  1. Currently EN only allows sharing at the notebook level. This greatly limits the functionality for those of us who use stacks, because it prevents us from sharing our hierarchical structure, and all context is lost. For instance, let's say I want to share: Project 1 (stack) - Tasks - Notes project 2 (stack) - Tasks - Notes All the users us going to see is four notebooks, two named tasks and two named notes, they won't be able to see which project they are stacked under. All context is lost. And I have to share every single notebook. And before someone tells me how I can use a workaround , I know I could but I don't want to use a cumbersome workaround, I'd really like to see this added as a feature. Thanks
  2. I received a note from another user thorugh work chat and now I cannot erase it. I even changed the settings so no one else can see the note, including the person who shared the note with me. If I cannot erase it because the note belongs to someone else, at least I want to not see it any more. The delete opcion is blocked. How can I take out this note from my list of notes. I can hide it, but really I want to delete.
  3. There's a big feature missing in evernote shared notebooks. There should be a feature of getting notifications and alerts when someone edits a share note or notebook.
  4. Someone is sharing me a note and I would like to add it to my home screen in my smartphone but I do not see the option to do it, I only can do it with my own notes How can I add to home screen that note?
  5. Hello, I am trying to share notes, in particular with a public link, however, I keep receiving a notification telling me to verify my email first. I press the Verify Email button, but I never get the email. I have done this many times through the past two weeks and still no email. I have checked all spam filters. Does anyone have any ideas? I also tried opening a ticket, but I never received an email confirmation of the ticket.
  6. When I try to share a note from a unshared or shared notebook to a user that I have already shared different notes with in the past, the link to the newly shared note is suppose to appear in the work chat room that already exists, but instead, it always create a new work chat room. And in that re-created new work chat room, I'm able to post messages, but it's not sent to the other user that's in the room. And in my re-created new work chat room where there suppose to be a timestamp for each messages, it'll just say "...". Also, most of the time the link to the newly shared note is not sent to the user who is suppose to receive the link. But that user can access the note if they go look for it by themselves. The issues above occurred in both Windows10 and Windows7. OS: Windows10 Pro 1709 Build: 16299.248 Evernote for Windows: 6.11.2.7027 (307027) Public (CE Build ce-43.0.4829)
  7. I found today one of my notes had been edited with a bunch of emojis, what looks like swear words and drawn lines. When I opened the note a dialog said (something like) 'user locked from editing this note' It looks like a hackbot doing weird stuff. The names Stephen and Mary appear in it. I double checked and this note is not set to be shared! The youtube link is mine, as well as the first few lines
  8. Hi. I'm a basic user, operating on the Windows desktop app. Whenever I try to share, I go through the usual window. You can see in the attached image where I select who to share with. The problem is that when I click on someone's profile, the note doesn't get sent to that profile. A whole new one is created, which you can see in the image of my work chat. The person I want to share with (and the profile that I clicked on) is shown at the top of the work chat. Instead, a blank profile with that person's name is created at the bottom of the chat and the note is shared there. The original profile does not receive the shared note. The only way I've been able to share notes is copying the share link and pasting it into work chat. I don't know why this is happening. I have walked through the steps with my coworkers and they say they do the exact same thing, but they are able to share notes with me via the share button. I've also attempted to share notes within folders that are already shared with everyone (just in case it might be a permissions thing), but I get the same results. Can anyone help?
  9. E.g. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s294/sh/2098f175-dc8c-4e55-ae83-0556117ce5b3/0f104e7a94612489 But I found that some shared notes did not prompt. e.g: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s12/sh/4d971333-8b65-45d6-857b-243c850cabf5/25771cdb535e9183 ps: visit the above link without logging in evernote. What can I do to remove this prompt?
  10. Hi everybody, I'm about to unshare a notebook I used to share with a colleague. Inside this notebook we both created notes. I'd like to know: 1. will the notes created by my colleague be still there once I unshare the notebook? in other words: will they become "only mine" once I unshare? 2. will I be able to share again the notebook in the future? 3. is there any other point I should care of before unsharing the notebook in order to not lose data? Thank you for your replies. Have a nice day Daniele
  11. Example (see image below): The green links allow me to navigate within the Evernote app. The blue public links allow friends to navigate easily between notes that I have made public. The issue: I find it tedious to insert both links. Non-Evernote users who I share notes with are confused by the difference between the green & blue links Proposed solutions: Offer an option to automatically insert both the blue and green links at the same time, or Offer an option to insert a link that works both in the app and for the public. An icon could be used to indicate which links are publicly accessible.
  12. Web clipper of previous version was not working at all, used to show the message of 'clip failed'. But the new or updated version is clipping well like the second last or third last versions of Evernote. But the only problem I'm facing now is that the format of clipping is already too simple and complicated. The text and every data including heading, sub headings, body, etc all are coming in same line and not aligned at all, making it very difficult to read and manage the note. In order to maintain the note I have to edit it and manage everything myself, unlike second and third last versions where the page on web which I used to clip, gets saved as it is, including the page color. There only drawback was that sometimes the whole text or table contents were not totally viewable but after Simplifying formatting the contents are viewable but alignment was bizzare. *Evernote should have this facility of clipping the web page as it is, while keeping the full content including tables and charts as it is, if any, in alignment. Without Simplifying the formatting. I hope that Evernote team read my post and take my suggestion. So that all Evernote users including me can have a better experience on Evernote than ever before. For example, the link of web page I clipped is mentioned below https://www.draparajita.com/medicines/homeopathic-remedies-for-fungal-infections/97/ And how it clipped that I'm attaching a portion of the clip as screenshot. Please go through it.
  13. I shared several notebooks a while ago with the other employees in my department. I was able to remove the share, for the employee that no longer needs access, for all of the notebooks except the one. On this notebook I do not have the option to revoke share, only to change the type of access. How do I revoke the share? I am using the Windows version 6.7.4.5741.
  14. When on the general interface of evernote you have an overview of alle notebooks and notes. Is there a way of directly viewing :a/ If a note is shared. b/ To who a note is shared with. Without having to dig in to the note itself. This way you would have a quick overview of shared notes and to whom they are shared to.. Nico
  15. I prefer Evernote shares for sensitive information over email. Once the recipient has downloaded a document, I remove the share. Today I found that I still shared a couple of documents with potentially sensitive information. So I would like to have an overview of what Notes and Notebooks I have created public shares for. I found a forum post that contains a workaround: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/89445-is-... But I am sure the next time I need it, I will have to look it up again. Wouldn't it be useful to have a view where all shares are listed?
  16. Hi everyone, When I share a text to Evernote, the note appears between HTML tags. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE en-note SYSTEM "http://xml.evernote.com/pub/enml2.dtd"><en-note style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;"><div>Por entre as vaias e a cruel zombaria da multid&#227;o, Jesus foi conduzido ao G&#243;lgota. Ao transpor o limiar do pret&#243;rio de Pilatos, impuseram-Lhe sobre os feridos ombros a cruz destinada a Barrab&#225;s.&#160; - FPV 5.1</div></en-note> I'm using the latest version to android. Thanks.
  17. I shared a note with a non-EverNote user - <share> <send note> <entered their e-mail address> They receive link to sign up for an account They sign up for an account They are now looking at a blank evernote account & there is nothing on the page that tells them how to access the chat or the note I just shared with them. I have found numerous how-to's on how I should share a note but no pictures and details for non-evernote users on how to receive the chat. This person is now a confirmed evernote hater but could someone please send me a link to detailed instructions for any future people I need to share notes with.
  18. 2 years ago, a teacher shared a notebook with me and a dozen students. The teacher still works here; she is the owner. For some reason, I find I can neither delete or leave the notebook. I also can't delete myself as a member of the share. Is my only solution to ask the teacher to unshare the notebook with me? I seem to remember that I could leave other shared notebooks in the past... Any ideas? Mac Desktop App vs. 6.12 beta 2.
  19. Hi there! We are using a html icon on our websites to clip website to evernote. Evernote icon open the following url: https://www.evernote.com/clip.action?url=${url}&t=${title} Unfortunately evernote response with not expressive error, for example: Request to https://www.evernote.com/clip.action?url=https://www.wertesysteme.de&t=title returns following error: Clipping error Sorry, we were unable to capture Clip:https://www.wertesysteme.de at https://www.wertesysteme.de. Some web sites are constructed in a way that prevents us from clipping their content. Can we somehow get the exact error? Are there any debug tools? Thank you very much in advance
  20. [Writing on behalf of a client] When he shares a note with a non-Evernote-User, they get sent to a web page which displays the title, text, attachments very nicely on mobile. When sharing a notebook with a non-user (for a group trip), they get sent to the Evernote website in a browser on mobile. Not easy to read (tiny text) and a pain to go between individual notes. Is there a way to make this a more user-friendly format? Would be an easy win to possibly get new users if sharing a Notebook was formatted beautifully for non-users. They'd be impressed with their Evernote savvy friend and want to be able to do the same.
  21. Hi, I am very new or relatively new to Evernote. I would like to know if I could read my notes with other applications.
  22. Evernote has been missing from the Share menu in the Mac task bars for over a month! Has any progress been made in restoring it?
  23. There should be an option to modify sharing for multiple selected notes. When you have a single note selected, you can do Modify Sharing and disable public link. When you have multiple shared notes selected, you cannot go into Modify Sharing for all.
  24. Hi There! We are getting Evernote to our business solution and we have a problem with "sharing" The idea is, to share all notes with specific tag. We have plenty of projects and we dont want to share all notes in projects with all people. Like customer orders with programmers etc. So, basicly we want to share all notes with specific tag to specific people or specific group(manage somewhere on website etc). For example: I have tag @customer_support and I want to share all notes with tag @customer_support to all people in group "support". This could be REALLY usefull!
  25. I have a grocery list in Evernote using checkboxes for myself, and I wish, my wife, to modify to indicate food needed for the grocery store. I use Evernote for PC. I want her to be able to edit it on her iPhone, preferably if she doesn't have Evernote since I don't think she uses it. I have listed her E-mail as one that edit the note. It is NOT a public link. On her iPhone, I created a shortcut that links to the note. However, she can't edit. In fact, even if I follow that note to the Web-Evernote, I can't edit it. What settings should I use.
