Dear Evernote, I absolutely love your product; however, after a recent update my ability to copy paste from word to Evernote has been compromised. When I copy from word and paste into Evernote I lose all the formatting, specifically bullet points and sub bullet points. Can you please help?!
There is a BUG in either the Evernote Export to HTML, or in the HTML Import to MS Word. To test out the process of moving a Note from Evernote to Word, I did the following: Create a simple EN Note by typing. Export this Note to HTML Attempt to Open this HTML file from Word Get Word Error Msg -- cannot open XML file Has anyone else seen this? The BUG seems to be in the Evernote HTML export, because I was able to successfully import into Word a HTML file saved using FireFox of a web page. I got this error msg: Here is the contents of the HTML file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/><meta name="exporter-version" content="Evernote Mac 5.5.1 (402628)"/><meta name="altitude" content="27"/><meta name="author" content="My Name"/><meta name="created" content="2014-04-26 16:22:55 +0000"/><meta name="latitude" content="30.10863745999999"/><meta name="longitude" content="-95.39710333499997"/><meta name="updated" content="2014-04-26 16:23:51 +0000"/><title>TEST Note to Export to HTML to Word</title></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;">This is a simple test Note to test the process of:<div><ul><li>Export from EN as HTML</li><li>Import HTML file into Word</li></ul><div><br/></div></div></body></html>
I have just set up my evernote account on my new ipad air with a premium subscription. I also just purchased a subscription for MS Word (Office 365). My quesiton is: I want to open up word documents from Evernote with MS Word on my ipad, edit the document, and then have it saved and update the original in Evernote so Evernote will sync up the new version. Am I asking too much of both programs? I have options in MS Word on Ipad to save to OneDrive but I like Evernote and have all my stuff there. Any help would be appreciated.
