  1. I have found a way to create recurring reminders for Evernote with a litte help from Gmail and Google Calendar. Maybe it is helpful for someone who is missing this feature until Evernote hopefully implements it. There are a few possibilities out there in the web. But I wanted a free one and also one in my favorite eMail application. 1. Create a recurring calendar event in Google Calendar with a title, reminder, the notebook-name and a tag like: Newsletter !tomorrow @Office #marketing Newsletter - your reminder title !tomorrow - your reminder @Office - your notebook #marketing - your tag IMPORTANT Don't forget to activate, that you will be reminded to this event by eMail. 2. Go to "Settings" in Gmail - Klick on Forwarding Pop/IMAP and then on "add forwarding-address" - Place your Evernote eMail which you are using to forward anything into your inbox. It's an email like xxxxxxxx@m.evernote.com and safe it. Google will send directly (after you confirmed) a confirmation code to your Evernote eMail (xxxxxxxx@m.evernote.com) Go to your Evernote inbox. The eMail from Google lands there. Grab the confirmation code and paste it at Gmail to confirm your Evernote adres. 3. Set a filter in Gmail - Go to your Gmail account settings. - Set a new filter and place to the "FROM" field this address: calendar-notification@google.com - Click on "create filter with this search results" at the bottom right. - Then activate "forward to", and choose your Evernote eMail (which you have activated in Step 2) Save your filter. Done! I have tested it, it works very well. You are now able to set recurring calendar events for Evernote in Google Calendar. Google Mail forwards now calendar events with an activated eMail reminder from calendar-notification@google.com to your Evernote address. Evernote places the event including the reminder the specified notebook including the tag. There is just one issue when I am right. Correct me please, if I am wrong: You always have to set up your recurring reminders to "one day before", because there is no option in Evernote to specify a time for a reminder in the subject. Example: When you wanna be reminded regularly on a Friday, you have to set your reminder to thursday, because you are using !tomorrow in your subject. That's it. Hopefully this is helpful for someone. Regards. Note: Please Evernote. A small fine task management with recurring reminders would be really fine.
  2. Hello I would like to be able to set reccuring reminders on specific notes so that I can set up a note for recurring events that have to be dealt with. It would be nice if they could be set up in a way like: every 2 days every week every 2 weeks every month etc. Of course this could be even more specifc like: every last friday in the month. Kind regards, Leu
  3. Hi, this happens when I try to set a date for a note reminder: no matter the date I choose, evernote set always another day (the same for every different note). Best Nicola
  4. I can set the reminder in my Evernote IOS app - just don't get a notification or alert - I have Basic. I also have basic Evernote on my Mac and the alerts works? Is this due to the plan or settings? Thanks for any help!
  5. Is there a way to change the time on a Reminder? If you start work before 8, it may be too late by the time the reminder pops up. And if you start later (I start at 11 am some days) then it comes way to early. On those days, I'm not even out of bed yet at 8.
  6. hello it would be great if your overdue reminders was highlighted red or other colour e.g. https://goo.gl/ZuQpZC
  7. Does anyone know how to fix the time of a reminder? For example, when I go to create a new note it will always automatically set the reminder date the same day and the time +1 hour. I would love to know how to set the reminder time to always be 8am, so I have one less step. Unfortunately, tabbing between fields isn't easy in Evernote, otherwise I would be ok with that.Hoping there is a registry edit I can make to fix this? Thanks in advance
  8. The daily reminder email has been a great tool for me. I use it to guide actions for the day and usually print this out to stay on track as I move locations. The email is timely (~6am), simple and reliable. The format of this email is terrible, looks cheap and is not up to the Evernote standard of refinement. Some very simple edits could improve the page dramatically. Allow me to elaborate... The attached image from March 16 will be a great example. The primary problem is page real estate. Once the email header is printed there is 8.25 inches of space for the Evernote reminder message. This was a light day with only 4 items and you can see the page is full...only 4 reminders! Another reminder and it's pushed to a 2 page print, which would still mostly be redundant information. 1) The top portion of the message takes up 36% of the vertical page. Why do the items (evernote logo, date box and 'Here's What's due...") here have to be stacked? Look at all of that blank space on the left and right! These are clearly reminders since it's been marked as such all over the page. Why do I need to be told, 'Here's what's due today'? Delete this line. And, if this is really necessary, does it need to the the biggest text on the page? 2) The bottom portion takes up 27% of the page, every day, with the same redundant message. I know Evernote syncs across all my devices. I know how to download the app for every device. Does everyone really need to be told this, every day with such a giant notification? This entire block is really fine print so make it fine print and shrink it's footprint. 3) Since the top header and bottom fine print take up 36% and 27% respectively, that leaves only 36% of the first page for actual content. Only 1/3 of the page for content?!?! ...and look at all that blank page space. 4) Since this email amounts to a checklist, why not make it one? Left justify the note titles/notebook names and add some space to the left for a checkbox or area for handwritten notes about each item for the day. That would make this email usable as a checklist or agenda instead of the simple notice it appears to be. Any improvements in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your consideration!
  9. Hello, is it possible to receive a notification on Android for an Evernote note with reminder ? I receive such notification on workstation and a daily resume of reminders via email, but nothing on my Android smartphone when the Reminder is due. However all notifications are enabled for Evernote app under my Android v7.0 Thanks for attention and any clue Bye
  10. Hi, i am a lawyer and i use evernote a lot for taking notes for every case and for setting reminders for each case. My problem is that: a ) on one note i can set only one reminder. So let's say that on 15/1/2018 i have a court. If i set the reminder on 15/1/2018 the email notification will be send on the same day. To overcome this problem, i have to set the reminder one or two days before, but that means that on the same day there will be none notification. And copying the same note just to set a different date reminder is not a solution. I want to be able to set multiple reminders on the same note. b ) The simplest solution would be when i set the reminder lets say on 15/1/2018 an email notification will be send 3-4 days earlier and for all the days until the day of the event.
  11. Hello there Reminders on the desktop clients (at least I know about windows) are lacking some sort of notification, that is clearly visible when it matters. I mean, what is the point of setting up a time critcal reminder (since you have the option to do so) and not have it notify you in any useful way, when you are working at your desktop. Therefore I am suggesting some kind of notification that will stay visible until you deal with it. I would see several ways how this might be implemented (of course you should be able to turn it on or off). A Popup you have to click to remove it or a new menu option on the left where all reminders are visible and when one of the times is reached, the option turns red or something. or some other clearly visible way. Thanks and kind regards, Leu
  12. Hi, I'm using Evernote with very few notebooks, as I prefer to organise and to search with tags. As I'm using Evernote also for task management, I've created tags for recurring tasks: 'REC - 1 Day', 'REC - 2 Months', 'REC - 6 Weeks', etc. Until recurring reminders is implemented one day (if at all), this is working very well for me. Now my question: How can I search for all notes with a tag for recurring event? (So, how to search for notes with tags starting with 'REC'?) For a second, I thought I've found the solution myself by creating a tag group called 'RECURRING', with all my 'REC-tags' nested in it. Except tag groups are not really groups, but in fact just...a tag, referring to 0 notes. I was hoping it would show me the total of all notes nested within it. I hope I'm making sense here as english is not my native language : ) Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Vincent
  13. Hi please, how can I change the default time within a reminder?; Currently it is always 08:00, if so where can I set up another hour? I'd suggest you introduce a set up through your preferences, where you can set e.g. at 07:00 or another hour
  14. Hey guys, how do you create a reminder in the windows desktop version? I don't see a clock in the editing menu and there's nothing in the general menu either. Thanks for the help
  15. Hi all! I have created a reminder in a note by mistake. I don't want to lose the context of the note but I don't want it listed under reminders. How do I delete the reminder? How do I preserve the note? Thank you for any help. I am running the 6.12 beta on a Mac running the latest Sierra. Thanks again, Judy
  16. I have spent WAY WAY too much time on this and accidentally deleted my largest note. This is incredibly frustrating and I can't believe I have to go to a forum for this. But here goes: How do you delete a reminder? I accidentally created 2 reminders and now I have this fungus of a reminder on the left side of my window. I have tried unchecking, checking, right clicking, etc. Why they heck can't I just select and delete it? I'm enclosing a screen shot in case it helps. This is mac client version 6.11.1 Thanks!
  17. I wish there was a way to update the reminder date on a multiple-note selection set. I use evernote to manage a LOT of work tasks using reminders. Once a group of notes didn't get finished or I have to wait for something else to happen to work on them again, it would be MUCH handier to select multiple notes and set a new reminder date for the group!! Thanks, James
  18. I've just setup Cronofy calendar connector, which seems to work well (https://appcenter.evernote.com/app/calendar-connector/web-apps). But honestly, I'd be just as happy with a Reminder calendar I can subscribe to that puts a read-only all day event in my Google Calendar.
  19. Hello, I have a problem with the reminder function. If I enter a reminder in my notebook desktop app (Windows), the message does not appear on my mobile phone (Android) as soon as the time is reached. What can be the reason? It seems that the memory is not synchronized. The note but already.
  20. Unfortunately it seems not to be possible to see the current reminder time in the note itself (I can only have a list of all reminder times in the list area in the middle) Can you please add the currently set reminder time whether in the top status line and/or - what would be more intuitive - in the "Reminder"-Dialog. (I'm using german version, so I don't now the menu text in english version) please check attachment with mockup to show where you could place the date and time.
  21. I love being able to create reminders by forwarding emails to evernote. It would be great if I could also set the time of the reminder. Is it possible now and if so how? If not, I think it would be a very useful feature to add. Thanks.
  22. Good Day, during the last week, using the latest version of Evernote in my Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016), when I create notes with a reminder set on them, I don't receive any e-mail on the day where the reminder is set. The option in the control panel of Evernote, under the tab reminders, is obviously set on. I'm using the latest version of Evernote and there are not updates. The e-mail is not in the spam and i've not active filters in my Gmail account. Please can you help me? Maybe is a bug of the latest version. I'm using the Evernote Widget in my phone, for adding notes and reminders on them. Thanks a lot for the support. Best regards, Niccolò Patriarchi
  23. When I add a reminder to a note, the note will also create its public link at the same time. I know I could remove the link manually afterwards, but I rather want to stop it from creating at the first place. Does anyone know how to break this “link creating” relationship with adding a reminder? Thank you!
  24. After setting up a reminder on Evernote Web, is it possible to choose a method of notification?
  25. Hi, Apologies if this is ultra-obvious or has been discussed.... but I don't see the function and haven't found anything in discussions. Can you simply delete a Reminder from a note? I am using Mac client, IOS client and web versions... all is good, reminders are great... but I have several times created a Reminder on the wrong note and simply want to delete the reminder... and I can't see any way to do this. I realize I can hide them and/or check them off as complete... but I would prefer to simply delete those that are not needed. Any help appreciated.
