I want to export all my Omnifocus tasks / projects to Evernote. Is there a workaround to make this happen?
Hello. I am in a Windows environment at work, using OS X at home and iOS8 in between. EN on all platforms and OmniFocus on the Apple devices. Outlook at work is set up with a VBS that forwards any emails of my choice to Omnifocus. What I am missing, is a way to send stuff from my EN on Windows to Omnifocus. To do this, I downloaded the attached script from asianefficiency.com. This script is supposed to add notes tagged with "review"in EN, to OmniFocus and include a link directly to the note in the local EN app. By leaving the Mac at home on, with EN, Lingon 3 and Omnifocus running, all EN notes I tag with "review" in Windows at work should be synced back to EN on Mac at home and then be read by the Applescript and added to Omnifocus on the Mac. This is again synced to my iOS8 device, which I intend to use as my task manager at work. Now, it seems to more or less do this, but something strange is going on with the "review" tag in EN; it seems to be copied in increments ("review 1", "review 2", "review 3" etc..) and sometimes removed entirely and then changing tags on notes from "review" to one of these copied ones. The script will only touch notes tagged with "review", so for many notes it does not do anything. Also it deletes the tag entirely from EN. I want the tag to remain in the taglist and have tried with unassign instead of delete in the script, but that just leaves the tags on the notes, so Omnifocus keeps getting copies of the same notes over and over.. Im suspecting my issues may have something to do with multiple devices syncing EN together, creating conflicts, but I don´t know much about this stuff. Anybody who understands what is going on here and is able to help me? Evernote2Omnifocus.rtf
I have been using OmniFocus and Organize from taskfabric for my gtd software. I was mostly happy with those apps from a standalone perspective. They look good and have functionality to help me focus on what must be done each day. However, my company uses lotus notes and like most guys, I get over 100 mails a day and try to lead a large team, manage a huge cost center and actually do work. The lack of ability to make my mail into a relevant action, was a consideration for change and since 2 days I started using ever ore for GTD. so far I am missing only a couple things that are really hurting and need your advice on how you all manage: 1. Due date: how do you know when something is due for tasks you have or those you delegate? 2. Task completed: how do you have the weekly 1:1 with your boss and update him/her on actions completed and actions due next week?
Hi all. I've been using EV in conjunction with Omnifocus (OF) for a few months now, it's turning out to be a great place to keep all the data I need around my Getting Things Done process without getting in the way. For example I have a recurring task in OF called "Weekly Trigger List" that pings every Tuesday morning at 7am when I'm on the train. The task has a link to the EV note containing a list of mental triggers. The system works really well as even if I'm away from my mac and the reminder triggers on my iphone, I can still click the same link and open EV on my phone. Anyway. I also started to use "Launch Center Pro"(LCP) on my iphone recently. I can use the OF URL schema to create a custom button to do pretty much whatever I like, the possibilities are huge. What I'd really like to be able to do is open LCP, & hit an icons that launches EV, takes me to my business receipts notebook, opens a new note, and fires the camera. This is something I do 3-4 times a day every time I pay for something that is a business expense. Questions: Is there a detailed EV URL Schema? If not, how do we get one? Are their any other solutions you could recommend?
