  1. Hi! I like Evernote generally, but the price increase for Premium users bothered me because i don't use any of the new "features" (Office documents, chat, web clipping, sketching, handwriting, etc.) and some of them i actively dislike (context, awful new iOS interface, etc.). So, basically, i'm paying more for less. I would happily trade all of these useless features for a lower price or maybe increased security.
  2. I use Evernote mainly for Notes, and it's great, it helps me at least on a weekly basis, but mainly because I'm lazy, I could easily use Google or any other cloud service and make notes in files, save them in orderly arranged folders, copy-paste them into emails when I need to share soemething etc. Evernote makes it a little bit easier. (Lazy) I am an employee, so I don´t have a budget for app purchase, so any apps I purchase for my work, I get the pleasure of paying for on my own, and my typical Year I pay something like 50-100 USD via the app store for work related stuff, in total. So, the new Basic-account that only allow me to use 2 units, that is more or less useless, I need 4 minimum, iPhone, iPad, Work PC, Home PC, otherwise the meaning is lost (the meaning being that I can make notes anywhere, and reach reach them from anywhere) The new Plus-account is simply too expensive, considering there are several similar services that are free. Going from free to 40 SEK / Month (About 5 USD/Month), is too much, I'll simply change and feel annoyed. I am aware that it's not allot of money, but it has been free for years, and the products that I compare Evernote with, are free (or very very cheap) So, 5 or 10 USD per year for my laziness , thats my limit to get what I have been getting for free. And no, my employer will not pay for me taking Notes that I don't need to organize myself, they kind of expect me to be able to do that all on my own (Lazy) So, yes, I am a cheap *****, but there it is Thank You for a great product (please sell it to me at a buck a month)
  3. I was copying some notes out of a Shared notebook I belonged to, saw a "getting close to monthly quota message and clicked on. Of course it advised my to upgrade to Premium, which I can't do at the moment, but clicked in it anyone just to see if the price had changed. Sure enough, it is now $59.00USD. Again with the zero notice. Would an announcent on the EN blog have been that hard?
  4. Evernote has increased the cost of the annual subscription to Evernote Premium for $ 50 to $ 220 per year? This is a huge increase!!! When it was announced this increase?
  5. I must repeat, why is Evernote support so terrible? It would seem they are literally running AWAY from customers and their suggestions. It use to be VERY easy to send them a quick email. Now their site makes it very hard to find how to send them an email. Second thing. I've been asking since 2003 for them to add a better audio recording experience on Android. Since recent OS updates, this is more than possible and other apps have proved that. The current implementation is terrible and a few steps behind it's iOS sister. We can't: Multitask while recordingRecord in better quality, only AMR (A codec released in 1999)Play back recordings on iOS device (since it's in AMR) I believe in Evernote. But I feel this company is greedy and their support for products and listening to users is underwhelming. Frankly, they don't even reply on their forums or consider our ideas. They reply with stock answers if you ever get through the maze to find their email. I know a company needs to make a profit, but at least have a student pricing and be open to your users. Evernote. My trust in you is slowly dying. Then again, why am I calling you out when you don't even come here.
  6. There is a great article (here) that compares revenues from company first party apps to apps built by third party developers using the company API - for the Evernote app ecosystem. But I could not find any documentation on the Evernote Developer Portal on the revenue model that Evernote use with 3rd party developers using the company API. How does Evernote gain revenue from 3rd party apps built using the Evernote APIs?
  7. I'd like to pay for 3-5 years instead of just one. Or even a "lifetime" license. Is there a way to do that?
  8. Hi, I just noticed that Evernote Premium has dropped to $19.99 a year. Is this a sale or the new pricing?
  9. Hi there! After being an EN user for 6 years now I use EN more and more during the last weeks. Although I could be satisfied with the free account I'd like to go for premium for 1 year - BUT: Evernote has declared that new prices and/or new price models are coming along at the beginning of 2015. For that I reason I hesitate to switch to premium. What if prices are going down or there may be another model ("Premium private" ) that would even suit my need better. Would I be hung within this year or will there be a way to settle those or to get a partial refund? Any input would be greatly appreciated - thank you very much! Regards, Matthias
  10. Hi all, I'm a new user and have just installed the app on my phone and on desktop at the same time. Turns out the prices to "go premium" are different in these two versions. I've attached the screenshots here: Price on phone via in-app purchase is £3.99/month, £34.99/year. Price on desktop is £2.99/month, £31.99/year. Since the mobile version has "additional mobile security", I guess there is a reason to charge more. Is it always like this, or is there anything wrong with it?
  11. First, sorry if I duplicated existed topic, but I didn't find anything after quick look. I'm a big fan of Evernote since I started using it years ago. And still I cant get why is it restricted that much for free users? I really think that offline notebooks and a PIN-code protection are the essential things. I cant really say about two-step verification... What people actually should pay for in my opinion is bandwidth, when Evernote servers are actually being used. The leak of above features are forcing me to look for alternatives. Besides, PIN is a feature that exists almost everywhere now. I guess I used premium for about year and I dont really think I will pay for things that are essential anymore (I payed only because of them). Thanks.
  12. Now free users have 60M upload limit and premium users have 1GB. For me, 60M is too much but 1GB is too much, around 100M. Have you ever considered providing options for 150M/300M/500M? In this way, what we pay is "fully" utilized. If only 1GB is available, I feel I am wasting those spaces. Personally, I want to use Evernote as filtered knowledge base instead of a data repository(like Dropbox).
  13. We had a sponsored group running as a pilot with the 50% education discount. We were shut off of that February 2 when (apparently) sponsored groups were discontiuned. So far the only referrals I'm getting are for the Evernote for Business option instead and I cannot discover where any ed discount exists. Has the education discount gone away? If not, how do I move my sponsored group into the new solution. If not, $120/student or teacher/year is a pretty high bar ($60 was already pretty high in my view).
  14. Hey guys, just have a quick question on Evernote Premium. If I were to just buy a one month of premium, would I get a GB for only that month or would I still be able to use that 1 GB forever. 60 mb is a little low on what I need per month, but 1 GB would be MORE than enough for what I will ever need to use. So I guess I'm just curious as to whether or not I can pay the one time 4.99 charge and get to use that one GB for as long as I want or until it runs out. It can go back to giving me 60 MB after that. Just as long as I get to keep that GB that I paid for. Not a new GB ever single month Sorry if this is somewhat confusing. I hope you understand what I mean. Thanks
