  1. Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to use my evernote account and a jotscript pen to go paperless in my student workflow for a writing class. I've looked far and wide and still haven't found anybody doing (or at least written about) this option. Here is what I'd like to do: Option #1 Students send me an email to my evernote email. I then use a jotscript pen to edit their paper like I would if they gave me a written copy I send it back to their email for them to revise Option #2 - Do the same via a chat in evernote with students who have an evernote account. Anyone have any advice? Experience? My goal is to go as paperless as possible. I've tried this with my son and his evernote account but the workflow using penultimate was less than ideal. Thanks!
  2. Hi, I have recived my jot script today, but i can't pair it the Penultimate, have watched some diffrent guides on connecting it and before it where an menu in the settings panel. But its gone.... HOW DO I DO, Best regards Petter
  3. I am a big Evernote fan. Got a Scan Snap for Xmas and a jot script pen. Sorry to say that Penultimate works poorly with the Jot Script. Terrible latency and stalling out. Quite unreliable. I tried changing the battery several times. Shutting down my iPad and restarting, No change. I was about to send the pen back. But, tried it with the Notes Plus iPad app. Voila! Quite close to writing on paper. This is my first disappointment in an Evernote product. Penultimate is not ready for prime time when used with the Jot Script. I trust this will be fixed, but seems a good deal of work is necessary. BTW Scan Snap works flawlessly.

  12. I was wondering if the jot script comes with a year of premium.
  13. I've been using my new Jot Script at work a lot this week, and I have a suggestion that would help immensely. As you know, the script sometimes loses connection if the iPad sleeps or the user swaps apps, requiring the user to pop the power button on the pen to reconnect. If the script connection is still "alive" or is reconnected, a text prompt shows "Jot Script connected" prompt appears briefly and vanishes. This prompt is useful but is only visible for a brief moment. I've had to press the power on the pen then shift my gaze quickly to the iPad to see whether the prompt appears. I know there are workarounds to test the script's status, but if I'm using Penultimate to take quick incident notes, I don't have time to tinker. So I have a couple of ideas mocked up to provide real-time connection status to the user. (I can't know, of course, whether the back-end information is available to support this.) The mockups assume that Penultimate "knows" if a Jot Script has been paired before. Assume that these markers would only occur when this is the case. OPTION 1: Paired, Script is Available: The BB won't let me post more screenshots, so the other options are posted here.
  14. Just received my Jot Script prior to Christmas and began playing around this am. i watched the getting started video and seem to have a basic problem, the device never shows in Bluetooth as sync'd nor is there a fourth line item under the general settings to pair the pen with the software. i am running Penultimate 5.0.2 on iOS 7. any thoughts?
  15. It nice to work with Evernote and Penultimate. But a little bug is irritating. We know that Penultimate has supported the Jot Script, a blue tooth stylus from Adonit. However the accuracy of location in Penultimate is good but has a little problem. I attach a file to describe the bug I meet every time. Briefly, there is an unaccessible offset in your 'first' writing. The first writing after you change the tool, after you change the color of stylus and so on. This bug only exists when using blue tooth and Penultimate shows that the "Jot Script connected". So every time I have to do the writing at the first time, I need to write on the other side to make the location precise. I
  16. I can't wait to get my hands on the Adonit Jot Script stylus for Penultimate. Being a student, there's nothing cooler than being able to use my iPad for my notes and diagrams. However I notice Evernote doesn't support stylus input on iOS and Penultimate doesn't seem to recognize a bluetooth keyboard. Is there any way to incorporate drawings into my typed up notes while I'm in class? A small diagram might be required every now and then in the middle of my notes so it would be great to incorporate both for my lectures, Any thoughts or suggestions? Does anyone else feel like an integration feature is necessary? -Athan
