I own a Fujitsu S1500 Scansnap, i'd like to set it up to scan and automatically put the documents into evernote as simple and effective as possible... I have a Macbook Pro with Mavericks 10.9 and windows 7 as well as a office desktop with windows 7, so wondering what advantages between using either OS would make any difference... Can the S1500 be as easy as the Evernote Edition scansnap ? Basically I want to scan all my purchase invoices from utility bills to shopping receipts for my business and able to find them on ipad/ iphone app and some kind of organisation on evernote when it scans them into evernote Thanks
Im a first time user so please be gentle with me if I inadvertently flout the protocol of the forum. I have Evernote in my dock and usually with the window open. 'keep in dock' and 'open at login' are both checked. When I scan a new document I get an additional scan to Evernote icon that appears briefly and then a brand new Evernote window opens. I now have two Evernote Icons in my dock and two Evernote windows open. The new one has the new document proudly on view while the original window that was open all the time doesn't show the new document until I sync it. Any subsequent scans are sent to the new window, ie it doesn't open a new window for every scan. I would like Scan snap to recognise that Evernote is already open and not open a new window when I scan a document. Thanks in advance for any help with this irritation.
I have just bought a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 and I know many user here have the same scanner. I can get it to scan each side of paper as a single PDF document but how do I set it up to scan each piece of paper as a single document? This would mean that a double sided page would end up as a single two-page PDF document whilst single sided page would end up as a single one-page document. It's starting to look like this isn't possible. Any ideas? Thanks!
I want to scan, then save my OCR'd document locally and push to Evernote. I can do all of this but have one problem, the wait for the OCR to take place before I can scan my next document. If I skip the local OCR processing I can scan immediately, but I want the local OCR copy. To give more context, my use is scanning post and the scanner is remote from the PC (the screen is 20ft away) so my ideal is to open the scanner, drop in the document, hit the scan button and repeat. Not able to see the screen I don't know when the OCR has completed, and most importantly I don't won't to wait. Am I missing a method where I can just keep scanning, the OCR'ing gets queued as the onward local save and upload to Evernote? My scanner is the Fujitsu S1500, I appreciate this is a wider question than just EN, but hope the knowledgeable community here may have good advice :-).
