Okay, this may be a long-windy story, but I'll try to describe the timeline as clearly as possible. I got a new MacBook and decided to install Evernote. Now I already have an Evernote account for use on my iMac for roughly 5 years. After installing Evernote on my MacBook, I realized that two-step verification was not enabled as I previously thought. [Extraneous: So I tried logging onto Evernote via website through Google Chrome on my MacBook (macSierra), but could never get past clicking onto the Security Summary page because of my number of cookie/script-blocking browser extension. Regardless, I had other problems when I moved ahead. See following...] So I went over to my iMac and logged onto the Evernote website (same OS and web browser version), and now was able to go onto the Security Summary page. After a number of tries with inputting my phone number in for verification text (my phone was delayed and wasn't receiving Evernote verification texts right away... then multiple Evernote texts pop up kind of thing)... Then after getting through that fiasco, I had a problem with my Android phone "screen overlay" in trying to use Google Authenticator and capture the QR code with my phone camera. When Google Authenticator finally captured my QR code and initiated an Evernote account, I log out... and log back in... Evernote did not ask for two-step verification. So I go back to Security Summary... after I verified my email, I get an "internal error" when I type in my phone number for another text verification. .... I don't know what to do. Few years back, I also had problems trying to "turn off" two-step verification and had to contact Evernote Tech Support to get things right. SCRBBL

I couldn't get into Evernote - forgot my password. I tried having the verification code sent to the phone numbers I provided - they never came through. I tried submitting a ticket through their website - it wouldn't "send" it. The live "chat" button is always grayed out. Did find a phone number that seemed to connect me to their California office, but was only able to leave a voice mail. I finally, after two days, found the Back-up codes that I'd printed out - which did get me back in. Going to have to think about re-upping my subscription.
