  1. This is my first post here, but I hope it'll be helpful for some people. Earlier today I was writing a bunch of notes on my Nexus 7 (2013) tablet. After a couple of hours I was tabbing between different apps on the tablet, but when I got back to Evernote almost all of my notes were gone. The first sentences I wrote was all that was left. Devastated I searched the forums for help and finally after looking through different threads I found a solution to my problem, which I'll share here. Might not work for all of you,but hopefully someone might be able to get their notes back. First thing I did was trying to sync my files without any luck, so I started my file explorer (in my case ES File Explorer - found in Google Play if you don't have it/another file explorer). 1. In ES File Explorer I opened the folder Android>data>com.evernote>files>unsaved_notes. Here I found 3 different .enml-files. I opened them as text and saw that what I wrote earlier was there, only cluttered with a bunch of html-code (I think it was HTML - don't know for sure). The files were named something similar to temp_XXXXXXXXXXXX.enml 2. I marked all three files and pressed the "Share" button (found under "More" in bottom right corner on my tablet) 3. I Shared all three files to my dropbox and then went to my computer (which runs Windows 7). 4. On my computer I changed the file extensions from .enml to .html (remember to deactivate the "Hide file extensions"-option in folder options to change the file extension - http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/software/3341794/how-show-or-hide-file-extensions/) 5. When the file names where changed to .html I could open my files in my web browser and there it was - all my notes were saved as I last rememberd them. 6. I just copied all text and opened Evernote om my computer and pasted it there - all I had to do was change font. 7. Finally I just synced my files and found them all on my tablet again. So there you have it - there's possibly some other, easier way to restore your notes, but that's how I got my back!
  2. I have noticed a problem, just in the last several days I think. I was out running errands the other day, and opened Evernote on my Nexus 7 tablet, to look up a recipe. However, all I could see was the *name* of the note in that front page. Several other recipe notes would show the recipe inside the little square, underneath the title, yet others would only display the note title. The ones that had the 'miniature' note displayed, would open up fully, when tapped. But the notes that had only the title, would try to open, and then give me a message "Unable to load note". I swear I don't remember this happening before the last few days. So I drove over to a Starbucks, and connected, and then BAM I was able to see my recipe. What would cause this?? That recipe has been in my Evernote since June 2012. ??? (It isn't just that one note either, as I said it's happening with several notes.) This morning, at home, I opened Evernote again, on the tablet. And I looked through the other recipe notes, the ones that were not displaying the small recipe detail under the title on that main page, and I clicked and opened several of them...and then closed them. And closed Evernote. When I reopened it, NOW those recipe notes are displaying the detail below, and I am betting that I can now see those notes offline. This doesn't make any sense to me. Help?
  3. I am trying to use the newly released handwriting option on my Nexus 7(2013 version). I recently updated the application but did not see the handwriting tool. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app about 3 times and still have not been able to use the handwriting option at all. Anyone else having problems with this? Could it be because I don't haze the current version? Any help would be appreciated. (Also I have sent a troubleshooting message to Evernote but I'm not sure about when they will reply)
  4. Is there a way to change the default view of notes to "full screen"? Currently when you open a note, there are huge thumbnail previews of the other notes in the notebook taking up the bottom third of the screen. My thinking is that the note that I want to see is the one that I opened. I could care less that there are other notes in the notebook when I am trying to see the one that I opened. Yes I know that you can click the expand button to view it in full screen, but I think it would be super convenient to be able to select how the notes open by default.
  5. Hello I've installed Evernote 4.1 on an Nexus 7 running 4.1.1 all seemed well but when I do a search, the results appear for a few seconds and then vanish to be replaced with "0 notes" and empty results list or I search for a term say "phone", then 10 results come up and then they vanish a one remains, doing the search again brings up the empty box or the one result? I've reinstalled and tried with and without offline search Any ideas?
  6. Hi, just downloaded Evernote on my new Nexus 7. I need to create notes in Farsi, and jelly Bean has great support for that language. However, I saw the same old Right to Left support problem in Evernote. I searched in the discussions and realized that it is about 3 years since the problem has been reported to the development team. :-( Any solution or workaround?
  7. I use the ipad 2 with Penultimate and Evernote and love it. Just got the Nexus 7 for my son and my father. They both already use Evernote for different reasons and I am hoping that either Penultimate comes over to Android or that anyone can suggest a good alternative on Android and Nexus 7.
