  1. At present, the structural organization of Evernote is in dire need of improvement. Here are the no-brainer features that should be added to Evernote as soon as humanly and technically possible. 1) The contents of every note are organized into sections 2) Every notebook is organized into sub-notebooks 3) Stacks are organized into folders aka meta-stacks. My request basically boils down to adding 3 new structural entities: 1) note sections; 2) sub-notebooks; 3) meta-stacks. If you agree that these features need to be added, please upvote this post. I hope to get an official response from the Evernote Development Team as to whether the abovementioned features are going to be added.
  2. Hey! It just occurred to me that perhaps would be great if Evernote Clipper has a "template" to clip wikipedia, in the same way it clips LinkedIn, YouTube or Amazon. I clip a lot wikipedia, and usually it get quite messy. It would be great if you can clip in a more clear way.
  3. Tables as database

I've just tried the new platform Coda.io. It has a feature called tables that lets you create tables as a database with different type of content per column (date, checkbox, etc). Once you have a table with data it allows you to create different views with filters over the data on the table. All is integrated in a text document format. If Evernote had this feature it would mean, in a lot of cases, saying goodbye to Excel and having all in Evernote finally. Table with data: Views:
  4. So I have a few long notes which I constantly add to from my phone, and it's really inconvenient having to scroll all the way to the bottom to add 2 words. Can we please have a setting or button which allows easy movement of the cursor to the bottom of the note?
  5. The current numbering list does not allow hierarchical levels and is really hard to use.
  6. Greetings, In the Evernote Mobile app on my iOS I regularly work from the "All Notes" view because my notes are recent projects. Each Notebook is the name of a project. When I scan the list of notes it'd be awesome if the note could show the Notebook name on the top right. Then I can easily know the topic (e.g. project) for the note. See attached for what I mean. Cheers.
  7. Request: Secret Notebook

I would like Evernote creat the option to turn a notebook to "Secret". It means the content of the notebook would NOT appear on general search. We could reach the notebook content only if we make a earch inside the notebook.
  8. We at moo.do would love to support drag/drop from your windows app into ours, or any other web based app. Support for this already exists on OSX by proving the Internal Link as post text/plain and text/html that is otherwise accessible by right clicking the Note or Notebook and selecting Copy Internal Link. In all browsers tested, drag/drop from Evernote into a web based app did not make any information available. Thanks, Grant
  9. My requested feature is an addition to the Evernote top menu. From the top menu, select <Format> From the format menu, select <Paragraph> At the top of the paragraph menu please add <New Paragraph> The purpose of this requested feature is to provide a means to change formatting to manually add content or comments to an existing note that was clipped from a WebSite. I assume you can implement this feature by putting a <div> tag represented on-screen as a thin grey line, and a blank line where the user can type with default (or customizable) formatting, followed by a </div> tag represented on screen as another then grey line. An example note in which I was unable to add an unformatted set of notes after the section that was clipped from the web is: http://www.evernote.com/l/AArO5hgbOwlNq7iTftgIte9fLbuDoLq5Wus/ That is my mail request and it is the purpose of this email. However, as I have been writing this note, I wished it were possible for me to identify myself to you as a premium user without making my account details available to those who see this post. Your software does not provide a simple means of allowing a customer to uniquely identify him/herself with an account ID or account number. Since I have two Evernote accounts, it is often a cause of confusion when trying to discuss program issues, since my default email has a different Evernote account than the one I use most of the time. Thank You.
  10. The ability to grab/drag the scroll bar on iOS, instead of swiping up/down. This also avoids the issue of accidentally clicking text and opening the editor while scrolling
  11. A lot of times using skitch, I want to show that 2 parts of the screenshot are not equidistant. A simple pixel measurement tool would be incredibly useful. Basically, its a tool that as you drag measures the pixels between the endpoints and displays it below. looks like this I___________I I____I 32px 12px It's not important that it's super precise, just that it shows an approximation of the size of the line. Additionally you could have a small tick showing the halfway point I____i____I 20px
  12. Dear dev team, I like Evernote very much, but I don't use it for typing. Why? very uncomfortable. i'm a professionnal writer and I'm writing in hirizontal mode by 2 tumbs. In evernote horiz interface you left only 4 lines of the text. It's very few!!! Please add the possibility to switch off all unuseful boards. Look at the good example: the format boards appear only after SELECTION. I hope you'll try to create your app more comfortable for people who are really WRITING Thanks for your attention See the examples in the attach file.
  13. Numbering notes pages

I use Evernote to take notes and keep a record of all my meetings by handwritten notes on ipad pro (and previously Samsung note) as I am an exhaustive note taker. One problem I have is easily navigating between pages of notes. Would it be possible to assign a live page number to each section of a note that would easily allow navigation between notes. It would be especially useful to be able to easily flip from Page 1 to the end of the notes as I often pre-prepare a front page summary of the things I want to cover during the meeting but find it difficult as things go during the meeting to flip back and forward to remind me of all the things happening. Thanks Brett
  14. I know this has been mentioned before, but I think it's worth posting again. It would be really useful and a better UX if searches included tag hierarchy. Or at the very least gave users an option to enable a hierarchical search of tags. For example given three tags where apple and banana are children of fruit: > fruit > apple > banana I add two notes, and tag one apple and the other one banana. Currently if I search 'tag:fruit' nothing is returned, but that is not intuitive given that I've organised my tags hierarchically. What I believe is more natural, is if I search 'tag:fruit' thej it should return anything tagged fruit, apple, or banana. Thanks!
  15. improve the annotate pdf text highlight features so the highlight snaps to text, in the same way chrome web clipper alread annotates text. currently annotate pdf highlight text is freehand and highlights look ugly. see attached for two examples - the neat snap to text style highlight from webclipper, and the more ugly freehand version from annotate pdf
  16. Hello, Wouldn't it be great if Evernote could recognise bookmarks and clippings you've already tagged and made notes on?! Also via the Firefox addon button - let's say I'm on a webpage and I've added it as a bookmark to Evernote - but I've forgotten to add a few extra notes after viewing the rest of the webpage. Now, if I click the Firefox button again, it won't recognise that I've already clipped/tagged it and I can't see what I just entered, and can't make any quick amendments to it. So so frustrating... When I click the add-on again, I'd like to be able to make a few more additional notes real quickly, instead of having to go into Evernote and find the note, to make additional notes on that clipping. What else is possible..?! Thanks!
  17. It could be useful if the user can define some profiles or presets for web clipper. I often have clippings with the same settings (Notebook, Keywords, ...) and I have to set this settings everytime by hand. If I can define some presets for this, I only have to choose one of this presets while I'm clipping and it's done.
  18. I would like the option to sort my notes by last date/time opened. This would especially be useful for cookbooks; those recipes used most often would appear first. Perhaps this is already an option but I have been unable to find it.
  19. The ability to add longer comments to a specific portion of the PDF, in a way that doesn't block the view of the main text, would make Evernote a crucial part of the workflow for many Academics. While the highlighting tool in PDF annotation is wonderful, I'd like to be able to add anchored comments - longish text annotations anchored at specific points on the PDF using Evernote. So far, it looks like I can add text, but I have two choices: if it's hanging off the edge of the PDF it disappears, and if it's not hanging off the edge it covers the existing text of the PDF, making it worse than useless. The stamp tool only allows for very short little labels. Here's an example of what I mean. I think the addition of this capability would dramatically improve the PDF annotation tool, and help solidify Evernote's place in the world of Academic note-taking.
  20. I've found that on EN V8 for iOS, the app starts up with the note preview loaded. This is a big problem for me, as I have a lot of notes that are updated very regularly via IFTTT, and they are huge. It takes EN a while to load them, so I have to wait through freezes and crashes just to create a quick note. I think that the note preview shouldn't load on startup as it did in V7.
  21. 'Selective-Sync' for Windows PC

Hi, I had started a thread very long back for selective sync for evernote desktop client but I couldn't find it again here. So I am starting this new thread. I use Evernote for Everything that happens in my life and utilize all its features its been several months I stopped using all other cloud storage providers. The Only BIG PROBLEM I'm facing with evernote is the lack of Selective-Sync for Evernote Desktop client for Windows OS. I think there was a thread for mac as well I am not sure if anyone started for Windows OS. We also have same problem and I don't want all my stuff downloaded to computer eating all my storage. I'd like bring this one more time. I've STOPPED using evernote desktop for this only reason. Please make this high priority before this issue impacts all users of evernote. Hi All other evernote users please vote up on this topic if you are facing same problem so Evernote can prioritize a fix for this. Thanks, Sudhir.
  22. Hello evernote team. Could you please add the option to remove a reminder date from a note without removing the reminder from the note? What happens to me is that I use a saved search returning all notes that have a reminder on them. This is my "to do" list. Sometimes while viewing my "to do" list, I need to remove a date from a note but still need that note to have a reminder on it. Currently my only option is to remove the entire reminder, then go search for that note to add a new reminder that does not have a date attached to it. Also, if a date is applied to a reminder, can you please show that next to the reminder when viewing a note automatically, instead of having to click on the reminder and change date options to view the date/time? Thanks evernote! -Steven
  23. Aloha, This is referring to the little teeny-tiny icon that appears next to the file name field when you're ready to SEND or SAVE a scanned image. It would be helpful if this icon were changed (by color preferably) so it's easier to distinguish the file type at a glance. Mahalo & Aloha!
  24. Hello Right now there is no option to go back if you accidentally delete some words on note. Evernote is a note taking app and adding a feature where you can go back and undo your mistakes would be nice as almost every other note taking app has this feature. Thank you
  25. Hi, What I'm looking for is a feature like my post in this stack overflow post:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27950710/in-... If you scroll down on the page, you will see my post with the heading 'Try "Python Script" plugin'. If it could be possible to extend the desktop Evernote app so that I can add custom macros (e.g. using Python or another language/platform, such as .NET), it would really enhance my experience with using Evernote. The reason for the feature request is that it's great that new notes are timestamped when created, but if I realize that there was a typo or mistake in one of my previous notes, when I go to edit the note, it replaces the timestamp (of when it was created) with the timestamp from when it was *edited*, which causes me to not actually know when the note was created. This has caused me to instead depend on adding the actual time to various parts of a note so that I can easily find notes that are associated with a particular date or time by searching them for the string with the date. Despite my original motivation, I can see the utility of adding custom macros for inserting text. The potential is pretty limitless.By the way, the plugin pattern is super useful from an engineering perspective in general, and if you're using an IoC / DI container (such as Ninject or Castle Windsor) in your framework, it's very easy to extend the application to take plugins by reflecting over the namespace or file directory and loading the assemblies or modules at runtime. The key would be to ensure that you get the security right (to prevent malicious code from reaching your server), but I'm sure that there are ways to restrict the code loaded as 3rd party plugins.
