  1. After trying Evernote briefly in 2010 and abandoning it pretty quickly, I recently gave it another shot - and went Premium in under a month However, there is a major gap in my new reading-/workflow which I haven't been able to resolve: On my mobile, I read and highlight articles in an external app (Instapaper in my case), because reading in Evernote itself has several disadvantages (accidentally deleting text etc.). My problem is that I cannot save entire articles with passages highlighted to EN. When I send the Article to EN, highlights within the article are not retained. With EN Clearly, this works beautifully. So my question is: Is there a reading app which allows me to read and highlight on my mobile, then save the article to EN while retaining the highlights? Is there a good workaround? (I am aware that you can send and save just the highlights as clippings to EN, but highlights without context don't help me very much). Cheers! (My apologies if this has been answered before (I could not find anything on the forum, just articles dealing with saving the highlights as such), in this case I'd appreciate a pointer.)
  2. I have my Evernote and Instapaper accounts linked. So whenever I highlight something in Instapaper the highlight gets automatically imported to Evernote. The one feature I've been missing with this, though, is absence of a URL link to the source were the highlighted text comes from. Is there some way to make sure that the highlight get's imported to Evernote together with the link to the original article?
  3. Hello everybody! I am trying to learn to use Evernote for my blogging needs and one of the needs is to take notes of articles (mostly in the internet) and save the notes and the links on the Evernote. However it sounds so easy, the problem is this; I'm mainly working on mobile/tablet, and that is sort of really annoying kerfuffle to switch between two apps to read the article and take notes. So annoying - in fact - that I have written the notes on actual post-it-notes to avoid killing my home button from iPad. But like many of you know, those post-it's tend to get lost quite easily. So I was thinking what sort of third-party applications could help me out? I already checked out pairing Instapaper and Evernote via IFTTT (save underlined text as note-recipe), but the problem arises, when I have more than one underlining creating multiple notes from same article. I know this is bit harping on the issue, because it's almost what I am looking for, but it just doesn't work exactly how I want, so I was wondering if there is some solution to save all the notes at once, so I don't have to edit them in to one afterwards in Evernote.
  4. After some searching and not finding how to import all my existing instapaper articles I decided to work it out. Warning: This worked for me but use at your own risk. I can't see what might go wrong but you never know. Please note, depending on the amount of Instapaper items you may need a Evernote premium account if you wish to make all your articles synced. The script will parse each URL from your Instapaper account though Instapaper Mobalizer before adding it to your Evernote notebook to tidy things up a little. The page title of the website becomes the note title. I have included the details of the process over on my blog http://www.wikinixi.com/?p=148 but to summarise you do the following:- Export a CSV file of all your instapaper articles. Create a txt file containing all the URL's Run the text file through an applescript that will mobalize your articles before inserting in to evernote. Please let me know your thoughts.
