Support Right to Left (RTL) direction
Amir All replied to mostafa's question in General Feature Requests
Hello. Imagin you want to write a note and suddenly, the text is acting weird all of the sudden: A word ends up at the end of the sentence, the rest of the sentence after that word. After a couple of that incident, your input is rendered unreadable. So. This is how the middle eastern, are experiencing @EverNote right now. Being one of those middle eastern, I find it unbearable to use Evernote. There already have been topics on this matter, and they have been ignored. I would love it if Evernote team reconsiders this important and vital feature. Thank you.- 246 replies

Support Right to Left (RTL) direction

I know this feature has been asked many times on this forum. I haven't found real answer though. I just want to re-emphasize its importance with the competing with OneNote. I know I can overcome this by pasting from MS Word but formatting text will be difficult to manage then.- 246 replies

Support Right to Left (RTL) direction

I started working with Evernote on my Desktop (Windows). It looks promissing, but lacks RTL support in the note Title and Editor, so not friendly to RTL languages. Is this part of the product limitations or can I achieve this somehow? Thanks! Mor -
I am bilingual user (En/Ar). I've used Evernote's products since 2008. However, Evernote lacks Arabic support including RTL and OCR. There are about 400 millions Arabic speakers. Also Arabic letter are used by many other langages such as Urdu, Persian and Kurdish. I would like to see Arabic support in Evernote products.

Hi Evernote program is very good and has many features. but there is a problem for Right-to-Left languages. which languages are rtl ? answer: Farsi(Persian) and Arabic. in evernote we can set align to right, but there is not any ltr to rtl changer and when be this problem the dot of end of sentence go first, and some other. Please add 'rtl direction' item to toolbox. Thankfully. -
Support Right to Left (RTL) direction

I am an Arabic user and I would like to see Arabic fully supported in upcoming release of Evernote. I could use Arabic for notes but It appears in LTR direction. also Evernoe couldn't recognize scanable documents and cars for the lack of Arabic letter OCR. Arabic letter is used beside Arabic by Urdu, and Persian and other languages. -
hi, many years i am using evernote and more than 90% of my notes are in persian that is a right-to-left language. i currently use right alignment but it is not working as excpectedly. all signs like ,.)(!? and others moves to left side of line and letters are in right direction. also the text cursor always stays on begining of line in right side and does not follow the position of currently typing letter. look at the text below. it is an example of writing with a rtl language in evernote. all the signs in end of line (like . ! : ) placed in right side but should be in left as the end of rtl sentence. سلام. این یک متن فارسی نمونهاست! این هم یک نمونهی دیگر از علامت پرانتز: به جهان خرم از آنم که جهان خرم از اوست(سعدی) as it is a very basic requirement for milions of people in the world writing in a rtl languages(like arabic, persian, hebrew), please fix it and add support for rtl languages.

Is there a plan to introduce Hebrew OCR to search in pictures in Evernote? That would be so great. even more then a native RTL support.... Thank you

is there a way to write in a RTL format? It's impossible to use evernote when your text gets all messed up from the LTR text direction...

Right-to-Left Support for 'Simplified Article'
Ashkan N posted a topic in General Discussion Archive
I have reviewed the discussions for right-to-left (RtL) support issues. But, most of them are general. I know that Evernote now supports RtL in note's body in Windows. But, when I want to clip right-to-left web pages as 'Simplified Article', the RtL formatting is lost immediately; while clipping as 'Article' maintains the formatting. Regards, Ashkan-
