  2. Currently, all emails I send to my Evernote "Email Notes to" address land in the "Inbox" notebook. I am suggesting to have a separate email address for each notebook, just like Todoist has a separate email for each project. I know, it is possible to route an email into a specific notebook by adding "@notebook_name" to the email subject but in practice, this is inconvenient, time consuming, and error prone. you have to remember to use "@" (instead of "#" as it is in other applications). You have to type the notebook name correctly. You have to click edit subject + navigate to the end of it + type out the notebook name manually ... For the Todoist projects to which I often email todos, I saved the corresponding email addresses into my address book, all prefixed with "Todoist - " - thus, when I start typing "Todo" in the recipient field, all of my email clients are giving me auto-complete suggestions for all Todoist project email addresses I saved. Very convenient, very fast to use, no danger of mistyping. I'd love to do the same with Evernote notebooks. A nice side effect of not modifying the email subject: all common email clients are automatically grouping emails with the same subject into a thread (even if prefixes like "FWD:" are added). Thus, leaving the subject as is when forwarding to Evernote will attach this forwared email to the same thread as the original one, making it easy and convenient to check which ones you saved to Evernote already. This feature request also reflects the desires of dozens of commenters on the following two feature requests. Yet, I decided to create a separate thread here because the other two are only mentioning this feature among others: Feature Request: Link multiple email addresses to Evernote account Multiple Email Adresses
  3. Hello, fellow Evernote users! My name is Myles McGinley, and I am the founder of Tangle, a knowledge management tool and Evernote integration that generates connections between your notes and automatically shows you them in an explorable graph. We are launching our closed alpha test in early July and are looking for passionate Evernote users to try out Tangle and give us feedback. Click here to sign-up! A bit about why we are building Tangle: We have found that our knowledge is siloed. It is siloed as thoughts in our notebooks, emails in our inbox, and files in our folders. Most importantly, it is siloed across people. The greatest innovation, collaboration, and creative breakthroughs come from connections, yet our technology continues to focus on isolated content creation. A solution for personal knowledge management in today's world of information overload should be holistic and connected. It should constantly give you the feeling of building an explorable map. It should frequently elicit the dopamine rush of the Aha! moment. It should automatically connect your current thinking to the past. It should not only seal the cracks through which so many of our ideas slip but opportunistically bring them back to the surface when helpful. That is how it feels using Tangle. We are building it because we believe in empowering everyone to capture and connect thoughts to create big ideas. A description of the product: Tangle is your personal knowledge graph. It’s a tool that leverages the power of connections to make anything you write down more valuable. Capture your thoughts, jot down ideas or take notes without worrying about how to organize them and watch as they connect automatically with any related information in your tangle. Easily surface interesting relationships between what you know when you search your tangle. You can also integrate Tangle with Evernote. Easily import your Evernote notebook to seed your tangle and immediately visualize all the connections between your notes. Don't worry, this is a one-way import, we do not touch any of your Evernote data and anything you import into Tangle can be easily exported as well. We will be developing more integrations soon! We'd love some of you guys to give Tangle a shot. If you are interested in learning more, visit https://usetangle.com and sign-up! Thanks for reading! Feel free ask any questions and I will be sure to get back to you.

Attach multiple files from Google Drive

I'm starting to find the Google Drive integration more and more handy over time as a way to minimise local storage on my Mac. Where before I would save PDFs and photos directly in Evernote, I'm now saving things that don't require OCR in Drive. One irritating restriction is the fact that you can only attach one file from Drive at a time so it's really cumbersome to attach multiple files. Is there a specific reason why it isn't possible to select multiple files to attach from Drive?
  6. I would love to see Evernote have some Amazon Alexis/Echo Integration. That way I could ask questions in Echo and Evernote cold respond, or use Echo to create new notes or task lists etc. I could also ask Evernote to tell me what reminders I have due today or tomorrow etc. Alexa/Echo is becoming very popular and extremely usable device for home, work or the on move. I think it has a great future and Evernote needs to get in on it early. I am sure people here and the Evernote boffins can dream up all sorts of useful integrations. https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Echo-And-Alexa-Devices/
  7. Hello, I am working as a product analyst in leading OSS/BSS firm. We provide advanced software solutions and services to mobile operators around the globe. Currently, we are building a platform to integrate OTT services for Mobile Operators. As a part of this exercise, we want to add support for Evernote. We need your help to understand below points. What is the process for integrating Evernote with mobile operators? Any technical integration required between Evernote and mobile operator? What are the different business offerings can be supported? Please let us know if you know someone who can help us to understand these processes. If you can share any documentation related to this, that would be really helpful.
  8. My company utilizes Outlook 2007. I have used Evernote for many years and always had integration such as I could open an appointment and 'send to evernote' and it would open the note with all the appointment details in it and allow for me to document the call. I lost this integration and can't figure out how to make it work. Thanks
  9. I am trying to make better use of Google Drive and Evernote. I have noticed that attachments (from google drive) display differently depending on your device. For example images will display inline on the web, on windows and mac but on Ipad they are just a link. Could we request that all attachments have a choice of inline/preview or attachments just like any other attachments? Thank you Sev Evernote Community Leader

  12. Hi there The manual of Evernote says we can integrate mail from Outlook. What about G mail? The manual is silent about this matter. if possible, how we can integrate it? I would like to know whether possible or not. Thank you in advance.
  13. As there are multiple apps which integrate with Evernote (e.g. Trello), I want to be able to limit those to certain notebooks as I don't want apps to access all my data, only note I decide to explicitly share with them. This should be a decision done at access granting stage.
  14. Does Evernote have any plans to do as follows in some near and not far far away distant future? Allow to write sections in HTML or Markdown, and have the viewer interpret/render the section - look at Confluence's wiki product, it has the beauty to have plugins that allow to render whenever their own editor falls short, so people can format their text in more suitable ways. Proper code blocks with color coding according to type of context - simply look at how many only web editors support for multiple language code format: json, javascript, bash, perl, ruby, C++, C#, java, python, Go... - it is not just a code block it allows to format the the code in the proper color code (examples http://collabedit.com/ or https://jsfiddle.net/). 3rd party plugins that allow evernote to expand its capabilities - this is specially useful so Evernote's features can grow without always putting demands on the dev team. Anyone can tell me which of these are already available on the product? Thank you .
  15. I got myself a Neo Smartpen N2 (http://www.neosmartpen.com/en) this week, and I love it. Basically, It's a pen with a small camera in the tip - you write on their special paper, it transmits your strokes via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet, and their app (Android or iOS) records them into an image. The upshot is that you can take notes with pen and paper, and they end up in your device. Very cool, and very useful. Even better, it has the option to sync to Evernote. The sync is pretty basic - each NeoNote notebook becomes a notebook under a specifically named stack in EN, and each page becomes a note. You can edit the notes in EN (add text, tags, etc) and the embedded image will still update if you write more on the page. However, you can't move them or rename them without breaking the sync connection between the two apps. So it looks like they're doing a pretty basic integration via the EN API. What would be amazing is if the folks at EN and the folks at Neo got together to produce a much tighter integration. Some ideas I've had in the few days I've owned this device: In Neo, let me specify which EN notebook a specific Neo notebook syncs into. That's probably mostly on the Neo side.Have the sync be in a format that lets EN work with the strokes in either Skitch or something else. Maybe that means sending as SVG and EN making Skitch SVG-aware. Or maybe it means making EN aware of the Neo format. Or maybe Neo sends SVG and EN turns it into the same format it uses for its own handwritten notes. This would, of course, make it impossible to sync any more changes from Neo. But that's OK, because I envision doing this only once I've finished a note-taking session and now I want to mark up my notes by adding color, highlighting, and so on.Super-duper integration: Neo could make an EN-branded pen that talks directly to EN instead of talking to their own app. I'm not really interested in the Neo app, since I have EN, so why not cut out the middleman? So, EN employees, what do you think?
  16. I've had a lot of trouble getting IFTTT to work well with more than one Evernote note at a time. For example, if I set up an IFTTT trigger for to send notes with a particular tag into Trello, and if I add the tag to 15 Evernote notes (by selected them all and adding a tag in bulk across all of them), Evernote's API gives IFTTT an error message. I would like to sometimes send more than 100 Evernote notes at a time to certain places using IFTTT. Is there a way around the Evernote API restrictions so I can have IFTTT trigger on multiple notes, in bulk?
  17. Hello, I'd like to have clipping functionality from Postbox. I have seen some posts about it and the instructions which didn't help me get it working. I don't know if it was something that used to be available and isn't any longer? Anyone have a link with helpful instructions? Or care to share the steps on how to get it working? I'm working on Windows 10 x64. Cheers
  18. Hi everyone, I'm really excited to announce an app we have been working extremely hard on for the last year! The app is called Tuskify and can be found at https://www.tuskify.com. Tuskify is currently in beta and is an integration with Evernote that allows you to automate the way you organize your notes. For example if you regularly move notes with all checkboxes complete to your "Done" notebook, we can do that automatically for you. Tuskify allows you to check your notes for specific conditions. These conditions are called "Triggers", and when they occur one or more "Actions" that you specify are performed. In the example above, the trigger is the checkboxes being set to complete and the action is moving the note to the "Done" notebook. The trigger and action above form a "recipe" and a recipe can contain multiple triggers and actions. We are currently looking for a number of beta testers before we go public with this. If you are interested please sign up for a free 7 day trial by visiting Tuskify. We want to make this the best it can be so we want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly, including the cunning ways you found to break it! You can get in touch with us by: - using the Support form - emailing us directly at support@tuskify.com - direct message on this forum - tweeting us @Tuskify We aim to reply to all communication within 2 days, but please keep in mind that further investigation may be required which could take longer. Please be assured that we will reply to everyone's comments. We're excited to hear what you think! N.B. Recipes are run against notes that you create or update. For example, if you add a recipe that looks for notes with the word "testing" in the title, any notes that you then create or update with "testing" in the title will be picked up by this recipe. Time-based recipes are the exception to the above. Rather than being triggered by a created or updated note, these recipes are triggered by the passing of time, such as a reminder on a note becoming due.
  19. Google Drive files can be open by clicking attached ones. But its way is not the best for Evernote. As we can look at PDF files without clicking them, Google Drive files are looked at and edited as the same way. I would like to look at and edit Google Drive files directly in Evernote. Evernote must be the first and the last window to show and let us edit our data.
  20. Hi there, Today I was working in Evernote when I received a prompt (from Evernote app) saying something about my next meeting starting soon, & it asked if I wanted to create a new note for it. I wasn't really thinking so I just clicked OK. It created a new note with a bunch of meeting information autofilled (see attached screenshot). The weird thing is, this is the *only* time I've ever seen this happen and I can't replicate it. None of the other meetings on my calendar generate this prompt and nice template. The weirder part is that I don't even know what triggered that in the first place. It would mean Evernote would have to know the events on my calendar, and I checked my app connections and I have nothing connected. I thought maybe I had another app that was integrating, but I checked the same things in both my personal and work email accounts, my calendar apps, and confirmed I do not have any IFTTT recipes turned on that would do this. I'm totally stumped! I've attached Evernote's logs from the time frame but the specific event happened at 12:37pm. There's a line here that indicates when the new note was created, but doesn't really provide any insight as to what trigger it. 2016/02/09 12:37:01:889 I|* -[ENCommonEditorWebView openNote:] main | #0 | Open note [no guid]/p470 'Go over tickets' Any insight to this mystery would be appreciated. Ultimately I'd love to have this capability for all my meetings, which I know is possible with IFTTT, but since I don't have that, how is it happening?? Thanks! Evernote_453102_2016-02-10.txt

    other Organising Evernote for Students

This is my first post, hope I've posted in the correct section. So I've recently gotten into Evernote and its power I am a student. I would like to use Evernote to organise both school and personal stuff. For school, I have subjects like biology, physics, math, etc. Then I do some personal projects like programming and playing with my Raspberry PI, stuff like that. I want to use Evernote to organise them. I did it with a notebook for school and personal then using tags to organise, but I want to have a consistent layout in my task management app, which is Wunderlist, I use it extensively already and most of my tasks are on there. However it only allows me to organise tasks into folders which contains lists and I am unable to replicate my setup in evernote. I would like to be able to find individual projects. (I have many History projects and would like to go to them easily..) I also need a method to archive projects or at least organise the notes by year Can someone give me a suggestion? Thanks
  22. Thought I'd start this discussion in 3rd Party mostly to give those developers looking for ideas to develop into applications some inkling of areas that are not being addressed in EN, particularly for writers, researchers, academics, etc. So far, most developers are walking the well-worn path of getting information INTO EN, but few are working on organizing that data and getting it OUT of EN in ways that are useful in producing a written or visual product. I'm sitting on a treasure chest of 5500 notes, but they're a PITA to actually work with when producing product. I don't know if this is a weakness of the EN SDK for output or an oversight by developers. Once a person's notes are tagged pulled into a folder or stack, they are most difficult to organize and reorganize into Storyboards (corkboards) or Flowcharts. Yes, you can turn off automatic sorting, but clicking on a card pulls focus to that card and takes over the screen. If one is working on a draft in EN, you can copy, cut and paste the content of notes into your work, but you can't drag a small representation of that note onto the page you're working on. This would be particularly useful as a placeholder you flesh out an idea around or place two or more notes on the same page weighing which is the better quote. An A/B screen environment would be more than useful; your stack of notes (in free-form sort) on one side as cards, your draft on the other, where you could grab a note and drop it into your draft without losing focus on your draft. Maybe just better Scrivener integration is the answer. So, I see three or four features or products there. There are probably more rattling around in people's head.
  23. hi, Bewbee who LOVES evernote want to know what is the best app and/or solution to integrate with evernote tags? IFTTT Recepies? Powerapp from wunderlist? Other?? Need to have two way sync and work on "all" devices. Kind regards, Prime
  24. Does anyone know how to integrate Evernote Basic with SalesForce? Most of the documentation I find tries to get the user to upgrade to Evernote Business, but then I have seen other information that indicates that it should be possible to integrate the basic version of Evernote with SalesForce (ex: https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/23258452). We have an "Evernote Admin" tab, but all that says is You've successfully installed the managed package." and (again) tries to get us to sign up for Evernote Business. We have checked the Page Layouts for Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities and are unable to find any Evernote fields to add. Under the profiles we have set up, we also have Evernote for SalesForce.com checked under Custom App Settings, and still nothing appears for us to add an Evernote section to any of our pages. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  25. Like many people, I find myself opening zillions of tabs every time I do a new research project. Then I don't know what to do with them, and they clog up and slow down my browser for days at a time. There are many good solutions out there, like Session Manager, TooManyTabs, etc, but I prefer to keep everything in Evernote. What would be super-awesome would be a way to use the clipper to copy every tab URL in my current window to an Evernote note. Until that feature is introduced, I have come up with a pretty decent work-around: 1. Send Tab URLs. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/send-tab-urls/ This addon allows a list of open tabs, including titles and URLs, to be sent to the clipboard. Just go to Firefox's File menu to find the first step, choosing "Send Tab URLs" and then choosing the clipboard as your destination. After that, they can be pasted into a note. (If you have the Windows Evernote app running, you can simply do a Ctrl-Alt-v to paste to a new note.) Bonus: Send Tab URLs also saves the titles of the tabs. 2. Multi-Link Paste and Go https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/multi-link-paste-and-go/?src=api When I want to get a collection of URLs out of a note and back into the browser, I use this extension. Just copy the list of URLs (Ctrl-c) and then paste into Firefox's address bar using the special Ctrl-Shift-v command added by the extension, and each one will open in its own tab. Magic! It doesn't matter if non-URL text is mixed in--it will ignore the "garbage" and only open the URLs--so the titles inserted by Send Tab URLs won't hurt anything. You can even have miles of note text in there, and it won't mind. This means that a quick Ctrl-a (Select All) and then Ctrl-c (copy) will do the trick if you want to open every link in a note. Score! :-) If you prefer to use the mouse to get the URL list back into Firefox, there is an extension called URL Lister which will let you paste the list into a box. (Look under the Tools menu.) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/url-lister/ (URL Lister is also good for getting Tabs out of Firefox, but it doesn't list their titles, so Send Tab URLs might be preferable for that task.) Have fun!
