Somehow, sometime in the past couple of weeks the web clipper icon disappeared from the Safari toolbar. Today I have attempted to install it again and cannot claim any success. Process is: download Evernote.6.1.3.safariextz from EN site.double click resultant file in Downloads folder.quit and relaunch SafariThe expected result is that the web clipper icon shows in the toolbar. The actual result is no icon, Evernote.6.1.3.safariextz file removed from Downloads, no error message. I have rebooted the machine, Mac OS X 10.9.3 Safari 7.0.4 Web Clipper 6.1.3 MacBook Pro laptop. Clipper working as expected with Chrome and Firefox
Okay, this may be a long-windy story, but I'll try to describe the timeline as clearly as possible. I got a new MacBook and decided to install Evernote. Now I already have an Evernote account for use on my iMac for roughly 5 years. After installing Evernote on my MacBook, I realized that two-step verification was not enabled as I previously thought. [Extraneous: So I tried logging onto Evernote via website through Google Chrome on my MacBook (macSierra), but could never get past clicking onto the Security Summary page because of my number of cookie/script-blocking browser extension. Regardless, I had other problems when I moved ahead. See following...] So I went over to my iMac and logged onto the Evernote website (same OS and web browser version), and now was able to go onto the Security Summary page. After a number of tries with inputting my phone number in for verification text (my phone was delayed and wasn't receiving Evernote verification texts right away... then multiple Evernote texts pop up kind of thing)... Then after getting through that fiasco, I had a problem with my Android phone "screen overlay" in trying to use Google Authenticator and capture the QR code with my phone camera. When Google Authenticator finally captured my QR code and initiated an Evernote account, I log out... and log back in... Evernote did not ask for two-step verification. So I go back to Security Summary... after I verified my email, I get an "internal error" when I type in my phone number for another text verification. .... I don't know what to do. Few years back, I also had problems trying to "turn off" two-step verification and had to contact Evernote Tech Support to get things right. SCRBBL
Recently I have encountered a problem with Evernote's Chrome Web Clipper. When I clip on the clipper icon only a small white box appears and nothing else shows up. Also when I go to the options for the Web Clipper it is just blank form with no text on it (like in the screenshot below). I have tried deleting and reinstalling the extension hoping it was just a small problem with the previous installation. However, that doesn't seem to work either, I still encounter the same problem. I also have the Safari version of Web Clipper and it seems to work just as fine. I am really stuck here can anyone help me? FYI I have Google Chrome 16.0.912.41 beta and Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
Hi I became a premium user just for the ability to annotate PDFs, and this is extremely frustrating. I've searched the forum, and I understand that this same question has been asked multiple times already and I know the answer always is: However, this is not what is happening. Skitch is making a true annotated PDF ("rich PDF"). But it is still making a new note in Evernote every single time I make a new annotation. Here is my workflow: 1. Add a PDF to evernote by either: A. "Attach File" from the File menu B. "Evernote WebClipper" a PDF directly from the web into evernote 2. Use the "Mark Up With Skitch" icon to annotate PDF with skitch from within Evernote 3. I select the *2nd option* in the Popup dialog, the actual name of the PDF file, not "Mark up entire note" 4. I annotate the note in Skitch and click "Save to Evernote" from within Skitch 5. It has now created a SECOND note in Evernote that is the annotated PDF 6. This SECOND pdf is a "Rich PDF". It is NOT flattened 7. If I want to add any more annotations it will create a THIRD note 8. Another note will be created if I select EITHER the original note to annotate OR select one of the already annotated notes I have attached screen shots of my work flow
