  1. PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE: Please develop a product (similar to the discontinued Moleskine Daily Planner), that would allow us paper-calendar/planner lovers to integrate our calendars & schedules with Evernote & Outlook/Calendars/ICal. Here are my specific requested features/options: I would like to be able to write (on paper/old-school) my daily agenda/plan and to-dos on a hard copy daily (hour-by-hour) planner. I want to be able to scan that planner page, and have it sync with Evernote. I then want Evernote to convert that text (via OCR) into digital format - I do not want a scanned image/jpg of my calendar, that does me no good. I then want to have that digital plan uploaded / sync'd into my Outlook calendar (or maybe an Evernote calendar/planner than can be sync'd via the app, or another means like IFTTT or Zapier). I plan on paper, but execute off of digital/Outlook in my case. For this to work, the paper needs to be scannable into Evernote, and it must have an app integration that is OCR friendly. Furthermore, it would need to recognize preprinted dates and time blocks (hours), in order to synchronize with calendars. I want it to pay my bills and clean my house while we're at it... (Kidding... but yes, I realize I'm asking for a lot!) While I'm dreaming big, I would love to see Evernote partner with companies like these - which have easily acquired & quality daily planners (I like the ones that are small - pocket & personal sized, and that have the hourly time slots for appointments and such. Extra bonus if they also have a daily "to do" section.) MOLESKINE DAILY PLANNERS (You once offered this - where did it go? http://www.moleskinerie.com/2014/10/meet-the-moleskine-evernote-planner.html) Molekine's Daily Planner, with small/portable Colour/Color A Month Pocket Planners (#1 Request): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015NG45CE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 or via Moleskine at https://store.moleskine.com/usa/en-us/planners/2017-monthly-planners/12-month-color-a-month-planner/p981?ic=fe9MEQ%3D%3D Or even Moleskine's Daily Pocket Planner: https://store.moleskine.com/usa/en-us/planners/2017-daily-planners/12-month-daily-2017-planner/p1017?ic=WEqrnA%3D%3D They even have them in Peanuts' style: https://store.moleskine.com/usa/en-us/planners/2017-daily-planners/12-month-limited-edition-peanuts-daily-2017-planner-pocket/p978?ic=WydEOg%3D%3D Really, I'd consider any other quality planner with daily / hourly planning options from Covey, At-A-Glance, Day-Timer, etc. Fellow users - PLEASE take a second to VOTE on this. The more votes it gets, the more likely they are to add this feature. Thanks!
  2. Please find a way to make all text in Moleskine notebooks extractable & importable into other uses/applications (like calendars & To Do Lists). At present, it's supposedly "searchable." However, the search never works for me. This was the whole reason I got the Moleskines & Evernote Premium. As I understand it, it's supposed to only be searchable, and it simply inserts images as a jpg (rather than doing anything with the text.)
  3. I've searched the forum and haven't yet found a straightforward answer to my question: is there any reason I shouldn't switch from the Evernote smart moleskin notebook to a regular moleskin notebook of my choosing? Every other post caters to the opposite question of why one should use it and the features it provides, and they're all at least two years old or more. Before selling me on the merits of the Evernote Smart Notebook, save the effort. I am already a longtime user, and I am fully aware of its features. I discovered Evernote itself when I went back to school 7 years ago, and I wouldn't be able to do my job (environmental engineering) nearly as well without it. To date, I have about 9,500 notes utilizing one or more of 732 tags across 63 notebooks. Many of these are digitized meeting notes from my Evernote Smart Notebooks, all of which I retain as a hard-copy archive (about a dozen or so on the bookshelf) once they fill up. Whereas Don Draper has a drawer full of still-wrapped dress shirts ready to go, I usually have several still-wrapped Evernote Smart notebooks ready to go when the previous one fills up. I use (and prefer) the 8-1/4 X 5-1/4 inch version with grid paper. It most closely meets my needs, and I am disinclined to switch (among the Evernote-branded offerings) unless absolutely necessary. So, I understand well the merits of the smart notebook, the extra months of Premium membership, the smart tags (which I never use, since they are so limited in type), etc., and I am a huge fan of (and evangelist for) Evernote. However, I would really like to switch to a different, but similarly sized (non-Evernote-branded) moleskin for the reasons below. I'm seeking feedback on whether any of my observations are incorrect (entirely possible). Speaking only for myself, I find the existing embossed cover design to be hideous, like cheap mid-90s clip art. It simply is not a professional-looking notebook for my industry. I'd be fine with just the Evernote logo by itself, but the rest of the collage looks more suited to a tech startup or college dorm. Just my opinion. Apologies if you feel differently, but seasoned professionals need something different. I understand that the dots make it easier for the software to correct for skew and other issues. However, I successfully capture all manner of documents (utility bills, store receipts, scribbles on a cocktail napkin, etc.) all the time using the same iPhone camera I use to capture notes, all printed on plain paper or some other medium that isn't the Evernote-moleskin-specific paper. I get similarly satisfactory results, and I fail to see how using a different notebook would be any different from the other plain-paper documents I bring in. I never use the smart stickers. They are too few in number (both kind and quantity) to be of any use to me. Most of my notes have many tags, and any one tag might be required by dozens, even hundreds of notes. The smart stickers are a great tool, but they don't scale up to my use case. I do appreciate and use the extra months of Premium membership, but it is something I can live without in favor of a notebook with cleaner cover aesthetics. I'm already hooked on Evernote; I'm not going anywhere and don't need the extra enticement to pay for my membership. I believe the technical limits of the handwriting OCR are stressed more by my crude chicken scratch than the paper on which it is written. I doubt I'll see a huge drop off in ability to search my notes (in line with the second bullet above). I'm open to the distinct possibility that the drop off is there, but I haven't yet observed it. And yes, I realize that in the time I've pondered this and written this note, I could have just gone out an bought one to try out. I preferred to ask first instead. Thanks in advance.
  4. Can we please add a Moleskine-specific forum page? It applies to all platforms so would make sense to have a specific forum for that.
  5. I would like to see the following features made available to really make my Evernote Moleskines work for my needsd. 1) I want to be able to draw a to do list (check box followed by task), and then have the ability to take a photo and have it digitally converted to a typed checklist into evernote. I would also like the ability to update this list by checking off or 'x'ing out boxes on my checklists. 2) I would like the ability to tag items in my Moleskine without the need for stickers. Hashtags would be a good solution. 3) I would like to see if these features can be integrated into my MS Outlook (calendars/reminders/to dos) - however, I don't know that this is possible unless they are converted to digital.
  6. I had to do it - just had to try the Moleskin Smart Notebook -- After a few pages my question is what is the difference in just taking a pic of another notebook? I have a regular moleskin notebook and I had taken pics of pages in it into Evernote and so far I haven't seen the difference... What makes it smart?
  7. So, I love this idea and have just placed my pre-order. I'm excited about it. What would be really cool though, is that instead of having to use 'Smart Stickers' that we can link specific words/symbols to create specific tags - for example, if I handwrite #EN it tags the page with Evernote, etc. I'm also keen to see if there is a way to create a To Do list automatically, so if I write #ToDo Evernote automatically adds a checkbox to my note that I can later tick off. That way I can simply search false:todo to find all of my actions and tick off the ones I've complete. Now that would be very cool.... But in the meantime, I'm already taking pictures of my notes using the camera feature and loving it!
  8. Can't capture moleskin pages in iOS7 update. Slider in camera tool not working. Help.
  9. I'm wondering if the Evernote Moleskin Notebook works with regular digital cameras. I have a client who is a) not tech savvy and always trying to describe things in emails that would be better with accompanying pictures. This sounds like a perfect solution but I'm wondering if its either too tricky for someone like this or if she can even use it at all since she doesn't have a smart phone and doesn't want one (definitely not tech savvy). She does have a digital camera and I'm wondering if she can upload the pictures the same way into the Evernote online app .... or would it just be easier to buy her a regular old notebook to take regular old pictures of?
