  1. How is there not a language pack for English speaking Canadians? Not everybody to who uses English talks or writes like Americans.
  2. Web app is great. It easily replaced the desktop app for me but the font in web app doesn't support all turkish characters. My other complain is about the shortcuts. I couldn't find changing it or turning it off, when I press ctrl+number to change tab, it changes the font size and it is the most disturbing thing about this web app to me. have a nice day
  3. I've been an Evernote user since Nov 2010. Over the years, I noticed more language packs becoming available and am happy with that. What boggles my mind, that still there is only English (US) - when will UK be added? Reason being, I'm not UK, but many places in the world, do not use the USA English where 'z' is often used. It frustrates me that often I need to use the USA English to remove the red underline. With so many software platforms nowadays running on so many languages, one would believe implementing UK English should be fairly easy.
  4. Arabic language is largely spoken in the Middle East. All major software and applications support Arabic language. It is time for Evernote to support Arabic right to left dictation.
  5. Hey everyone. If I attempt to access the evernote home page in my browser, I'm instantly redirected to: https://evernote.com/intl/fr/ and the entire page is in French. This only happens when I use Firefox. When I use Chrome, the page comes up in English. I thought perhaps the language settings were messed up on my browser, but if I visit http://mybrowserinfo.com/detail.asp?bhcp=1, it verifies my browser is properly configured for English: Language: English System Language: Not detectable with this browser User Language: en-us Once I log in, the site is properly in English. I can change the language at the bottom to "English (US)", which takes me to an English page at the following URL: https://evernote.com/?noredirect But it's not a permanent change. Any ideas what might be going on here? Why does Evernote's home page insist I'm French?
  6. I recently installed Evernote on a Mac laptop, and the spell-checking feature seems to apply only British English and not US English. For example, it flags "organization" and "initialization" as incorrect, and suggests to change them to "organisation" and "intialisation". I can select to learn the US spelling when I use it, but I don't want to do this for each word. I could not find a way to configure Evernote to use US English. I also checked all of the Mac system preferences related to language, and the only English-flavor reference that I could find was in the keyboard settings, which are configured to use US English. Mac OS version: 10.11.6 ; Evernote version: 6.9 On my Windows 10 laptop, running Evernote v6.2.4, the spell checking uses US English and flags British English as incorrect. I believe this is also true for Evernote on my Windows 7 work laptop. I am using the latest Evernote versions available for each platform.
  7. Hi all my issue with evernote is its left to right languages support for languages like Persian or Arabic. There are way to many issues, i would just point out a few: i have a persian font named "b nazanin". when i format my entire note with it, some bits are left unformatted and remain in the original font format. i have attached a picture which shows the symptom. using bullets and right alignment, the bullets remain on the left hand side same as above only with numbering ultimately if there was a right to left writing option in addition to right alignment (like Microsoft word or other word processors), lots of mistakes would not appear, like the misalignment of numbers or symbols in text (i know this one is a bit more complex so no pressure) thank u in advance
  8. I am new to Evernote, and have put it on my tablet and smartphone. I also use my PC a lot On the PC it is impossible to use because Evernote always is French. I cannot find a way to change the language. It always goes to a page with an "fr" extension. It there any way to access an English version on a web page? I assume that Evernote is a French company that prefers mobile devices. However, has anyone found a way to access it on a PC in English? Or does it simply not exist? I know there is a downloadable PC app but I am wary about getting more French on my PC. My high school french won't get past this.
  9. Since the 6.2.0 update the language settings of my clipper changed to the locale I'm currently using in my firefox (non-English). Is there an option to change it back? I can't find it in settings dialogue.
  10. I am trying to use Evernote to store some notes in MÄori. Unfortunately, as there is no dictionary I can install to type in MÄori, this means a lot of the words I type are marked as incorrect by the Mac built in spellchecker. More frustratingly, the autocorrection will change MÄori words into English ones, but if I hit undo, instead of reverting the autocorrection as it usually does, Evernote reverts my typing of the word. You can see this in action here, where I'm trying to add the word "pepeha" at the beginning of the sentence. I type it, it autocorrects to "pepper", I hit "undo" and it removes the whole word. This is driving me crazy, but I don't want to turn off autocorrect system wide in Mac just to fix the issue. Any help appreciated
  11. Hi, I usually use the Evernote software on my PC. I found the mobile version today, and downloaded it for convenience. My android phone is a Korean machine, and everything is written in Korean, which I can't really read. How do you change the language of the Evernote android app?
  12. I teach in a Mandarin immersion program in which the students are learning both English and Mandarin with myself teaching English while my partner handles the Mandarin. I was thinking of having the students create a dictionary using whiteboards to capture the translation of characters to English or vise a versa and capturing the work with a camera. I would create a shared notebook and at least initially I would load the images myself. I've had students create something along these lines before using index cards and keeping them on a binder ring, and I was thinking that by doing it this way we could have a searchable database of current words that they are studying as well as a reference for later in the year when we were finished.
