  1. I'm using EN Business in my law practice to help synthesize facts from a case file. I keep case file documents in one notebook, and build case facts in another notebook. The limitation is that it is difficult to toggle back and forth between my documents notebook and my facts notebook. To open a document, I have to go to one notebook; but to create a fact, I have to go to another notebook. Back and forth, back and forth. Sometimes I will use the web interface. But that is limited because the shortcut keys are different or unavailable, there is no highlighting function, sorting functions are limited, etc. One or both of the following features would be a great help: 1) Allow opening multiple instances/windows of Evernote. 2) Allow creating a business note via the shortcut-key Control+Alt+N. Currently, Control+Alt+N will only create a personal note. And Control+N will only create a new note in the current notebook. I need a way to create notes in a different notebook without having to leave the notebook I'm currently working in. Please advise. Thanks, Tim
  2. Frequently, but not always, I can't open a new note. It opens and then closes before I can supply input. This happens both with Windows 7 and 8.1. The browser is Chrome. Anybody know a cure?
  3. Hi there, I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction. I need to find out how to send one email to my Evernote account with several attachments that would automatically show each attachment as a new note. Most likely it's irrelevant but attachments are jpgs or pdfs. I appreciate any help.
  4. Hi everyone, I went through the forum and I think that what I'm looking for is something called "markdown", is that correct? Not sure if it is, so here's my question. I use Evernote for lots of things, as many of you do, I'm sure, and one one my favorite things is to use it to take notes when I'm reading books and I want to take some notes about, let's say Socrates. So I start writing about his life, the way he thinks and, along the way, always comes a new word that I don't know the meaning. So, what I do is (previously created a Notebook for this) go to my Dictionary notebook and create a new note inside it, use that new word as the title, type the meaning bellow and, after that, right click the note, select Copy Note Link, go back to the note about Socrates, select the new word, hold down Cmd+K and paste the link. There, a wiki-like note is created. And I'm quite happy with it, except I think it would be much easier if all the steps in between could be skipped. Right? So, any of you fellow advanced Evernote users know of a quicker way to do this? Is the Evernote team looking at all at making this possible? Would it be awfully difficult to add the "Link to New Note" option from the contextual menu where the "Link/Add ..." already exists? From what I understand, and believe me it's not too much, about the whole "markdown" thing, is that it would take quite a rewrite of Evernote's way of working, but that's for much more advanced features than the one I'm looking for, right? The only thing I would like to see is basically something that is already possible, although it takes several steps. Hope someone can provide a workaround, or that the Evernote team is thinking of implementing such a feature Thank you so much for reading. Best, Rui
  5. Disclaimer: This is my second day using EverNote . Runnning on a 64x Win7 machine. I want to see if EverNote is easy to use... I'm a keyboard junky and want to be able to quickly enter a task I have on my brain. I was VERY happy to hear that from any Windows app (as long as EverNote is running in the background), I can press Ctrl-Alt-N to pop up a new Note. HOWEVER, the cursor is positioned in the "details" section of the note... I would have expected the cursor to be initially positioned in the TITLE field and would have expected to TAB over to TAGS, followed by the Details field. As it is, I cannot find a way to enter the title other than by using the mouse and positioning the cursor in appropriately. Am I missing something? This seems obvious to me... so I've got to believe I'm not the first one and so my conclusion is I'm stupid 'cause I'm just missing something obvious. Help? Thanks -Ed
