I have been struggling to use the web clipper effectively, since it seems to prevent the user from selecting the region they want to clip when using the Simplified Article mode (or really anything other than selection). For example, I am trying to clip this web forum page, but I run into issues with each approach. I've attached screenshots of the types of clips below. The full article basically does a full page capture, but as you can see in the screenshot ("full.JPG"), it, as expected, captures all the background colors and formatting. To remove this, I attempted using the simplified article view. As you can see in "simplified_top.JPG," it does simplify correctly, but in the "simplified_bottom.JPG" image, you can see that the article stops at the end of the first forum post. Not only is there no way to tell the Web Clipper to collect more than just that, I can't seem to find a way to capture the remaining data as a simplified article and append it by merging notes. I am wondering how I can go about capturing everything in simplified form (so I can delete the remainder later), or force it to capture a selected region, but with the simplified formatting. Thanks!
I'm on a Mac with OSX 10.7.9. I'm using the latest version of Evernote for the desktop, 6.0.16. Something new has just starting happening in the last two or three days. When I try to edit a note and put the insertion point where I want to type, typing just one character immediately selects from the insertion point to the end of the current paragraph. Typing another character then, of course, replaces all the selected text with that next character. I've never seen anything like it. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any ideas about how to correct it?
Hi everyone. I am a big fan of Evernote and depend on it for my every day life. With the heavy usage, there are features that I would like changed for a more effective performance. When using the copy and paste feature on Evernote (Android), Evernote limits selection when bullets and numbers are involved. I do not see the point in doing so and I know that the application on windows does not have this limitation. So if I wanted to copy all of the words in the example above. I would first have to select "example:" copy and paste it into wherever. Then Select "I work with bullet points a lot." Then copy and paste it into wherever Then Select "When I try to copy and paste the bullet points" then copy and paste it wherever Then Select "I am only able to select one bullet point content at a time" then copy and paste it wherever. Process is the same if I want to bold everything or highlight, etc. In other words, it takes a process that should take 5 seconds into something that can take 5-10 min depending on how much content and bullet (or number) points I want to select. By the way. If you remove the bullets, you still CANT select everything at once. The app believes that the bullet is still there and will not let you select all of the content at one time. Please FIX!
