into a single note? By which I mean, 10 to 20 individual jpg files, ordered in the order scanned, in a single note as opposed to multiple notes?
  7. Just purchase the new Snapscan Evenote scanner and a Snapscan s1300i. On the s1300i I can tell the manager to take a multipage input and create a separate PDF file for each page; but I cannot find a way to do the same on the Snapscan Evernote. I know there must be a way; but have not found it yet. Can someone help. Thanks
  8. Hi, I'm trying to scan documents on my Fujitsu SnapScan S1300i to create OCR searchable PDFs which are automatically attached to a new Evernote note. Seems like it should be easily doable - the profiles in the SnapScan software allows you to create a profile where OCR and Evernote applications are selectable. But what I've found is that if I have the OCR box checked AND the Scan to Evernote option selected, it will create an OCR searchable file (eg. can search for text on Preview) but no Evernote note is created. If I uncheck the OCR box, then it will create an Evernote note but the scanned file opened on Preview is not searchable. Has anyone else had this experience, or can anyone suggest why this is happening? Thanks
  9. I've been using EN premium for more than a year and its time to get a dedicated scanner. I'm thinking about the snapscan 1300. I want to know if my wife and I can "share" the scanner. Is it possible to scan to my EN account when hooked to my computer, and then attach it to her MacBook so she can scan to her EN account?
  10. Just got a Jujitsu ScanSnap S1100 to use with evernote and wanted to ask a few questions: a) I'm using the "SnapScan Manager v3.2 L10" that came with the scanner - assume this is the best approach re software? b ) is there a way to auto-delete the scanned file (PDF in my case) on my Mac after the Evernote upload is complete? can't seem to see it c) is terms of tagging/folder etc I'm currently just waiting until it uploads into Evernote & then using the Evernote Mac application to set this stuff - is this the best approach? I haven't found any evernote folder/tag defaults or settings in the scapscan manager software... d) is there a way to do auto-mated upload to Evernote? i.e. so you don't have to choose from the "SnapScan Manager" the Evernote PDF upload option each time?
