  1. Would really like to have the same functionality for working with tables in the web version as there is one the Windows Desktop app. I work off Chromebooks and use the web version exclusively, which does not have the same level of functionality for tables. Thanks!
  2. Would be awesome if we could add rows and columns to tables. I switched over to a Chromebook so, I'm using Evernote mobile and Evernote web. Both have the same issue. A few have suggested using google spreadsheet, or copying and pasting multiple tables, or adding a few extra rows. Some of these work, but have it's limitations. For example, if you run out of extra rows. Or if you have a chromebook, you can't use any of the workarounds without a computer without the use of google spreadsheets. Screenshot example attached.
  3. The last few days I have been unable to access Evernote online on my desktop. I can use it on my iPhone without problems, but on the desktop after I enter my login details it stays loading the login screen without getting any further (https://www.evernote.com/Home.action?login=true). Okay, as I was typing this, it actually signed me in in another tab (but didn't other days after leaving it this long) However, it is only showing the contents of one note, and doesn't have my list of other notes, so I still can't use it for what I'm needing. Evernote in my iPhone app still has all the data.
  4. Hi all, I use evernote online in a google chrome browser. How can i add arrows and other signs? I use clipper, but in the pictures I want to highlight things... Thanks!
  5. Its very weird that i cannot use backspace to delete my word after typing. Enter key doesnt work as well. This problem exist in all platform of evernote. This bug is really unbearable and i am considering moving my note and start using onenote instead of considering to promote to premium user soon!!
  6. Golden Globe Award 2016 Online Free Surprises and Snubs, The Golden Globe 2016 Live Stream nominations were, as per usual, a mixed bag. For every inspired nod (congrats, Rachel Bloom!) there was one that had be scratching the skin off my scalp (no The Leftovers?!). So without further adieu, I give you the good, the bad and the downright ugly from this year’s list. The 2016 Golden Globe nominations were, as per usual, a mixed bag. For every inspired nod (congrats, Rachel Bloom!) there was one that had be scratching the skin off my scalp (no The Leftovers?!). The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has set Jan. 10, 2016, for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards. The ceremony will air on NBC from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m (PT) and 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. (ET) from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., and will be produced by Dick Clark Productions. All that's needed are new hosts, since Tina Fey and Amy Poehler announced that 2015 would be their last time in the role. Already, there has been a groundswell of support for Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, who wowed in a brief appearance at the 2015 awards. NBC's Golden Globe Awards took a ratings dip in 2015, down 8% from the previous year, averaging 19.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen figures.
  7. I just found this AlterNote Editor Chrome Extension, and it's a better WYSIWYG than the Evernote Web Editor at this time. And it's free. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/alternote-editor/hljkfahiahjhhpmpihngnommookkneji No idea if it's related to Alternote for Mac: http://alternoteapp.com/ Features I like: - does NOT need to be granted access to your Evernote account - as far as I can tell, all processing is done in your browser, without a third party server involved - fairly powerful text editing capabilities (WordPad like) - resize images (and even rotate) - can paste images from clipboard (but they will be lost if you edit the note in Evernote, so I insert images with the paperclip) - inserts file/image at the cursor (not at the end of the note) - view and change source code - handles tables decently well - highlight text - check-boxes and special characters - footnotes - keyboard shortcuts (no more clicking around to insert an attachment) - can change default font and font size - remove all text formatting - add-last-line keyboard shortcut (really useful in long notes) Problems: - you have to be a bit careful, as it's easy to create unwanted new notes or duplicates, especially if you use autosave (I just create new notes in Evernote Web and then edit them with AlterNote; I also have Clicking on AlterNote's toolbar icon when not on Evernote's webpage set to Open Search Page) - it doesn't save searches - you will lose images if you paste them from clipboard (more Evernote's fault, as it just removes them if you edit the note) - there seems to be just one guy developing it. Is it secure? Will development continue? Attached is a quick test, along with the result in Evernote Web:
  8. Hi, is there a way to display a local copy of the last synced notebook when there is no connectivity? I have some large attachments that I like to keep a local copy on my ipad rather has to download it everytime. Thanks
  9. Hi, I'm curious about how to reliably generate a web link for a note. All I can find on this topic are forum entries about note-to-note links in the Evernote app. I learned a long time ago, that each of your EN notes can have a unique URL generated for it that you can access on the web. I think I encountered this just using the web interface, and saving URLs. Also, if you have EN search enabled for during web browsing, you've seen your own notes appear as google search results. If you have clicked on one of your own notes, you will see your note as web page, and also see its unique and saveable URL address. ----------------- My Question : Is there a way to just generate the URL right there in the EN app ? ----------------- I spend a decent amount of time just crafting a single EN, and would like to be able to then dump that URL into a folder on my desktop, so that I can just bring up the entire note on the web. I don't want the megs of the EN in the folder. Just the 1k URL link. It's more than a little inconvenient to have to craft a note in the EN app, and then, to capture its URL have to either open a web interface and log into EN on the web, or try to do a google search with terms unique enough to isolate just the note I am looking for. Thanks for reading. / Please advise.
  10. Notes are all in the newly revamped desktop 5 edtition - just lovely! Problem. Not a single note is showing up in online database. Even after re-syncing.
  11. So, I did a bit of searching and I couldn't really find an answer to this question, so I thought I'd ask here. Is there a way to choose what notebooks synch down from the web client and what doesn't? There are several things that I use Evernote to backup/ record that I'd simply like to have in the cloud rather than taking up space on the HD/ android device. Is it possible to "un-synch" certain notebooks and if so can different notebooks be un-synched across different devices? Thanks in advance for any help.
  12. As size is growing with my premium subscription, I want to have a possiblity to add notes to a only web based notebook. e.g. Notebook x with settings "only sync up to 1 to 10d ago". of course, when searching you have to do this with online version if you want to reach these notes or with advanced search in desktop
  13. I am admittedly brand new to Evernote, but I don't see what I could be doing wrong. My Evernote account online and my Evernote App on my Mac simply don't match. I have 8 notebooks and, I dunno, 30 notes on my computer, but on my online account there is 1 notebook and 3 articles/notes (that I clipped from online) and there has been NO crossover between them. I have synced 100 times. I click the circle arrow, it spins for a moment then...no change. I have checked my settings for preferences that could be affecting this. Nothing. But I'm also not seeing anyone else with this problem (well, not since 2011 when there was a known bug). What am I missing? I also just downloadd the iPhine App but don't want to get started until I know what is going on. Thanks! MvU P.S. Using Evernote 5.0.6
  14. [Off-topic: For 10 years, we used Windows and synced files to HP iPaqs - remember those? Heck, they still make iPaqs, I think.] Anyway, we're a "Mac household" now. Each of us has an Evernote account. Also, each of us has a Gmail account and an Appleid for iTunes/iCloud. We've tried'em all. For our word processing needs, Evernote wins, hands down. Google Docs on an iPad? Forget it: don't hold yer breath. Using iCloud? Whatta groaner or yawner, depending on how you (we, anyway) look at it; and possibly file-destructive, too, if you ever sign out on your laptop. BTDT. iTunes? Watch what you sync, but keep up with your syncs. Problematic. Evernote? Straightforward, surprisingly powerful, *fast*, and spot on for what we need. Evernote knew cloud before "cloud" became a cute word.
