1. An exciting and much requested new feature for Evernote iOS is our new clipping capabilities with iOS 8! To set up you phone or tablet to clip web pages and share app content to Evernote: Sharing Button To add Evernote to the list of sharing options on your device, first tap the iOS sharing button, then follow these steps: Tap the iOS sharing button, then tap More to edit your sharing options. Tap the Evernote switch to add Evernote as a sharing extension and tap Done. Evernote appears in the list of apps your device can share to; Tap and drag Evernote if you'd like to move it to the front of the list. How do I clip and share web pages and content from other supported apps to Evernote? To save or share a web page, audio recording, photo, or any other content on your phone, follow these steps: Open the browser or app you’d like to share content from Tap the iOS sharing button (Chrome: Tap the menu options button on your device and tap the share Evernote option) Tap Evernote Once you've tapped Save, the web page or app content is clipped and shared to Evernote in the background. You have the option of selecting a notebook to save the clipped note to in Evernote. If you do not see Evernote as one of your sharing options, swipe through your apps until you see Evernote. You can tap and drag the Evernote app to the left so you don’t need to scroll to the end of the list. If you don’t see Evernote, make sure you’ve already added Evernote as a sharing extension. Clipping capabilities are available for Safari, Chrome, and other browsers that use the native sharing functionality and give you the option to share. (Note: To share on Chrome, tap three lines, then tap Share…) Learn more about clipping web pages on your mobile device in this Evernote Knowledge Base article https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/23193638

  3. @Evernote ( @Evernote Alex) Where are the announcements for Evernote for Mac 6.9.x Updates? AFAIK, there have been two updates, 6.9.1 and 6.9.2, but I have not seen any announcements or release notes posted by Evernote in this forum. For the longest time, Evernote always posted an announcement for every update, but recently it seems to be sporadic. It really helps to have these announcements so that: We are aware of an update We know what bug fixes and changes are provided We have a place to post any issues we find with the update. Please continue this practice.
  4. Evernote Mac 6.7.1 Update Well, it appears that once again Evernote has made an update to EN Mac without any announcement in the forums. At least I do not see one. @EvernoteAlex, it would be most helpful if you guys could continue the long tradition of your predecessors of posting announcement of updates, along with release notes. Also, the "Release Notes" menu item seems to be missing from Ver 6.7.1. I was going to post the Release Notes, but can't find them. Screenshot:
  5. If you haven’t been following our beta releases, Evernote for Mac 6.2 adds better support for El Capitan by allowing for windows to be shrunk so that one can run split view. This includes shrinking the sidebar into a single column of icons and a new more responsive formatting toolbar. Also in this release, we’ve moved work chat to the bottom of the sidebar for 10.10 and above users and of course fixed a bunch of bugs. What’s new in Beta 3? We’ve made the following fixes. On launch using El Capitan the Evernote window would be hidden for some people. We think we fixed the issue so if you saw this problem in the past, please try Beta 3. Thanks to all the customers who helped us track this down. Fixed a bunch of tag issues like the ellipses don’t jump around and editing tags works better but still haven’t added a scroll bar to the drop down. We heard you loud and clear from the previous forum post and are looking into it.Fixed an issue where one wouldn’t be able to rotate an image when using El Cap. A lot of you mentioned this in the beta 2 forum so give this a try.Fixed one of the top crashing issues in the app. As always, please give us your feedback and issues. You can download the beta from here. Tomorrow morning those of you using Beta 2 should get the upgrade notice.

  7. Hi all, We released Evernote for iOS 7.9.2 this morning, and it should be available to everyone in the App Store shortly. Notable fixes and improvements: Added 3D Touch Peek & Pop on all note lists, including search resultsAdded an audio quick note button to the home screen (replacing the "Work Chat" button)Made it easier to view section details on the home screen: turning on "Show Details" in settings for any section will actually show the details with no hidden minimum thresholds. 8. If all goes well, tomorrow we'll be releasing Evernote for Mac 6.3 Beta 1. Here's a link if you want to download it early. Here's what's in it. Changed key command for deleting a note from ⌫ to ⌘⌫. This matches Apple's Finder key command for deleting files. Our support team has helped a lot of people find notes that they've accidentally deleted so we hope this small change will reduce the heart attacks that this key command has caused. Added a preference to disable auto-formatting of bulleted lists and emojis. We heard loud and clear that you wanted this feature so we've added it as quickly as we could. Fixed a number of bugs: Fixed an issue where font information was lost when copying from Evernote. Improved tag auto-complete menu performance. Fixed an issue where URLs for web-clipped notes wouldn't appear. Reduced El Capitan visual and stability issues. One of the big pushes we're making over the course of the next few months is improving search. We'll be making small changes in the next few releases. In 6.3 we're testing a new interface that will allow you to change the sort order quickly. We'll first default to sorting by relevance so hopefully our search algorithms will find the note you're looking for right away but if not we'll make it a lot easier and obvious how to change the sort order so you can find the note yourself. Also this sort order won't affect the sort order of your normal notes. It will only be for search results. This is an experiment so this won't appear until next week and only some of you will see it. For those of you who do see it, please let us know what you think. As always, thanks for beta testing Evernote and contributing your findings with the entire Evernote community in this forum post. We appreciate your help and for those of you in the US...Happy Thanksgiving.

  19. We seem to be missing a release note or two here, since I just downloaded and installed 5.8.11 - and I know at least one other person has done so. Had to log in again on restart, which hasn't happened before... I duly updated and started to use it, and immediately fell over one problem - I use an external app to rotate and resize pictures, and previously double-clicking on the a picture in a note was enough to open the editor with that picture installed. Doesn't happen any longer. I need to right-click, use Open With, and choose my app from a drop-down list. Once opened and edited, I'm also used to then saving my picture back over the original in the Attachments folder, and having the note update itself with the new, rotated and smaller, edited replacement. Also doesn't happen now - I've changed the same picture twice (just to make sure I didn't miss-click) and the original picture still reigns supreme. I'll do a restart in a little while, just in case, but there could be more to come... If anyone else has any specific 5.8.11 experiences, please log 'em here... Edit: Just answered my own question (kind've) - when the pics are saved to the Attachments folder, they show as Picture(X) - (not Picture(X).JPG) - and my software saves them back as the same, so they're not recognised as actual pictures by Windows when opening them, or by Evernote as needing replacement....
