  1. Evernote for iOS is losing data. I have lost content within notes. It's happening with alarming frequency. (At least six times in the past 2 months). I keep a regular log of medications I take and it's rather important to me. I lost a full day of the log's data when I looked this morning -- everything I had entered for yesterday and the evening prior was gone -- I lost 36 hours worth of data for no justifiable reason. There certainly has no user error here. It was just gone. I didn't delete it by accident. We need to have Note History available to us at all times. I know the data is backed up somewhere. I shouldn't have to pay for Evernote Premium to have a sense of security over my information (Note -- I do pay for the Plus tier -- and I thought I had Note History available but it seems like that feature was stripped away at some point). However now considering that data is being deleted by Evernote on a regular basis -- this history feature should just be FREE to all because otherwise, we have no way of retrieving data that was lost THROUGH NO FAULT OF OUR OWN. I am getting so frustrated with the lack of reliability in Evernote -- and this bug needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY. Until it is fixed, the Note History features should be readily/freely available to all. The current state of affairs in INEXCUSABLE.
  2. Last night I pasted a pdf version of an email (originally a SMS sent from my iPhone) from my Gmail account into one of my Evernote files. It overlayed and obliterated the entire file, which is of inestimable value. I couldn't locate an Undo function (which I discovered doesn't exist). I upgraded (twice) to be able to access Note History and restore my file to a previous day. I was told to click on an "i", but there wasn't one. I filed a complaint ticket with Evernote last night. I haven't heard back. The company has no phone number to call. I need help.
  3. A couple of times now I've witness disturbing behaviour during syncing on my iPad. While taking notes during a class (switching between two languages so data input was tortuous) I saved two or three times over the course of an hour. At the conclusion of the class I synced a final time, then saw 90% of my note disappear! I thought it was maybe taking time to refresh, but no, it was gone, irredeemably so. I checked on my laptop when I got home just in case, but the note was the same as on my iPad (ie. mostly deleted). I'm a premium member so I hoped the "note history" feature would come to my rescue, but that's only updated several times a day. This morning I started the app on my iPad again and noted that it was syncing a note I had open. The thumbnail actually showed more content in this note than the body did, until it finished syncing of course when the thumbnail updated to show that most of the note had been deleted. As well as it works 95% of the time, I'm considering moving back to paper as I can't risk this sort of data loss. Obviously help with preventing this in future is the #1 priority, but in addition to this it'd be really useful if the note history feature followed more along Apple's Time Machine model, eg. every sync over the last hour is saved, every hour for the last day, every day for the last week etc. So: help! Another minor irritant was that I would selectively highlight the second of two words on a line, copy, but then when I pasted both the first and second words were somehow pasted. This happened repeatedly... but then I lost the whole thing anyway, so you know, whatever. :|
  4. Hello! If someone could help me out, I would be very grateful. I use the free web version of Evernote regularly. It's a bit glitchy, but usually in a manageable way, and it's so helpful to me. However, today one of the small glitches led to a somewhat major mistake. I believe I was making a numbered list inside of one of my already existing notes when I made a typo. I attempted to erase the line but it refused to erase. This has happened before. The text will visually appear to be there, and even let me place my cursor inside of it, but it will not let me erase or edit it. This time, as I continued attempting to erase before realizing this glitch had taken place, it wouldn't even let me click inside of most of the note's text. When I refreshed, it asked me if I really wanted to because changes may be not saved, but I was fine with that. Most of the note had already been written before I began this new edit. But when I go back to the note, over half it was gone! To be clear, the entire note wasn't deleted, I know how to retrieve that, but half the note was overwritten as I continued typing before I realized the text was glitching out. None of the information was too critical, but it is important to me. I'd love it if someone knew a way to be able to retrieve this information from previously saved versions of this note. I refreshed so undo wouldn't work. I attempted to save it from my phone (Android, the only other device I regularly use Evernote on) before it synced, but when I turned on the Wifi to email it to myself, it quickly synced and only sent the written over version. My web searches gave nothing. I saw a feature called Note History from the premium version suggested, but if it hasn't been already activated, then I don't how it could retrieve it from a previous change. I would be willing to pay for Premium temporarily just to retrieve this information if it somehow could access changes made before activation. I almost exclusively use the Web version as well, and I'm not certain if that features work on this version. So if anyone could tell me if Note History retrieves changes made before activation on the Web version, or if there's another way I could retrieve this information, it would make me so happy!!

Additions to a note were lost. Can they be retrieved?
  6. Hi from a new user, first time poster. I upgraded to Premium last week, and expected to be able to see Note History for all my existing notes starting from the time I upgraded. However, I seem to only be able to see histories for notes inside new notebooks created after the upgrade. There is no history visible for existing notes, or new notes inside notebooks that existed pre-upgrade. Is that normal, or am I missing something? Is there a way to force the creation of note histories for existing notes/notebooks? If no, what is the recommended strategy for migrating to Premium? Please tell me I don't have to recreate all my notebooks...?! Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi, I have a question: how does EN deal with notes that have encrypted section when doing the History (versioning). If a text was un-encrypted at one point in the history will it be available through accessing the Note History? i.e. if someone with bad intentions comes to my note with an encrypted password can he just go to the Version History and if he's lucky find the unencrypted first verion of that note? thx :DrSnap
