  1. Oh my search tags are missing. My Internet has been out so I spent some time off-line setting up tags in Evernote and then tagging all my notes. 2. Hi, I noticed all my notes missing.been using app from 2014. Please help on how to restore my notes back
  3. Screenshot 1, Win 7 x64 Evernote client: Screenshot 2 / Web version: Hopefully the screenshots speak for themselves, but even after sync'ing numerous times, the client does not download my notes. I use EN across 4 devices (3 laptops, 1 mobile), so I'm hoping there isn't a risk of this client taking precedence resulting in the missing notes being removed across the other devices. Any assistance would be most welcome.
  4. I wanted to add a note to my Evernote and I created the note + I can see the title, but I cannot write anything and when I click on other titles, I cannot see the notes or click to write something new. It doesn't work. I see the titles plus the text, well, as much as I can see on a preview on the side but when I click, there is nothing there, except the title. It works perfectly on my phone, but not on my laptop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Tanja
  5. Everything's good, except the one and only Evernote Android thing that drives me nuts: Clipboard is inaccessible in the note making, unless you access it somewhere else, like, in the note title field. Evernote used to support this thing. Why would Evernote remove this? It's been a long time, and I decided to write this because I'm so fed up with doing this inefficient exercise: Wandering back and forth only to access and edit my recent contents of the clipboard, which contains way too much of copies to paste. Not to mention, those copies mostly have its font styles, meanwhile Evernote Android has no font styles, nor sizes. I know both Evernote Microsoft and Web are flawless, but does Evernote really expect us to carry PC everywhere we go? I wanted to write a feedback to Evernote, but Evernote has no contact for feedbacks. There's one more good example of different font styles and sizes on Evernote Android, but these attachments, already reached the upload limit, so bear with me. Thank you.
  6. Hello, After spending quite a while working on a note, I was editing a table when a strange glitch happened. I was typing some text within a box in the table and the text became surrounded by it's own box, as shown in the clip below: I then closed the note thinking the error would resolve upon re-opening. I then tried to access the note again to find that the entire content of the note had been deleted. Pressing 'undo' did nothing. I had copied the table prior to closing the note and so I was able to take the screenshot afterwards; however, the remainder of the note (several hrs of work) was gone. Not found in trash. Tried checking online account and same - blank note. Can't find the rest of the note by searching my other notes. This has happened to me previously as well, and I just sucked it up and re-typed the note thinking it was a one off. I don't have the paid account so can't access the "history" feature to try and restore. Any chance of restoring from my activity log or something? Is it worthwhile trying to submit this to Evernote? Anyone else have this problem? Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help.
  7. Hello. I use Evernote for my work as a market researcher. Sometimes I have to work in the street on different countries, where I don't have internet conection/wifi all the time. I worked all day on a note, arrived at my hotel room, catched a (poor) WIFI and intend to share the note to my e-mail (so I can have a backup, as I always do). As I was doing so, Evernote sent me a message "You don't have access to this note", and then the note dissappeared. I looked for it on the deleted items, on the Evernote Web and it's not there. The WIFI signal was poor, so maybe it didn't synched, but why it dissappeared completely?. I'm using the Free Version. Also, there's no support chat nor e-mail where I can get help.
  8. When home, I mostly use #EverNote on my desktop, sometimes it will not pull up my notes. Right now my #MainNoteBook, which has 55 notes in it, has a funny symbol beside it...maybe a download symbol??? And no notes are accessible. On the positive side, I can create new notes. I just cannot search notes. What is going on?
  9. Twice in the past week, I've found attachments suddenly missing from notes: First time: Four monthly statements from a single note (PDFs from a bank, with the account number blacked out for security) Second time: JPG in a note that was left open overnight, for me to pick up on where I left off when resuming work this morning Different notes, different notebooks, different attachment types, opened on different days. No connection between the two notes, in any way other than their existence in EN. This scares the heck out of me, giving the number of vital documents saved in EN. Has anyone else run into this since the most recent update? EN version 6.5 (453172 Direct) ... MacBook Air ... Yosemite 10.10.5 ... more than 30% of the drive remains available, so this can't be a storage space issue on the laptop....
Gracias.
  11. I have Evernote v. 6.8 on my Mac. In this version (downloaded from the Apple app store) I am missing sharing feature. I cannot share a notebook. The only button i have is a "upload" button for which I can only send _invites_ to people. I had this issue pop-up before, but it was corrected with a upgrade. Why is this recurring? I would like a permanent fix to this issue. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.
  12. Hi I was upgraded from Basic to premium account and after a year was moved back to basic account All my notes were intact except one note where there is no content - as I now have basic account I can't use notes history to retrieve content Please can you advise how I get content of this note back - if I upgraded to Premium would note history have missing content? Thanks Phil
  13. Multiple times now I have searched for notes, found the one I needed and opened it to find "EN_attachment" written there, but no attachment to open anymore. Maybe if there was a way I could tell if I emailed this note to myself or if I tried saving images or files — nope! There is only a big "F-U" from the app showing me my trust has been foolishly misplaced Mao much for going paperless now it's even easier to loose items forever! I'm totally pissed.
  14. When I scan a business card into Scannable it correctly identifies the address field & displays it in Scannable. However when I save to my iPhone 5s contacts the address field is not there. I am logged into LinkedIn during the scan and the scan also produces a LinkedIn URL but that is also missing when the contact is saved. The address field is missing in the final saved contact regardless if I am logged into LinkedIn or not. Any ideas why this is happening?
  15. Hello everyone. I have both a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition tablet. On my phone everything is working great with Evernote. I can Launch Evernote from the list of installed Apps, and also add the Evernote icon to a homescreen, add a widget, etc... However, my problem is that on the Note tablet I can not do any of this. No matter what I do there seems to be no way to add the Evernote icon to a homescreen or launch Evernote from the list of installed apps since it's not showing up in the list. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc... nothing works. The problem seems to be tied to the fact that Evernote comes preinstalled on this tablet, so the stock launcher is treating it differently. (That's just my best guess). For example, no matter what I do or try, the Evernote icon NEVER shows up in the list of installed or downloaded Apps even though the app is installed. For example, when I go to the Google Play store it shows the app as installed and I can thus open Evernote that way. Here's a few more details. On my 2014 edition Note tablet, there is a "Galaxy Apps" icon which opens up a similar app like Google Play or the Amazon App store apps. When I open up that Galaxy Apps icon, then I can eventually find the Evernote app icon buried a few pages deep and then launch the app. Even then it's not really the app icon because I can't long press on it and add it to the desktop. It's just the info page for the app with the options to uninstall updates or launch the app. So, on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 edition tablets is this the only way to launch the Evernote app - by going first to one of the Play store's then launching the app? That's crazy unless I'm missing something. Any ideas as to why Evernote does not show up in the normal list of installed Apps? Thanks, Brian
  16. I've noticed (by looking at the note counts alongside each notebook) that what I see in EN on one device is not exactly the same as on other devices. For example, on my iMac there are 1143 notes in total, yet on the Web there are 1151 notes and on my MacBook there are 1153 notes. Clearly some are missing. Yet all devices are apparently in sync. I'm not using any local-only notes so the count should be the same across all devices & views. I found, as an example, a note on my MacBook that simply isn't there on my iMac. The note isn't one I've deleted and it was created almost year ago. I just don't understand how the note count can be different across devices (well, not after syncing, anyway). How do I get Evernote to sync properly so I can trust it shows me everything anywhere (to paraphrase Evernote's tagline)? Anybody else had odd behaviour like this? Any tips?
  17. HELP HELP HELP. I may have accidentally deleted a note, i have looked in the trash but its not there , i tried restarting my phone . nothing !!!! I started the note on my phone. and it was supposedly synced to my other devices, my other device is a mac but i cant get a hold of it right now.. I really need the note back ! what do i do ??
  18. I use Evernote every day and I love it. I have however noticed that there seems to be a bug, where the note list on the left keeps flashing whilst the note is open on the iPad! No response from tech support regarding this. My colleagues have the same problem on their iPad. More importantly, I think it is time that Evernote added these features to the iPad version: Ability to link a file to a note eg Word, PPt etc Ability to insert or paste an image into the current note Ability to change the font, colour and size (this is a really basic thing that is missing!!) Ability to create notebooks on the iOS version and to colour code notebooks Please please please implement these additions - they are basic things that should have been there from the start! I would be happy to pay for the app if these features were not missing!
  19. I teach using Evernote, and two students had the same problem with disappearing notes today in our computer lab. (I've searched the forum for this exact problem, and while there are many disappearing notes posts, none seemed exactly the same.) As far as I can tell, both students did the same thing: At home, they added new notes through a web browser (Firefox for one, Safari for the other). There was no problem, and the auto-syncing of using web notes seemed to work. When they came to class, they logged into their accounts through Internet Explorer in the computer lab on Windows 7 PCs in the lab. They each found that one of their notes (I believe the newest one?) was still there, with the title intact, but with the content erased. When they added a new note in class, the same thing happened again: the previous note's title remained, but its content suddenly disappeared. These were both in folders they had shared with me, so I logged in through both the desktop client (Windows 7) and web client to check, and what I saw echoed what they saw on their screens: notes remaining with missing content. Any advice?
  20. I've added 71 notes to a new sub-book under an existing notebook with 2 other sub-books. In all my other devices these notes cannot be found or seen using Evernote. I've searched by tag and content and yet it's like they don't exist. They can, however, been seen in the Beta Evernote just released. The problem there is that the notes cannot be moved or viewed on other devices. Not that I know of anyway. Anyone else encountered this?
  21. HELP! I just can not find a note in my Evernote That note is offen maintained and update by me once a week or once a month,it's very important for me, but now is't gone. my other note is still ok, also I'd make some TimeMachine files in my Disk.(I use Mac Time Capslue). I tried to search in my Evernote Trash and every file in my current note and there history version.(for this I've upgrade to a premiun account) -------- I have no other way to find back that note, so I come to think if I can use my backup file in my time machine, to cover the old file back to my new mac OS?
  22. When I use the "Win + A" command to "copy the selected section" all information and formats are saved but not the photos. In many cases this is a good thing, but in some cases you would also want to include the pictures. This is a new problem and I don't know what triggered this. Any suggestions for help and troubleshooting?
  23. I recently noticed I was missing a couple notebooks from the evernote client on Windows 7. I did not delete the notebooks or anything. Some info: - The are shared notebooks created by another user. - The notebooks still show up in both the web browser, and my android client. The only thing I can think of that changed: - downgraded from a premium to regular account, - rearranged notebooks to a stack in the windows client for better organization But this didn't affect all notebooks; just 3 (out of 22 shared) that I've noticed, so I can't see how either of these would be the source. So my browser shows 22 shared notebooks, my client shows 19. All my non-shared notebooks are there.
  24. I transferred my Evernote files (including the Database folder etc) from Windows XP to Windows 8 (now Windows 8.1) a month or so back and now realise that I have totally lost my local (Private) notebook. I thought the local notebook was stored separately in the LocalStorage folder and so I've been chasing around through old backups and the File History looking for an old LocalStorage folder that actually holds something, to no avail. Now that I've read that my local notebook is included in the main database file, how could transferring my full Evernote folder to the newly installed Evernote program in Windows 8 cause just the local notebook to disappear?
  25. I was using Evernote on my MacBook Pro, and while in a Note, it went missing. I looked in the Trash for it, thinking I had clicked the Trash symbol by accident. I can not find my note. I closed and reopened Evernote, still not there. As well I looked on my iPhone and the note is missing from there. Any other suggestions? This was a long note spanning over a year or more of information.
