  1. I'm having problems with Evernote and numbered lists: My problem with lists is shown in the following snipit created on my Microsoft Windows 7 version: 2015-06-29_11-49-51.bmp The list was created using a numbered list and entering Leonard , then moving to a bulleted list for the next line, then going back to a numbered list for James. What I'd really like is for Evernote to return to the previous list and number "James Crocker" as "2" instead of starting a new list. The other odd behaviour is in the following screen capture where, after cutting and copying a line to a new location, it ends up as having two numbered lists associated with it: 2015-06-29_12-11-34.bmp Every HTML editor I've ever worked with can do this correctly; how do I do this in Evernote?
  2. I administer several applications at work and use Evernote mainly to write how-tos and other documentation like installation procedures, reference and troubleshooting articles. I make a huge use of lists and have noticed that tables: help keep information neatly organized (like commands to run, options the user has, etc), like this: prevent multiline text to be pasted as list items, like this: Unfortunately, it looks like Evernote has never supported inserting tables in lists (at least since November 2016, when I became a Plus member). I worked around this limitation by creating a table and then pasting it to the list. This worked until version 7.x. I feel this would be a great feature.
  3. It would be AWESOME if there could be a way to add some kind of Collapse or Expand the bulleted list or numbered list because it will ensure a better usage of the desktop.
  4. Hello, this is my first time in the forums so I'll try to be brief... I have an issue with the numbering format for numbered lists with indented bullets. I had a list of bulleted material with sub bullets that I wanted to change into a numbered list. When I tried to do this however, first some of the tabs and formatting for my existing subullets were removed and realigned with my main bullets. Also, it changed the sub bullets to numbers (which I guess makes sense in theory) when I would have preferred to leave the sub-bullets alone and stay bullets. But my biggest problem of all (that also seems to have no manual work around) is that when you change the list to numbered, if there are any sub-bullets under any of the numbers, the numbers reset to 1 for the next main item on the list after the sub-bullet for the previous number. I cannot figure out how to fix this for the life of me. Plz help.
  5. When I copy and paste into Evernote I sometimes experience formatting problems. I copied a numbered list from an Apple Mail message into an EverNote. The left margin disappears off the note. I couldn't see the numbers and there was nothing I could do with formatting in the EverNote to bring them to the right so I could see them. This seems to happen when copying and pasting from numbered or bulleted lists. I solved today's problem by copying the numbered agenda from Apple Mail into the Text app on my Mac and then copied and pasted it into an EverNote. Just seems a clumsy work-around.
  6. I am experimenting with using Evernote for keep a checklist of to-do items. I think I can do with the numbered checklist. Since a list can be indented to be a sublist, I can create a rudimentary list with a sub-tasks list. What I'd like to do is to copy (or rather move) an item from one list to another, so I can rearrange them by date or whatever. However it seems that on Windows, if I cut a few lines, the formatting is not quite preserved. When I copy it to other list, it doesn't quite insert and number itself nicely. Also from where I cut, instead of removing that numbered line completely and renumber everything after, it leaves an empty numbered line, and I don't know how to remove this without having to do some shuffling of the few lines of content after. Anyway, wondering if anyone else has better experience with this. Thanks!
  7. All clips I make using the FireFox Clipper (Ver 5.1 Beta and previous) to clip a post in the EN Forums that have a numbered list are converted to bullet lists. Below is my current environment, but I have observed this over many different versions of EN Mac and many different versions of FF Clipper. Environment: * EN Mac 3.1.0 Beta 1 (241960) * Mac OS 10.7.3 * MacBook Air 13-inch (2011) * FF Mac 11.0 * Evernote Web Clipper 5.1.0.241767 (beta) PS. Another bug/problem: As shown above under "Environment", when I paste a bullet list from EN Mac to a EN Forum post, the bullets are converted to asterisks (*).
