    Blank pages

I have a fairly large document which has worked fine until now. Suddenly I can open it and as I scroll through it the pages go blank and the document locks. I then struggle to get out and log back in. Other documents seem ok and I can see it on my Samsung phone. I have done the usual reboots etc to no avail.
  2. 'Tabs or Pages' Feature Within a Note I'd like to be able to split a note up into 'tabs', with a similar UI as the 'sheets' tab at the bottom of excel
  3. Hi there, I'am filling out a document, for several questions. I logg inn then filling out answers on the pages. No I'am finished and want to put inn Evernote. The webpage cannot be saved. I have tried to use Evernote Clipper to take an picture of it. Any ideas how i can clip it out when it contains several pages, with the text I have filled in? M

    Notes as Numbered Pages

Is it possible for a note to have pages instead of it being one long Note? This would help to take better notes and to be able to organize them better. Where you can have a note with 5 pages. I use Evernote for Seminars and it would help to be able to organize my notes better. With IPad Pro, you could flip pages with a pen or your finger Thank you. Eduardo Joffroy
  5. I know a fair bit of people use Google Drive and Google Docs. A lot of my clients who are prospective Evernote users are loving that. What I have gotten asked about a few times now is iCloud Drive integration and full support of .pages, .keynote, and .numbers file formats that Apple's iWork productivity suite uses. I have a few clients that are solitary and swear by those apps. I assume more have to be out there. I know I use Pages on occasion to make flyers and such. So what I am suggesting is support for those Apple iWork file formats in full, like Microsoft Office and Google Docs. If the iWork app is installed on a device then the file opens appropriately (like MS Office formats), but, otherwise, it would open via the web on icloud.com (like Google Docs do). I can not imagine people outside of macOS and iOS using it. But, just in the case that they did is why I suggest the latter. Thank you for your time.
  6. Hey guys, Apologies for adding ANOTHER buggy formatting complaint to the pile - I am aware these problems are tricky and well-discussed already, but can't find a solution to my now longstanding annoyances with copying and pasting text to and from Evernote. Specifically, I am finding frequently that pasting text from .pdf documents into Evernote (which I always do with shift+cmd+v to adjust to EverNote format) will sometimes look fine in the OSX editor, but then when I paste it into another editor (in my cases usually Pages), there will be weird formatting issues -- most commonly line breaks between words, which are impossible to delete. So I'll paste a paragraph into EverNote, copy that paragraph later and paste into Pages, and there will be big gaps between words that defy all logic! I've also realised that the spaces that appear correspond to the line breaks on the original .pdf (see attached files) Pasting the text into TextEdit and converting to Plain Text does not resolve the issue, the gaps are still there even on TextEdit. Forgive me if this is a frequently-cited issue, I couldn't find a similar forum post. Also forgive me if this is a basic error, I'm no expert in the terminology and code of text formatting. Thanks! Callum I've included files of the copy and pasted paragraph in its original pdf, on Evernote and on TextEdit, to show how the formatting changes
  7. Hi all, first of all "HI" I am the new guy 2nd About myself: I am an Evernote user for approx. 1 year and have recently moved to business for my startup. As hard as I try loving EN , being a long-lived IT-Specialist (and yes I do in an ambiguous way) I cannot work with it without constantly having small nitty annoying issues. This said my recent issue is: I am using EN for mac on Mac with Yosemite. Attaching PAGES and NUMBERS documents to EN Notes works which is why I want them there and not in the terrible icloud. However one half of the iworks attachements i upload are displayed by EN preview the others are shown as zipped thus cannot be worked on. Does anyone know when they display and when they don´t and how to stabilize this behavior reliably? Further more: I seem to be unable to remove an attachment of a .pages or .numbers document once it is in the note. What am I doing wrong? Is it really impossible? Also just noted that dragging and dropping from an icloud-drive folder to EN is impossible. Why? Thanks for help all of you AndiB
  8. Uploading PDF documents automatically displays them in in-line mode where the content of the document is visible automatically. Is it possible to do the same with other documents, especially Apple Pages, Numbers, and Keynote without the need to click the 'Quick Preview' icon? Thank you for any tips!
  9. Hello all, I just got around to upgrading to Yosemite, and this has fixed one problem where .pages documents were showing up as .zip files in Evernote. However, while they are now showing properly inline, there is a new issue - they are blurry (as if it is a much smaller image that is expanded). Quick view looks good, so I'm not sure what to think. Here's a picture of what I mean: https://www.dropbox.com/s/b6lq4jk7p2gzhqw/Screenshot%202014-11-26%2021.06.58.png?dl=0 I've seen one or two mentions of this in other threads, though I didn't see any threads devoted to it. It's a fresh install of EN 6.0.2 (from the web) for what that's worth. Thanks!
  10. I'm an Evernote Premium user since years and it's probably my favorite app ! Thanks to the Evernote Team for the job and the help to organise my projects ! But after years I see I'm Everlost in Evernote. And yesterday I discover Onenote for mac. Today I dream to see 3 Onenote features in Evernote: - Tabs - Pages and Subpages - Type anywhere: like request in the mac category of this forum here 3 keys to stop being ever lost in my notes Maybe I'm not the only one ?
  11. I just used my ScanSnap EE to scan in a 49 page document. One page is crooked and needs to be straightened. I can think of several ways to do this, but wondered what might be the easiest and quickest way to accomplish this task. Perhaps someone else has encountered this problem and has a slick solution. My best solution is to load the PDF file into Graphic Converter 9 and then straighten the page in that app. Right now, however, I'm on a PC and not my Mac, and I don't have a program on this machine that will do just a simple straighten rather than a 90 degree or more rotation. Thanks for any help you can give. -- Carl
  12. Does anyone know if the problem with new pages has been sorted out? I write a doc/ letter using the new pages on my iMac. I open the Evernote app on the iMac ( running mavericks ) Drag the pages file into my Evernote account. The file is shown. However....... When I open the same file on my ipad or iphone it only opens as a zip file which just keeps loading. I can't see the file. All software is up to date. Please help me!
  13. Evernote lets you open attachments in another application, edit them, save them, and automatically re-imports/updates the edited attachment. Alas, with Apple Pages, this only seems to work one time out of four. Has anyone else noticed this problem/can someone reproduce? Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a note 2. Attach a Pages document to the note. Make it display inline. 3. Open the attached document in Pages by double-clicking the icon. 4. Change a letter in the Pages document, save it. 5. Observe whether the inline view of the Pages document updates in Evernote. If yes, repeat from step 1. On my setup, it worked (updated the document) the first time I tested it, but then no more. Interestingly, double-clicking the attachment icon does open the modified version of the document (Evernote's edit export, I guess). But syncing and verifying with Evernote Web shows that the document has not been updated in Evernote. I'm on a 2007 Macbook Pro with Mavericks. Edit: When deleting the file which is being opened in Pages from the temporary evernote exports folder, it works again (but only once). Looking forward to hearing if others can reproduce the problem. Edit 2: I'm using Pages 4.3 (iWork 09), not the dreaded "new" version, which uses a different file format.
  14. Hi, I use the "page camera" function on the EN Android app to scan all my lecture notes, hw, hand outs, graded quized, etc. The app puts the first page that i scan at the bottom of the EN Note. This is pretty annoying specially when I try to use EN to study my lecture notes. And I cant find a way to disable this function. I started taking pictures in reverse but there should be a way to disable this. Is there?
  15. So I have been taking lecture notes with Evernote and have been finding it pretty useful (although there is no quick way to add images using the iPad!). For one of my topics, a lot of the information we are presented will be much more useful as Pages documents (that's the Mac version of Word), where I can wrap text around lots of figures and have it read more like a page from a textbook, but just for my reference. What I was thinking was take all the notes in Evernote, images included, and then later write it all in Pages, and add the Pages documents to a new stack. My concern is just that Evernote will not be able to scan the text in the Pages document or the images in it, or even be able to display the documents. I could save them all as PDFs, but then I would need a system to save all the Pages documents to my Mac and if I ever needed to edit the document, I would have to first delete the PDF (and any highlighting or notes I have made on it), edit the original Pages document on my Mac, then save it as PDF, then upload it and manually reenter the original date I uploaded it as well as the tags. This is annoying because in a way I may as well not use Evernote at all. Evernote would be fine by itself, except adding a figure (an image) to a note just plonks it across the whole page, so a note that has 30+ figures in it would become very hard to read. What I would like to be able to do is have thumbnails of most of the images that expand when I click on it. Or a way to view and edit Pages (or even Word if it's the only option) documents in Evernote itself, while on the Mac. I'm a premium member btw, if it helps to answer this question with regards to features that are locked out of free users. Thanks for your time reading this. I've been looking for the best way to take typed notes (for written notes of equations, I still need to scan them and add then to Evernote), and I think I'm ready to settle for Evernote, but I just don't understand how Evernote works with adding documents that let you wrap text around figures (like in Word/Pages)!
  16. Our students all have iPads with iWorks on them. We are using the notebooks feature in Evernote to organize by subject. When a student sends a file from Pages, Numbers or Keynote, we cannot move the file into the notebook. Is there a way to do that?
  17. I love the fact that you can shoot multiple pages. Although some pages are distorted in a bit of a strange way, it is pretty convenient. I need a way to actually see the sharpness of the images after I shoot them and before I confirm that they're good (with an ability to zoom in). I know you can enter the viewing mode and see all of your pages- but that view is totally pixelated and there is not way to determine if the image is readable. I would also like to have a convenient way of reordering these pages (currently only available on desktop in a really old fashioned way) and reshooting them (as opposed to deleting and shooting a new page) if they I didn't get the shot right.
  18. I feel like this is a newb question, but I did some Google work and searched this forum with no clear result. I'm comparing a few apps like Evernote, Together, etc., and I like Evernote's layout the best. I also love the search/highlight aspect and the ability to view PDF text from within the program. Together, however, also views Pages documents from within the program, something that Evernote cannot seem to do (it merely attaches them; I could use quick look, but that's not the same). Am I missing a setting or plug-in or something? I don't need to edit it, merely view it (and hopefully search with-in) like Together does. Or is that just not possible yet with Evernote? Thanks! - Alex
  19. [Off-topic: For 10 years, we used Windows and synced files to HP iPaqs - remember those? Heck, they still make iPaqs, I think.] Anyway, we're a "Mac household" now. Each of us has an Evernote account. Also, each of us has a Gmail account and an Appleid for iTunes/iCloud. We've tried'em all. For our word processing needs, Evernote wins, hands down. Google Docs on an iPad? Forget it: don't hold yer breath. Using iCloud? Whatta groaner or yawner, depending on how you (we, anyway) look at it; and possibly file-destructive, too, if you ever sign out on your laptop. BTDT. iTunes? Watch what you sync, but keep up with your syncs. Problematic. Evernote? Straightforward, surprisingly powerful, *fast*, and spot on for what we need. Evernote knew cloud before "cloud" became a cute word.
