I've been reading this Forum and the gist of what I see is that some users have upgraded via the App Store, and the result had been a complete face-plant. They are being advised to go through a complicated uninstall and then to upgrade only from the EN site. How does this happen? I know nothing about the industry. Is this something EN should have prevented? Or is it something that App Store should have prevented? Or is it joint negligence? Whose job is it now to warn those users who have not been fortunate enough to have happened upon the postings in this Forum, but who might upgrade via the App Store? I suspect that many, many users do not read this Forum; because, if they did, few users would be upgrading until the the wheels have been put back on. Is EN publishing an advisory?

Just read an article from the online Wall Street Journal. Here's an excerpt that I found interesting: WSJ: How do you entice people to pay for Evernote? Mr. Libin: We have a free version which is meant to be really great and full-featured, and the more people use it, the more they fall in love and want to pay for a professional version. I must say, Phil is being consistent with Evernote's vision here - love it or hate it. Good to know that I've got my hands on a professional version

In the conference, Libin mentioned in passing the four things that supposed to replaced the old archaic systems we use today. It was writing, organizing, (I think), finding, and presenting? Anyone recalls? In the video this part starts with "everybody writes," and then he continues. I'm sitting at a Starbucks with a crappy WiFi and I can't view the video. Can anyone tell me quick? I want to write a post about it. The man has a vision, but he doesn't know how to communicate some of his ideas. Part of it is because people need more breadcrumbs to get to the points he's trying to make, and at other times he just seem to swallow his words and feel nervous about his unsuccessful jokes. I'm not mocking the man, talking in front of an audience is hard! And he strikes me as an introvert. Anyway, if anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, please help out!

I recall the blog post by Phil back in Jan where it stated that the stability issue and the overall quality was going to be improved. He also said it would focus on simplicity. How much has changed since then? Personally, I dont see much of a diff...
