  1. Is there any way to make the selection of a Note Link pop up a new window? I build long Notes that contain many hot links to other Notes. The problem is that this takes you into the new Note, and then you have lost your context in the Note you were previously in. I don't see a "Back" button to restore the previous context. I end up having to locate the Notebook, locate the Note, and then manually move the cursor down to where I started. This reduces the value of having those Note links a lot.
  2. I use the "Copy Note Link" under my GTD - like system and use the "Copy Link Note" on many notes. It would be helpful to have a keyboard shortcut for the "Copy Note Link" and avoid the right-click then scroll down menu process.
  3. several minutes ago, I found that I can open note(notelink) as a new window by right-click. But it will be better if I can open note(notelink) as a new window by Ctrl+Click, just link doing such on web browser. Thanks.
  4. The new update of evernote 5.2.0.2946 seems to have made changes to the 'copy note link' feature. The new version of this seems to provide a link to the web evernote vs. the local installed version. Is there an alternate now to get the local filesystem based link to open the entry the locally installed version of evernote? There are a number of problems here: 1. The assumption that an internet connection exists to resolve against the EN site. This is simply just a wrong assumption. 2. The desire to interact not with the web service of EN but the locally installed version of EN is now taken way. There is not even a link on the web site that allows opening up the note in the local EN. 3. The web site version presented is the read only version. What?? please bring back the earlier functionality. I'm not sure what the problem that was that needed to be solved, but this new behavior brings an even bigger set of problems. aa
  5. I have some questions about the security issue of a note link. Note link is often used to make an 'Index'. but if I use a note link, one URL is generated and anyone who knows the URL can access the link. 1) if the contents of the note is a confidential one, I think it is dangerous to use this note link. even though only the one who know the URL can access the link, I think the note is already open. What do you think of this issue? 2) Can this note with a note link be googled? I think this is the worst case. At the moment, I don't use note link for the confidential contents.
  6. Hi All, I help run a club, and when I make notes about events I usually link the names of key people who attended to various other notes in the club notebook. Currently, this is fairly time consuming, as I have to find the note, copy the link, go back to the event note, find the insert location, paste (or highlight text and paste) etc. I would much prefer it if I could use the "Add Link" dialog that comes up when you hit Ctrl-K to search for a note title (which would provide an automatic filter of available notes in the same notebook), then arrow down to, or click on, the right note if more than one note matches the filter, then hit enter and the link gets inserted at the current cursor position. Is there any chance this functionality could be added to the desktop versions of Evernote sometime soon? What if I said please? Thanks for giving this some thought! pt
