  1. I have been a premium member for few years now and I love the flexibility EN offers for my needs. I tried the EN presentation mode on Mac and I am not happy with the results. Spacing is erratic, can not change default presentation font. Sanskrit for systems picks is awful. I wanted to see if anyone seen Evernote theme Keynote or powerpoint presentation. I need background, colors to look like Evernote. I am asking first because if its available I don't need to waste my time on it. When creating online videos lessons it would help me to toggle between my EN - notes and the presentation and still maintain the consistency. Thanks for your help.
  2. Dear, It would be an excellent functionality if you could import PDFs and powerpoints as imiges and scannable. In general, instead of dragging in PDFs, and powerpoint presentation as an attachment, you get, a bit like Windows onenote the possibility to import the printout. You actually get a real choice. I'm really sure that this would help a lot of people. Now you have to print the page as jpg and import it one by one (to keep the normal sequence). Not handy, this day and age if you have powerpoints of more then 100 slides... Kind regards
  3. Hi, I would like to attach ppt files into my evernote but whenever i add a file, it shows all of the slides in the document in my notebook. I dont want the preview view (it takes up a lot of space), i would just like to have the file attachment. How do i remove the preview? see screenshot attached for reference.
  4. How do I take a word, excel or powerpoint file (in Mac) and save it to one of my notebooks? When I'm in the notebook I don't see a way to browse files to save to it. Thanks.
  5. What I am trying to do is scroll through slides following along with my lecture and attach the audio either from a dedicated bluetooth mic or a cell phone with a compatible mic app that I can place at the front of the class. 1. Is it possible to use Evernote to attach audio to specific slides automatically as I scroll through them, or does each slide need to be imported individually? 2. What microphone is best to use at the front of the class, a cell phone or dedicated bluetooth? 3. Can I also use a livescribe sky or echo to simultaneously attach additional written notes and diagrams to the slides? I am asking these questions because I am trying to choose between evernote and a livescribe or sonocent auto notetaker. As far as I can see the sonocent system would be perfect for attaching audio to slides. So far I can not see if evernote can do this. However I like the integration with livescribe Sky that is available with evernote, but there is the limitation of using the pens mic or the headset and I do not know if it will pickup good audio from the lecturer at the front of the class. Any advice or insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Hi, I am big into taking digital notes. I have traditionally used Microsoft Onenote along with Dropbox to annotate and sync all my school notes. I am wanting to make the move to Evernote for Windows due to frustration over various technical bugs, but I am finding that it lacks what I need it to do. I am in a professional post-grad program and currently I download all the the different class notes and import them to Onenote. These notes are either Word, powerpoint, or PDF format. Onenote automatically converts the file into a pdf format and places the whole file in view on the note (not a link). From that point I am able to draw over them to annotate, highlight sections, or add text. I would like to be able to do this with Evernote/Skitch. Is there a way to easily be able to import different files, have their contents display in evernote (without converting to a picture format), then be able to annotate over / on them and save back to evernote??? I would also like to be able to add audio notes that correlate to different sections of my notes. For example a professor might be going into a lot of detail over a powerpoint slide and I would just like to have audio that links to that slide. Please help
  7. New kid on the block - MS "Sway" - I assume in terms of moving people in a preferred direction. Something like Powerpoint without slides. Nice concept site and Beta invites. Not an Evernote replacement, but might be a nice way to organise output into a professional package... Microsoft Sway
  8. Hello all, Does anyone know if there is a resource type for Microsoft PowerPoint files (PPT)? Something equivalent to the one for Excel files and a few others?: Also, is there a way around the Evernote limitation on wildcards? Currently the wildcard character aka the asterisk (*) only works as a match-all operator for the characters that precede it, for example "abc*", making search filters such as *.DOC for file-names impossible. Is there a work-around for this? Thanks, Robert
  9. It is astounding to me that in order to copy text from Evernote to Powerpoint and maintain the formatting I first have to copy and paste into word, and only then can I copy and paste into powerpoint. Given the new emphasis on Evernote Business, one hopes this failing will quickly be overcome. Anyone have an update on this?
  10. I am wishing and hoping and pleading - skitch and powerpoint would be the perfect combo for class notes (for the majority of my classes, where teachers give out powerpoints ahead of time). Is there something else for ipad that'll let me type and draw on a powerpoint? and hopefully sync it to evernote or some other kind of cloud storage? thanks!
  11. I'm strongly considering getting Evernote Premium or Business for my team but I'm really hesitant based on what I've seen of the PowerPoint support. Don't get me wrong, it's great that you can search through Office files like PPT presentations, but in all the video and screenshots I've seen, it looks like these types of files still only function as attachments in Evernote. I need to be able to search and share a huge database of PPT slides (saved as individual files) and choose which ones to compile into presentations, and I've gotta do this task on a weekly basis. I can use the actual PPT application to compile them, no problem, but I need to be able to at lease preview these files from INSIDE Evernote, so I don't have to individually open each one to remember what it says. Please tell me this is currently possible in Evernote Premium or Business? That I can see the slides from inside Evernote and not have to open each file individually? If not, are there any plans to expand this functionality soon?
  12. I'm having trouble figuring out how to clip an image or diagram from a powerpoint slide or PDF. I don't see any option to web clip in the powerpoint and the only option I can seem to find for PDFs ends up sending the entire PDF to evernote instead of just one image or diagram I wanted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  13. Just read this article and thought some of you EN Mac users might be interested: Send Keynote presenter notes to Evernote with AppleScript I haven't installed or tested it, so proceed with due dilligence and caution. While this script is specifically for Apple Keynote, it might be used to create your own script that works with other software/file formats like Microsoft PowerPoint.
  14. I am new to Evernote and I was wondering how it worked with PowerPoint. I was wondering if there is anyway that I can share the PowerPoint with my students through Evernote? I would like to be able to display the PowerPoint through the projector and have the students be able to see it through there iPad or iPhone. Thank you.
