  1. Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to use my evernote account and a jotscript pen to go paperless in my student workflow for a writing class. I've looked far and wide and still haven't found anybody doing (or at least written about) this option. Here is what I'd like to do: Option #1 Students send me an email to my evernote email. I then use a jotscript pen to edit their paper like I would if they gave me a written copy I send it back to their email for them to revise Option #2 - Do the same via a chat in evernote with students who have an evernote account. Anyone have any advice? Experience? My goal is to go as paperless as possible. I've tried this with my son and his evernote account but the workflow using penultimate was less than ideal. Thanks!
  2. Hi, Apart of the new roll out of IOS 10. I noticed there is lag and discrepancies with how the Jotscript interacts with Penultimate. At times its unusable. This is kind a big deal to me because I heavily rely and use Penultimate & Jotscript to get stuff done both at home and work/business. Any help would be good.
  3. Well, I got my Jot Script today. I was excited to hopefully FINALLY be happy taking notes on my iPad. I am sorry to say, that is not the case. First off, don't get me wrong. The Jot Script is the best stylus I have used. It has a nice feel in my hand, feels well balanced and the writing surface is nice and smooth. The problem is, it works better in other applications than it does in Penultimate. I guess this is my Penultimate rant. I will try to stay factual. Problem #1: I still have odd offset issues when I zoom in to write. Sometimes I have to zoom out and back in to get the pen to align properly with the "ink". This doesn't do well for me in situations I need to write quick. Problem #2: The panning effect when zoomed in would be the perfect solution if I wrote cursive. I have not written in cursive for 20+ years. I write with single letters, printing the old school way so it is nearly legible. When I jump over to Good Notes, the zoom feature on that product does exactly what I would love to see in Penultimate. Good Notes seems pretty good.. but notice it's not named Great notes. I find the zoom feature nearly unusable with Penultimate with or without the Script. I had a Jot Pro as well. Same issues. Problem #3: Getting in and out of notebooks is a chore. You can't quickly jump to your notebooks and into another without a lot of flicking and scrolling. Maybe I like the "shelf" paradigm better, but it seems quicker to get to multiple books without having to know what order your books were in based on last edit. Problem #4: This is a nit.. but Notes Plus has a feature that I'd like to see Penultimate do as well. Some sort of "smoothing" of my writing. It's hard enough to write on a tablet with crappy handwriting, but it does make it look nicer with their feature. On that note, Good Notes has the "shapes" feature. This is very useful when doing quick diagrams. I like to do quick interface designs.. and shapes (not stencils necessarily) would be a great help. The auto-shape feature on Good Notes is the right mix of speed and accuracy. Problem #5 You can't sort your custom papers, or create custom folders. I'd like folders custom for writing, scheduling, interface designs, etc I am hoping the Penultimate team steps their game up. The custom papers is a great feature. Evernote sync is top notch. There are just too many issues from keeping me using this product. I am moving on for now and taking my Stylus with me. Maybe I'll be back after some updates. In my humble opinion, Penultimate is NOT at the standard level of Evernote's product. BTW.. I have been a paying sub for Evernote from the beginning. I was 2,194th paying user. I LOVE Evernote.
  4. Hi friends!! Who here uses the Penultimate app for iPad? Lately , bought the Jot Script pen and I am not satisfied with the writing accuracy on the tool. Does anyone have any solution? The version of my Penultimate is the last .
  5. I purchased a Jot Script Evernote Edition stylus last week. It's way too unreliable and unresponsive, especially considering the cost. The biggest problem however, is just how noisy it is when you are trying to take notes on an iPad and the pen hits the iPad, making it completely distracting and unusable in any meeting or seminar, as after a minute or so everyone's just staring at you because of the noise ... I am thinking of taking it back to where I bought it as I don't think I can use it.
