  1. Evernote is one of my favourite apps. But I do miss the support of Textexpander on my I-pad pro with smart keyboard. That would make my GTD workflow in combination with Fantastical 2 as my agenda and Omnifocus 2 as my project /to do planner (both support TE) and Evernote as my notebook / archive totally a blast. I also do use Snapentry or Drafts for implementing notes in Evernote with the support of TE, but often I just want directly work in Evernote.

  3. I've been using Evernote since 2010 I think, it's come a long way since then and I legitimately depend on it daily. That said, there's something that it's been missing, and since the entrance of more accurate pointing devices on tablets, I find it maddening how this is still a thing that hasn't been done yet. I'd like to request better annotation support. Yes, I understand that annotation has been available for the past few years, but it essentially saves the annotations as attachments. I'm requesting a way to annotate notes directly in the original document that's being generated in Evernote. For example, say you're building a table in an Evernote note, then would like to draw a red line through some of the cells, and make a blue circle around other cells, currently those colored annotations are basically saved along with a copy of the table in a .pdf file that's attached to the note page. Wouldn't it be great if one could simply make those annotations to a note, but NOT have to save them as a separate file!? Doing this, if one wanted to come back and alter the original table later - adding more cells, changing the content of some cells, or deleting the annotations all together - one could. For those that work mostly with tablets, this could be a huge game changer because they could start adding in hand written notes directly into the Evernote note space, then add typed text in that same work-space too. Opposed to having long notes that contain multiple files, some typed and some hand written. I'm going to mention Microsofts OneNote as a more developed version of this, I think. Last time I looked at it, it had something similar (2011). The problem is, it's Microsoft and try to avoid them as much as possible. This would be awesome if it could be done. Regardless, keep up the great work guys.
  4. In the past, I could easily edit sketches inside notes on my iPad Pro. but now, I can’t edit them any more. When I tap the sketch to edit it, it opens as an image. I can added Annotations, but that’s not the same as Editing a Sketch. the weird thing is, I can easily edit Sketches on my IPhone 6s, the same Sketches I can’t edit on iPad. I have a Premium EN. Any ideas what to do?
  5. I have started using Evernote for hand written notes more with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil but am frustrated by the small area that Evernote presents for scribbling in. If I was using Penultimate I get to tap at the bottom and on to a new page quickly, but in Evernote we have to close then tap the pen scribble icon again to add another section and cannot scroll through the whole note without tapping done again. Is there a way to have a longer note taking area, that is in portrait layout not landscape layout when using the Apple Pencil or other stylus on Evernote on iPad? Martin.
  6. Something seems to have changed in the last week or so with Evernote on the iPad Pro. I make notes and draw sketches using the Apple Pencil. The app is now attempting to auto-correct every hand-written mark I make, and this is very much undesirable and a productivity killer. After drawing a line, Evernote automatically straightens it, or turns my "o" into zeroes, and any number of other similar corrections. If I click the Undo button, Evernote reverts the auto-correction to my initial sketch, which was my intent anyway. The app was not doing this earlier this week. What has happened? How do I disable this "feature"? Did I inadvertently change a setting? I have looked through the settings menu but do not see anything that seems relevant. Help. Please.
  7. Anyone having an issue with handwriting - some letters, numbers, and marks disappear, leading to write and rewrite and rewrite. The issue for me is in the letters M and S and A. Number 5. And some others, but these are the ones that I have noticed the most. Specifically using iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.
  8. I'm using evernote on an mac, iPad pro (9,7) and on an iPhone. While listening the speaker it would be nice to make notes directly inside the evernote note AND - as the iPad pro can show 2 windows side by side - to be able to open on the second screen a pdf document and make notes or highlights on it directly INSIDE the pdf document without using Adobe or any other PDF app (similar like make notes on a document in one note). The advantage is, you have your written notes which you can share somehow or send via e-Mail AND - on your PDF document you have your highlighted areas, comments and on the evernote note itself you have the part you may need differently for e-Mails, for your workspace etc. And as my last whish - a white background would be nice too. BR
  9. Here's a feature I think would be super useful for all students (myself included), a way to handle PDF slides in evernote, in addition to the normal Skitch annotation. An option to import PDF files (i.e. lecture notes) to a new note, and each slide would appear in the notes window, directly ready to annotate. And each slide would have an "own notes" section directly on the side of that particular slide. No application has a workable feature like this (OneNote has one but it doesn't work well). Please for the sake of all students, consider developing this kind of function to work on Mac and iPad Pro (with the Apple Pencil).
  10. First off, I love this app and I've had it for a long time. Ever since I purchased the first iPad my hope was to move my daily journaling and writing practices to the iPad. Now this is finally happening with the iPad Pro and PenUltimate. However, I do find that PenUltimate is not the greatest at returning me where I last left off. I created a journal Notebook and within that I have one "note" that will serve as my journal for the rest of this calendar year. I'm currently on page 19 of this note and when I go to open it in the morning it doesn't typically take me to where I left off (the last page). Instead, I have to scroll to get there and then start again. What's more is that if I am using the app, briefly switch to another and then return to PenUltimate, it doesn't put me back at where I left off. Instead, it'll put me a few pages before that and I have to scroll again. Given how much I use the app, this happens quite a few times in a day. A fix for this would be quite lovely.
  11. So guys, need your help, im going to college again(nutrition) and i want to be more paperless and efficient, beside that i like studying different kind of subjects, but unfortunately i have to keep printing pdfs for annotation and things like that, i also have a notebook with me for frequent annotations on things i find interesting, or read, saw somewhere. My main question is, which could be the right device for that use, handwriting notes, annotate on pdfs, draw, read ebook and make annotations there(points, arrows, handwritten notes, post its), save web articles for studying, ill use the evernote to keep all of them in the same place, but i need the manual thing on a portable device or ill start to get way too much mechanic and not creative, i like mind maping, drawing, highlighting, colors, for my learning. From what i saw, the ipad pro together with the notability app or the good notes 4 would be a good call(i heard those are good together with the evernote), but im new in this world and i want some suggestions, thats it, i currently have a lg g4, and this would be my first apple device maybe, need help. Edit: I already have a dell notebook for when i need a true desktop.
  13. Does anyone know if there are plans for an iPad pro specific version of EN or features like list view for iPad pro?
