  1. I use Evernote daily & haven't encountered this problem before, but while typing additional details into a note, it suddenly started overwriting previous text. So now I can only type new text. I cannot go back and add to what's already there or correct a typo. It is not the "Insert" key doing this. As you click a letter to place the cursor there, it no longer blinks, it highlights the letter. Normally, if this happened by accident, simply hitting the left or right arrow keys would resolve this and you can type away. But this now only highlights the next or previous letter. This is extremely frustrating as well as time consuming & I don't know how to make it stop doing this. Did I accidentally turn this feature on or is this a glitch?
  2. All my notebooks are fully downloaded and with and iphone 7 and ipad 10.5 2017 some notes (maybe every fifth note) take 30 seconds to display. I just get a spinning circle in the middle of the note. Like I said every single notebook is fully downloaded and even if they weren't I just did a speed test and my connection is fast. Anyone else?
  3. In the past, I could easily edit sketches inside notes on my iPad Pro. but now, I can’t edit them any more. When I tap the sketch to edit it, it opens as an image. I can added Annotations, but that’s not the same as Editing a Sketch. the weird thing is, I can easily edit Sketches on my IPhone 6s, the same Sketches I can’t edit on iPad. I have a Premium EN. Any ideas what to do?
  4. Hello there! I would like to ask if there is a way to use an internal, office template for penultimate instead of default templates currently on the application?
  5. Hey all, we released Evernote for iOS version 8.8 to the App Store last night. Update: We released 8.8.1 to the App Store to address the issue with not being able to edit existing sketches. 8.8.1 Release Notes: Hotfix for issue where existing sketches/handwritten notes could not be edited in 8.8. 8.8 Release Notes: Advanced auto-formatting options (including code block and tables!). Go to Account > Settings > Notes Misc bug fixes and performance improvements: Fixes for top crash and sync issues Fixed an issue where lines made with Apple Pencil appear jagged Fixed an issue with quoted searches not returning exact results Fixed an issue with the note list briefly showing before PIN lock activates Fixed an issue where PDF thumbnails would appear greyed out in the note list on iOS 10 devices Thanks in advance for any feedback!
  6. How can I insert tables in Evernote for iOS? Is there a work around that would allow me to insert tables? Thanks!
  7. I would like to have a switch in the sharing extension for iOS that allows me to not only save a full web page but optionally the cleaned up version of that page instead. Just like the way you can save only the content of an article in the Mac browser extensions and not the litter (mostly ads or comments).
  8. Dear Evernote iOS development team, Please include nested tags / hierarchy into the iOS version! I finally made the move to become a premium user after discovering the the usefulness of tag nesting / hierarchy in organising notes on the Mac Evernote. Just about to port all my notes into evernote, then I realised the iOS version can't see the nested / heirarchy structure !! aagh and I've just paid for a whole year subscription ...bummer~ I understand there are tonnes of requests out there, but this seems to be a crucial notes organisation feature to be considered for inclusion? Please add this feature in line with the desktop apps please? My setup: Mac Evernote (on iMac) - for work at home iOS 8 Evernote (on iPad + keyboard) - for taking notes during work and conferences.
  9. Our entire office has been getting notifications that our "disk is almost full" on our Macbook Pros separately over the past month or two. During an EV chat this morning, we learned how to locate the Evernote database on our Macs. Across our 14 users, we have anywhere from 55GB to 92GB of storage being used by Evernote alone, which is at least 30% of our computer storage space. Could you please advise if there are any options to reduce the local storage size? Can any items be deleted locally and still function at full capacity? Can we localize data to a single office server? Is this something specific to Apple Macbooks? Was there a recent EN release that altered the back-up system? We have concerns about future company growth if this is our data files size already within 5 years.
  10. Whenever I open Evernote on my iPad, it shows "all notes." I don't like that. I want it to only show notes from my main notebook. I can change the view setting, of course, but Evernote changes it back to "all notes." Is there default view setting that I can adjust to fix this problem?
  11. I think that Evernote should add tables on the iOS app. I am a student and I use tables a lot with my pc, so I don’t understand why I can’t use them with my iPad when I am at school. They represent an incredible way to put things in order and I think they would improve the user experience a lot. Don’t you think so?
  12. I searched and didn't see this feature request. last night on the tube I selected some text and was nudged ... all the selected text was deleted I know I can go to the laptop app and recover - provided I pay for Premium - however surely an undo button would make sense. I hardly ever use my laptop so an in-app function would help
  13. (I'm not sure if this has been voiced out before - I havent done any backreading as I am still new in the forums) I noticed something lacking in Evernote (mobile) that I think was really important in writing. As a mobile Evernote user, I religiously rely on Evernote as my go-to notebook. Writing can be a breeze but sometimes editing can be really hard when you do not want to save your recent changes. I would love to see that the future updates would include UNDO CHANGES, SAVE & CONTINUE options. You can definitely undo in a web/desktop environment but you can't get much of a leeway with the mobile version. I do love Evernote(!) and I hope for better versions - featuring these two. Thanks!
  14. Hope to be able to create & edit table in iPad or even iPhone like what I can do in Mac.
  15. I use Evernote extensively on my Mac, iPad Pro, and iPhone. We use shared notebooks in my office and I have a ScanSnap Evernote Edition sitting on my desk. (I even have Evernote desk accessories sitting next to the scanner.) I'm pretty well immersed in the world of Evernote. However, I've found myself turning to other tools, most recently OneNote, with greater frequency. The main issue, and it is a big one for me, is the fragmented and inferior support for note taking and PDF editing in Evernote. I use my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil extensively. There are some great Pencil-compatible apps for iOS, including Notability, PDF Expert, and OneNote. Evernote, on the other hand, is stuck with a strange and fragmented approach: PDFs can by opened using the "Annotate" tool in Evernote, which I think is built around the remnants of Skitch. It's fine for adding arrows and icons, but terrible (unusable) for handwritten notes on PDFs. It really can't be used for anything more than simple highlighting -- certainly not detailed annotation or note taking. Drawings and notes can be added to an Evernote Note directly through the handwriting tool, but this simply inserts an image into the note. There's no way to use this tool to take notes over multiple pages, or to use it for annotation as far as I can tell. I've also found it to the buggy, with full pages of notes lost if you switch away from Evernote to another app before saving the image and returning to the normal notes view. I will say that that, though the tool is very limited, with very few options, the Pencil support works well and writing is fluid. This tool seems to have the most potential for future development. Finally, there is Penultimate -- a separate app I want to love but is just too buggy, too limited, and too walled off from the rest of Evernote to be truly useful. Again, no support for importing PDFs/annotation, yet another approach to handwriting, and, though the Penultimate notes live in Evernote, nothing can be done with them in the main app. Why, at this stage, would Evernote have three separate, incompatible and incongruous approaches to annotation/note taking, none of which begin to match the functionality of some of the other apps named? Attached PDFs can certainly be opened in other apps, such as PDF Expert, but there is no way to get the annotated PDFs back into an Evernote note without deleting the original attachment and reattaching the PDF. That's cumbersome, and annotation seems like pretty basic functionality that Evernote should offer. Evernote certainly has some broader advantages over OneNote, but really needs to explore something like the "canvas" style approach used by OneNote. The ability to "print" PDFs to a OneNote page and then markup the document itself and take notes/add text/etc. all on one page is invaluable. I've pretty much switched all note taking/PDF annotation to OneNote, with Evernote still used for project management and other organizational needs, which leaves me with my own fragmentation. Maybe I'm missing something in Evernote's approach, but I'm a longtime user that's completely frustrated with Evernote's inferior support for annotation and handwritten notes.
  16. Hello, When sorting notes by date created, the newest Notes show up at the top. When sorting by title, the sort order is reversed. I would like to request that short order be customizable. I use dates (in the format of 161203, for a note created today), in the titles of my notes, and it would be very useful to be able to see the newest notes at the top, not just the bottom.
  17. Good day, this feature request is so users can create tags from an iPad/iPhone's Evernote "iOS web clipper". If on an iPad/iPhone only a user's existing tags can be applied. The "no tags selected" input field does not permit keyboard entry. iOS screen pdf attached. Also very small video link supplied. This is greatly needed so clippings may be tagged at the time of creation. Evernote's iOS extension is missing the ability to create new customized tags for "clipped" items. Selecting the "tag field" should allow me to type a new tag. Just when I select the "tag zone" it does not accept input, you'll get moved to your existing tag list. Some things in the existing list might be desirable, but what if a relevant tag needs to be created? I've created a video (no download needed) which can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/etagios0105 For example: I do not have the tag "Cheese" in my current Evernote tags list. When trying to input Cheese, selecting the tag field removes the keyboard and takes me to my current list. Once at this list, there is no way to create a new "Cheese" tag. For Reference... 18. Presently once something is deleted using Evernote in iPhone, it’s quite hard to get it back! Accidental deletions frequently occur. I know we can SHAKE the device to make the undo button pop up. But this is very undignified in meetings or on public transport. Can we please have a little undo button instead which we can elegantly tap?
  19. Hello; I am a new User. Tried to search this out but didn't find what I was looking for. My apologies if it has been asked and answered in the past. I am trying to organise my patterns using Evernote. With each note, I want to include 2 photos. How do I get Evernote to display the one I want in the 'Cards' view? My first try, it showed the last photo taken, so I tried again, reversing my photos, and it still showed the wrong one. Secondly, once you have the photos, is there a way to select and delete one of them? thanks!
  20. How do I get my reminder alerts to appear on my iPhone? For other apps I set it in the notification center, but Evernote isn't listed. I'm using the latest version 8.0.4
  21. I just downloaded Evernote for iOS version 8.0.351713 and discovered that I can no longer sort reminders chronologically and can no longer truncate future reminders. Please return this functionality. Renner
  22. Hi there. Having searched the internet for a solution to my request, it's clear that this would be a really simple, well used feature. A simple button that inserts a time / date stamp would be fantastic, and encourage me to use evernote more. Loads are asking for it. PLEASE??! Thank you.
  23. I'm curious it is possible to instead of taking photos/scans, but leverage an existing photo in the camera roll as an input to Scannable to leverage it's scale/reshape tools. The application: I attend trade shows and find the presented powerpoints useful. The actual presentation materials are not physically shared with the audience, just projected. Sitting in the audience I take the photo and have a number of slides in my camera roll. The majority of these are trapezodial and would love to leverage scannable to reform the image like it would normally. Then take several of these images to produce an output PDF. Please let me know if this is possible. (or if anyone knows of a good app to take a set of photos of presented slides to reform and make a PDF.) Then I would love to save the OCR'd PDF to Evernote. Thanks, Daren
  24. Hi, I am currently developing an Journaling app with full Evernote Integration. This app took a lot of inspiration from vJournal and DayOne. Think of DayOne (or sort of) just build for Evernote. The App will be hopefully launching in May/June 2016. It would be very nice, if someone here could test the app or give me a real feedback. Even negative feedback is very appreciated. Features: 100% native iOS Application for iPhone, iPod, iPad and iPad Pro Very easy way to capturing from notes, pictures. Similar to social media tools like Twitter. Very much inspirited from vJournal. All journal Entries are combined to a day. No cluttered notes. The entries in a day are always sorted by time so you can later add note entries for past days Beautiful animated calendar Very easy access to all your recent photos. Used photos are check marked for convenience. Full native Apple Watch Integration. I love taking notes for journal on the go. Full offline support. Support for Google Places Fully editable Journal Pages Crop your photos before you attach them Links: WebSite improveyourday.cm Instagram https://www.instagram.com/theyourdayapp/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheYourDayApp
  25. I am using Evernote on Windows and the iOS version on my iPhone and iPad. Here is a problem I have been experiencing for quite a long time: I keep a small number of shortcuts to frequently used notes. Some of the shortcuts never change, some others I change daily. Whenever I add a new shortcut in the Windows version and open the iOS version some hours later, the recently added shortcuts disappear, while the shortcuts that have been around for a longer time are not affected. This behaviour can be reliably reproduced. I suppose it could be a timestamp problem in the sync process of the iOS version, maybe connected to the time zone I am in (UTC+1), because only recently added shortcuts are affected. Did anyone else also observe this behaviour?
