  1. I just installed Evernote on my Macbook running 10.8.3 (Mountain Lion) When I use the quicklink on the menubar up top (little elephant head that let's you add a quick note) my dock stops working even when I close the quick-add note window. When I say "stops working" I mean I have it on auto-hide so when I bring my mouse to the bottom of my screen nothing happens. When I shut down Evernote the dock starts working again. Dock works fine if I open Evernote normally in Applications, breaks when I click the quick link on the menu bar. Weak. Any ideas? Didn't find any answers through my normal channels, i.e. Google. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi, After upgrading to Lion, the save PDF to evernote option in the Print Dialog box is gone. If this is not a known limitation for Evernote for Lion, is there a way I can restore it? Thanks, Prashant.
  3. So I'm not sure I like the new interface; constantly asks me if screen capture size is okay. But that's an annoyance I can deal with, the fact that the app doesn't do as it states: Share & Copy Shared URL; even if i try again and simly select copy shared URL: nothing. The only way to copy the URL of the shared screen shot is to open the URL in a new window and manually copy the URL. This is a nuisance. It worked so much better in the previous version — bring it back. Please bring back my Skitch pre Evernote... I beg you. PLEASE@! This is simply not going to work for me. Mountain Lion (10.8.2) Skitch 2.0
  4. I am on a Mac running OS 10.8.3, with Firefox 21.0 + Evernote Web Clipper 5.7, and the Evernote desktop client 5.1.3. I recently noticed that some web pages which I clipped using the said Firefox addon doesn't correctly display in the desktop client. Like this: The portion visible in the screenshot above is all I got, I can't scroll down (there's nothing to scroll down to). Switching from normal window to full screen and back doesn't change anything either. Perplexingly, the same clipping, opened in the web Evernote, looks normal: I should also add that this is happening to the clippings I made a while (and a few versions) ago. What used to be perfectly normal now comes up truncated; just the top of the page and the rest is gone. I went back to the source URL and clipped again, to no avail. FYI, I got a few other add-ons installed, such as NoScript, but disabled them all when I made the second clipping. Besides I'm sure they were enabled the first time around, and I was still able to capture the whole page. Certainly not the biggest deal in the world, for I can still view and edit those clippings in their original, complete form using the web Evernote, but it's annoying. Just thought I'd bring this up, as nobody else has seemed to report in. Thank you in advance for your attention.
  5. Hi, I have just upgraded to mountain lion on my iMac and when I launch evernote it crashes unexpectedly. I have tried reinstalling. The same issue exists with Google Chrome which they are investigating here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/chrome/U2vPuZEX2so and http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=136801 Has anyone else experienced this? 6. Hey there, it would be awesome if it would be possible to drag Evernote notes onto Reminders.app, just like you can do with Mail.app mails, to create linked reminders. Thanks for your consideration! - Ben
  7. I just noticed in the Console.app that I have a lot of entries like this coming from Evernote in my system.log file: CoreData: error: (External Records Support): symlink from path /Users/xxxxxxx/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/Application Support/Evernote/accounts/Evernote/xxxxxxx/Evernote.sql to path /Users/xxxxxxx/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote/Data/Library/CoreData/com.evernote.Evernote/A8D5B1C7-873A-4A91-A99D-6498C96AC7AC/.support/store-file : Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=516 "The file “store-file” couldn’t be saved in the folder “.support” because a file with the same name already exists." 8. Hello Everyone! I just updated my OS to Mountain Lion last week. Ever since the upgrade, I cannot find the app in the spotlight. My other apps still appear when searched, and Evernote still opens from my applications folder. Any idea what's up? Thanks!
  9. Ever since I upgraded my Mac Mini to Mountain Lion (Mac OS 10.8.1) when I start Evernote it asks for my user name and password, then that screen goes away and then I can do nothing else. It doesn't load the window to show my notes, I can't make new notes or anything. If I click off the application then go to the dock to go back to it, it takes me back to the sign-in screen. I have twice tried deleting the application and re-installing it from the Apple App Store. That didn't fix anything. However after each re-install it still remembered my user name, so there must be a preference file or something that I can't find. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
  10. Evernote has crashed something like 15 times for me today, whenever I type even moderately fast. I am probably using it for the first time in Mountain Lion and have made sure that i have the latest version of Evernote installed. Just not sure why, I have typed faster before and have used Evernote since a long time now. Besides, this issue of crashing if typed quick seems to be happening only with Evernote (certainly not with TextEdit or Notes). I have sent the crash report almost everytime.
  11. I used to be able to right-click and open files (pdf, jpeg, doc, txt, etc) with Evernote. Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, that feature doesn't work. Evernote still shows as an application in the list of "open with..." but when I click on it nothing happens. Any suggestions?
  12. Hello, I upgraded to Mountain Lion and in the console I see the following message: 29-07-2012 11:34:13,608 mdworker32[902]: Attempt to add read-only file at path file://localhost/Users/marcvos/Library/Application%20Support/Evernote/accounts/Evernote/macvos/Evernote.sql read/write. Adding it read-only instead. This will be a hard error in the future; you must specify the NSReadOnlyPersistentStoreOption. and there are many - especially when Evernote starts. What can I do? Change some folder permissions?
  13. I use Moodle for online teaching, and after upgrading to Safari 6 (as part of my Mountain Lion upgrade) I found that I could no longer upload files to create download links for my students. I started receiving a JSON string error. To isolate the problem, I turned off half of my extensions, then the other half, etc. etc., and replicated the problem until I isolated a single extension that created the problem - and sadly, it was Evernote Web Clipper 5.6. I'm on a 2009 15" MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8. Anyone else having the same problem? Any fixes?
  14. I see an update available in the mac apple store for my evernote mac app. I am running Mountain Lion on an iMac. Each time I try to update, I get an error message. ERROR 1004. I've attached a screenshot of what I see. Each time this happened I see the option to retry, and it keeps giving me the same response. Has anyone run into this problem before on a Mac? Is it a Mountain Lion issue? Or something else? Thanks for your help!
  15. Hi, I have just installed Apple's new Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8.x) developer preview on my Mac Air and my notes will not migrate successfully without crashing the app. Just a heads up since it's not in everyone's hands yet. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install OSX Mountain Lion. 2. Download Evernote for the Mac (latest release version). 3. Run Evernote for the Mac. * The migration process starts but crashes after attempting the migration for a few seconds. I have attached the dump. Thanks, Ben spinthought en_306_mountainlion_crash.rtf
