  1. What I love about Todoist is the Karma points. It provides a secret motivation for me since I am a firm believer in "tracking" and "measuring" things. If you cannot measure it, you cannot manage | improve it! Karma in Todoist serves dual purposes in my opinion. One is that once you start getting to a certain level, I think you would reconsider switching Task Management apps since you built up all this Karma and momentum. 2nd, it does give you a sense of achievement as you level up. This is very important for the "gamer" mentality. If you want to learn more about the gamer mentality (even if you don't play video games), check out the book "Reality is Broken" by Jane McGonigal. It basically talks about the feedback people need as well as the rewards. A bonus about the Karma was, when I reached Professional level, I received an email with a 3 month Premium Subscription Free code - One for me and one for a friend! This is where the Marketing and Sales part comes into play! What a great way to promote the premium subscription. I was not aware of this when I signed up for premium so it was a nice 3 month add on! When I reached the Expert level, I received the same codes - one for me and one for a friend! To me this was genius! It keeps me as a customer and it makes me recommend it to others which I have done to couple friends. I think this could be a great strategy and a tool for Evernote as well. Number of notes could be a Karma related item, or even the content as far as number of PDFs, images, words etc. Some kinda of formula to calculate your Karma points. It will add value and more loyalty to the users in my opinion.
  2. Evernote Marketing Nag is Pervasive and it needs to stop now. When I have paid for a product, I find it offensive to also have to endure frequent marketing in that product that continually interrupts my workflow. I usually don't sweat the small stuff, and I'm not inclined to complain about stuff that has little impact on me, even if it is irritating. Over the last 6-12 months, there have been many complaints about Evernote "nag notices" on many, if not all, of the Evernote platforms/clients. As a Premium account owner who mostly uses the Mac, I haven't really seen these nag notices. However, EN iOS turns out to be different. I am seeing Evernote marketing nag ads very often on EN iOS 7.9.1. I haven't kept a record, but it seems like several times a week, sometimes several times a day. These EN nag ads have a direct impact on my productivity, as they block the EN data I want/need to seen, and I have to tap on a small X to remove the ad, which can be a challenge to do sometimes. What is particularly irritating about this particular ad is that it is a promotion to get me to upgrade to Premium, although I'm already a Premium user. Here's a screenshot I just made today:
  3. Hi everyone, I'd like to know if if it's possible to use Evernote to create a "promotional calendar" for our marketing department. Basically, what I've envisioned is the possibility of viewing Evernote in calendar view, and creating colored "blocks" in the calendar days, each block representing a particular promotion that we're having. For example: Black Friday deal (blue block): 11/27 to 11/28 Winter holiday sale: 11/29 - 12/3 The point of the calendar view is to see visually what promotions are going on, and to make sure that none of them will overlap one another. The blocks can be custom colored to distinguish between different promos. Thanks guys!
  4. Is Evernote trying to make support disappear? Most of us are aware of Evernote's recent decisions to restrict their Support Department's responsiveness. One issue that bugs me as a Premium user is their use of the no-contrast, almost-invisible, lime-green font which makes the support process difficult for people who have less than perfect 20-20 vision.
