  1. i am constantly logged out of the web client within several hours and need to log in several times per day. this is especially annoying if i have 2-factor authentication enabled. how do i increase the idle time before i am logged out?
  2. Hi, "You have been logged out of Evernote"....sigh. Ok - I get the security reason for logging you out every so often - although 30 days seems a little quick to me - but I can deal with that - I'll log back in ok fair enough...my password's saved in Chrome anyway. BUT - what really infuriates me is that once you've logged back in - do you go back to the note you were editing before? No...you go back to a default view of all of your notes. Why? I use Chrome and generally have lots of tabs open - with lots of different Evernote notes open when I'm working on multiple things. It's my 'in progress' stuff - I keep all the tabs open on the things I'm working on. I tell Chrome to re-open with all the tabs that I had open when I closed it - so I close Chrome when I shut my laptop down, and re-open Chrome when I turn it back on again - and there's all my work and notes again as they were. Fine.... except when Evernote decides I need to log in again - and then I just have 10 'you have logged out of evernote' tabs. I log into each one - and they all just go back to the list of notes. Great. Can Evernote be updated to maintain the current note when you've logged out and logged back in again please? The URL must have the note name/ID in it - as you can re-open a tab in a browser and it normally ends up back to the same note - so why does the 'logout / login' process not keep that part of the URL and put you back where you were? Anyone else find this infuriating? I'm using Chrome (Version 61.0.3163.79 (Official Build) (32-bit)) on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 on a Lenovo laptop - and mainly access Evernote through web - but also on the iPhone app.
  3. I was troubleshooting my husband's iPhone and needed some info in my Evernote account. He does not use Evernote and did not have the app installed, so I logged in to the desktop site in Safari. Now I can't figure out how to log out. Please help.
  4. I'm a newcomer to Evernote, running on Linux OS so I'm using the web client. What's the correct protocol for log in/out? Log in and stay logged in throughout the day, or only log in when needed to do something? Thanks.
  5. Everytime I open up my web browser (google chrome) I have to log back into evernote web clicker. Is there anyway to keep me logged in?
  6. The crux of the issue for me is that quitting is not logging out. This is not what I expect, it's counter-intuitive (and dangerous). The way Evernote seems to work, both on my Mac and iPhone, is that if I just quit Evernote, it’s not protected. Launching the app opens it up logged on, so anyone who gets onto my Mac or my iPhone also gets into my Evernote without having to log on. This is too easy an error to make (from a security point of view) and one which I’ve been making unknowingly for months. So, I think you might want to add an option to your app so that when quitting Evernote one can choose to do so without logging out or with logging out. Those who don’t want to be bothered with this prompt should be able to opt out of it in preferences, but for the rest of us, security-aware, we could have this work so that either every time we quit we also log out, or we get a choice each time we quit Evernote. Please let me know if this option is already available and I just haven’t seen it, or if it can be made available. Thanks, FrogPhotog
  7. I logged into Evernot yesterday and today I tried to decypt my encrypted note but the password I knew well didn't work. I logout and logged in again , then it worked. Before logging in again I tried typing password somewhere else to see if caps lock or something wasn't turned on but it was all ordinary. a bug? I made me worried about my important encrypted information. using Windows 7 64bit, Evernote v4.5
  8. Is there any way to logout automatically when I quit the application? I use my mac with my brother and I don't want him to see my notes while I go to bathroom or something so, please let me know if there's a function for auto-logout. Thanks.
  9. I use EN on a MacBook Pro running Yosemite. When I make changes in Preferences - like turning off keep EN Helper running in the background when I quit - when I go back to look it is turned on again. Also, when I exit EN it doesn't provide a login, and I have two factor configured. It use to. Somewhere along the way, one of the updates, it no longer requires me to login. I have to actually sign out.
  10. Dose evernote free version have a option of loggin out automaticaly when you just close the window? it is really painful to go all the way and logout each time manually every time you need to close. Few people uses the same software in my PC, most of the time I forget to logout, I just close the software. So when ever the next person open the evernote, it automatically login into my account. How can I resolve this problome?
  11. ????? Seriously, implement a true logout, your current system is broken. I emptied the fields in account info, but booting up the app just brings up a login window, and the evernote window along side it with all my personal things for anyone to see. Did you even test this? I had to create a new fake user just so it would clear my personal content.
  12. I've looked everywhere in the Evernote app (2.2.2) on my Mac (10.5.8) and cannot find a way to sign out of my company's account and sign into my personal account. How can I switch accounts?
