  1. Starting today, even though there hasn't been any Evernote update that I'm aware of since the first week of January, when I open the application (MacOS-HighSierra), I am greeted with a partially rendered "upgrade" window that I cannot exit out of. The window is modal so I cannot access anything in the application...you can see the window in the attachment. If I click on the "lightening bolt" icon in the green bar, it takes me to the "upgrade version selection" page, which we are all too familiar with, but no matter what I click, I can exit out of this window either. It seems like the only option is for me to upgrade my Evernote version, which I do not want to do. Also, since both windows are missing text, I cannot actually tell what input is required. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas...this makes the desktop version of the app totally useless -Chris
  2. PLEASE add the option to prevent the redundant popup window that appears after we have clipped an email. I posted a jpg showing the three steps that must currently be taken to clip an email - it should be shorter/easier and more customizable. For me, the purpose of the email clipper is to clip/save an email into a certain folder for quick and easy action/follow up/review at a later date. At present, there are three steps (which isn't exactly quick or streamlined): Clip the "save to Evernote" button in the top toolbar (I'm using Outlook 2016/Office 365 on Windows 7 Pro for reference). - See Image/Step #1 in gif. Select/approve the notebook to save the clip to, with the option to add tags or remarks. - See image/Step #2 in gif. (THIS IS WHERE THE PROCESS SHOULD END.) Then we get a third/unwanted step when yet another window pops up. To close it, we have to pause our process/flow to close the window. Sounds nit picky, and it is, but I want the option to disable or skip this step altogether. - See image/Step #3 in gif. Please see the attached gif if my request is not clear. Fellow users - PLEASE take a second to VOTE on this. The more votes it gets, the more likely they are to add this feature. Thanks!
  3. When using Evernote in my browser it always shows a link popup on hover. In 99% of the cases I didn't want this and it got into my way editing the text around the link. I suggest to instead show a small pencil icon instead that can be clicked. When clicked, it shows the 'Edit link' menu as per current behaviour.
  4. Is there any way to make the selection of a Note Link pop up a new window? I build long Notes that contain many hot links to other Notes. The problem is that this takes you into the new Note, and then you have lost your context in the Note you were previously in. I don't see a "Back" button to restore the previous context. I end up having to locate the Notebook, locate the Note, and then manually move the cursor down to where I started. This reduces the value of having those Note links a lot.
  5. I love Evernote, I use it for taking notes in my college classes and clipping study material. I used to use it on my work laptop, my home desktop, and my phone, but the recent limit to only 2 devices means no more phone. No biggy. I would be happy to pay for Evernote to allow that extra access, but there simply isn't enough features to justify paying. If there were more note formatting options, such as the ability to have text or paragraph styles, or more advanced bulleting or numbering, or graphs/charts, than maybe i'd pay. Anyway I digress. onto the feature request: As I mentioned I use Evernote to take notes for school. Usually when I pop it open I'm wanting to get right to work. The popup saying there's an update available is very obnoxious. It seems like any time I open Evernote I'm having to update it. This disrupts my train of thought, and stops me from being able to get right into a note. I understand it does not prevent you from simply saying "later" and proceeding, but having a popup interrupt you from opening the program is very annoying. It would be much less annoying to have an icon light up in all of the Evernote windows, possibly even pulse, signifying there's an update, or at least an option to disable the popups and notify there's an update with a system notification. I hope you guys add more functionality in the future like heading classes and such, I'd love to pay for an account, but as it stands there's no real benefit to paying.
  6. I have Evernote Plus and EVERY time I search for a note on my phone, the search opens with a large NAG screen wanting me to upgrade to Premium (and featues I have no use for),. I understand an occasional attempt to upsell, but EVERY time is extemely annoying considering I have paid for the product I am using. Can this be turned off? Why does Evernote think ticking off its paying customers is good business? Bill
  7. The last few days I have been on the road doing presentations in Keynote, while in those presentations after 5-10 min it will boot me out and bring up evernote. I thought it was just keynote but this happened with outlook and iTunes. As i write this post it did it with safari as well, it basically brings the window to the front. This is getting extremely annoying and I cannot find find a solution. any thoughts?
