  1. This is close to my last straw with Evernote. Trying to save to Evernote no longer works on either iPhone or my iPad. Click save to on an article you want took save, click the Evernote icon from the range of resulting options, the little compass comes up, saving circle completes, the just stays in never ending saving. Nothing gets posted to Evernote. Amy help appreciated
  2. Would it be possible to make changes to the table format that would allow adjusting the row height? At present, table column width can be altered. The row height seems to locked and is much bigger than in the past. We have a form that was designed a couple years ago using tables. Unfortunately, some of those tables are no longer compatible with the upgrades that have transpired. The current row height takes up twice as much space as the old format and thus would make our forms very large and more difficult to use. Thank you for your support
  3. On Mac and iOS, for documents with many Skitch annotations, the annotation summary presents as a single page that includes only the first ~20 annotations. Is this a known problem?
  4. Dear Evernote iOS development team, Please include nested tags / hierarchy into the iOS version! I finally made the move to become a premium user after discovering the the usefulness of tag nesting / hierarchy in organising notes on the Mac Evernote. Just about to port all my notes into evernote, then I realised the iOS version can't see the nested / heirarchy structure !! aagh and I've just paid for a whole year subscription ...bummer~ I understand there are tonnes of requests out there, but this seems to be a crucial notes organisation feature to be considered for inclusion? Please add this feature in line with the desktop apps please? My setup: Mac Evernote (on iMac) - for work at home iOS 8 Evernote (on iPad + keyboard) - for taking notes during work and conferences.
  5. I downloaded the Scannable app from app store and try to log in to my Evernote account for saving pdf files, but failed several times getting "The service encountered an error. Please try again later" I have tried several times to remove the apps (scannable and evernote) and download them again but still doesn't help. Not sure if there's any setting problem that I didn't notice before or what? Phone: iPhone 7Plus Version: ios 11.2.5
  6. I use Evernote extensively on my Mac, iPad Pro, and iPhone. We use shared notebooks in my office and I have a ScanSnap Evernote Edition sitting on my desk. (I even have Evernote desk accessories sitting next to the scanner.) I'm pretty well immersed in the world of Evernote. However, I've found myself turning to other tools, most recently OneNote, with greater frequency. The main issue, and it is a big one for me, is the fragmented and inferior support for note taking and PDF editing in Evernote. I use my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil extensively. There are some great Pencil-compatible apps for iOS, including Notability, PDF Expert, and OneNote. Evernote, on the other hand, is stuck with a strange and fragmented approach: PDFs can by opened using the "Annotate" tool in Evernote, which I think is built around the remnants of Skitch. It's fine for adding arrows and icons, but terrible (unusable) for handwritten notes on PDFs. It really can't be used for anything more than simple highlighting -- certainly not detailed annotation or note taking. Drawings and notes can be added to an Evernote Note directly through the handwriting tool, but this simply inserts an image into the note. There's no way to use this tool to take notes over multiple pages, or to use it for annotation as far as I can tell. I've also found it to the buggy, with full pages of notes lost if you switch away from Evernote to another app before saving the image and returning to the normal notes view. I will say that that, though the tool is very limited, with very few options, the Pencil support works well and writing is fluid. This tool seems to have the most potential for future development. Finally, there is Penultimate -- a separate app I want to love but is just too buggy, too limited, and too walled off from the rest of Evernote to be truly useful. Again, no support for importing PDFs/annotation, yet another approach to handwriting, and, though the Penultimate notes live in Evernote, nothing can be done with them in the main app. Why, at this stage, would Evernote have three separate, incompatible and incongruous approaches to annotation/note taking, none of which begin to match the functionality of some of the other apps named? Attached PDFs can certainly be opened in other apps, such as PDF Expert, but there is no way to get the annotated PDFs back into an Evernote note without deleting the original attachment and reattaching the PDF. That's cumbersome, and annotation seems like pretty basic functionality that Evernote should offer. Evernote certainly has some broader advantages over OneNote, but really needs to explore something like the "canvas" style approach used by OneNote. The ability to "print" PDFs to a OneNote page and then markup the document itself and take notes/add text/etc. all on one page is invaluable. I've pretty much switched all note taking/PDF annotation to OneNote, with Evernote still used for project management and other organizational needs, which leaves me with my own fragmentation. Maybe I'm missing something in Evernote's approach, but I'm a longtime user that's completely frustrated with Evernote's inferior support for annotation and handwritten notes.
  7. I searched and didn't see this feature request. last night on the tube I selected some text and was nudged ... all the selected text was deleted I know I can go to the laptop app and recover - provided I pay for Premium - however surely an undo button would make sense. I hardly ever use my laptop so an in-app function would help
  8. At the bottom of a note, please add virtual scroll space from the content so it is easier to 'click and type' more content. This would be especially useful on iOS; placing the cursor just past the last line of text can be maddeningly frustrating, and (when I remember) I will just hit return several times to give myself buffer at the end of the note.
  9. I just downloaded Evernote 8.0.351713 for iPhone and discovered that I have lost the Atlas (or Map) feature. This was one of my favorite features of Evernote and now it's no longer available on any platform. It used to be available on both iOS and Windows and now neither.
  10. Story: "As a user, I want to easily switch between existing Evernote accounts, on my iOS devices, so that I can easily access notes from several accounts without having to share or mix them in the same account." Acceptance Criteria: - From the Evernote iOS app for iPhone or iPad, users can add multiple account credentials - New account credentials are stored on the device - Users can select an account already added to switch to that account. - Users can delete account that they want to remove from the device. - Removing accounts from the device removes them from the list of accounts and deletes all the associated data. - Supports a mix of accounts using varying authentication schemes; single and 2-phase authentication/ Please update, and or supplement .. Thanks Erick Crowell,
  11. Hi all, Evernote 8.24 is now available on the App Store. Feel free to share any feedback! New: -Remember when you were a kid, anxiously counting down the days until your birthday? That’s how we feel waiting for iOS 13. For now, we’re busy tweaking the app to get ready for all the cool new features.
  12. Something I often need to do: annotate a PDF on my iPad with my pencil so I can send it back to someone, for instance a form I need to fill. Being a good evernote user, I naturally want to do this through evernote. However, when I attempt to do it right now, this is what happens: I select the note with the PDF within I tap on the PDF, it opens and fills the screen I reach for the pen and attempt to write on the PDF -- the PDF moves instead. Evernote thinks I'm just using the pencil instead of my finger to move around the PDF. Not good. I tap the "annotate" button up right. The PDF re-opens in a somewhat different layout (why ?) Using the pen, I attempt to write on the PDF -- the PDF moves instead. Not good. I select the "pen" tool: I first tap the "arrows" icon at bottom-right, then I tap the "pen" icon. I finally can annotate the PDF. In total, once the PDF is opened on screen I need to tap three things (annotate->arrows->pen) before I'm able to annotate the PDF. Instead, as soon I put the pen on the screen Evernote could assume that I'm trying to write on the PDF. I imagine that it's the main reason why people would use their pencil on screen. That change would save me three taps and two confusing user experiences when I end up moving around the PDF with my pen (twice in very short succession). In addition: the pencil annotation engine is weak, it has trouble following you when you write too fast (PDF expert has no problem) so your writing often ends up hard to understand. It is just not an enjoyable experience overall so I generally try to avoid it (even though I want to use Evernote) when you are in annotation mode and writing with the pencil, you can't just flip pages using your finger -- Evernote thinks you want to annotate the PDF with your finger as well. I know you can use both fingers but at the point when you remember it you often have already drawn lines over the PDF with your finger (that you need to undo). It seems pretty safe to me to assume that if you are annotating a PDF with your pencil and suddenly you use your finger it means you're trying to change the page. Again PDF expert does this right. If you close the PDF and open another one in annotation mode, the tool selection goes back to "move" instead on staying on the last-used "pen". Confusion again. My suggestions would be: at least when the user enters annotate mode switch back to the last used tool. in annotate mode, if the user is using a pencil to annotate, finger taps should move the PDF around if the user taps an opened PDF with the pencil, switch to annotate mode with the pen tool selected.
  13. Sometime recently, my iphone has simply stopped uploading photos to Evernote. I use the Document Photo feature a lot, and recently whenever I do it I see the following: New photo note Take a pic Hit "Done" Edit the note to add a title and tags. Then, the note seems to get stuck with the green upload arrow, and never finished. I can see a note with the same properties on my Macbook, but the image is just a giant blank. The image loads fine on my iPhone, but seems to never actually upload. I've tried it multiple times with multiple notes to no success. I just installed the ios evernote update (June 11, 2018 9:56:50 PM) and see no improvement. Anyone else experiencing this?
  14. There were no updates of Penultimate for a year now although there are lots of open issues: Insufficient support for Apple Pencil: It is still possible to leave marks with the hands. The input should be Pencil only - like it is in GoodNotes - to avoid any unwanted marks. Leaving the app (to the homescreen, to another app) and going back will bring you always to another page of the current note. Very annoying! Lasso cut & paste leaves marks. But on the other hand the functionality of Penultimate is not integrated fully in Evernote. So is there any future for Penultimate? Will there be any further updates? With the new iPad Pros and iOS 11 Apple Pencil became essential for note taking. As a subscriber of Evernote Premium I would like to know what is the answer of Evernote to this development.
  15. Hi there, You can print from within the Evernote App for iOS. To do this: 1. Open a the note you want to print and tap on the 'Share' icon: 2. From the 'Share Note' screen, tap on the Shareable link icon: 3. This will bring up the iOS Sharesheet. From there, tap on 'Print': 4. This should then take you to the print preview where you can select the desired printer, and then print the note: Hopefully this helps, and feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any other questions!
  16. Would love to be able to edit notes created date in iOS. I scan my notes and don't always scan them on the dates I write them and like to have the date created and the note date match for sorting purposes.
  17. I'm curious it is possible to instead of taking photos/scans, but leverage an existing photo in the camera roll as an input to Scannable to leverage it's scale/reshape tools. The application: I attend trade shows and find the presented powerpoints useful. The actual presentation materials are not physically shared with the audience, just projected. Sitting in the audience I take the photo and have a number of slides in my camera roll. The majority of these are trapezodial and would love to leverage scannable to reform the image like it would normally. Then take several of these images to produce an output PDF. Please let me know if this is possible. (or if anyone knows of a good app to take a set of photos of presented slides to reform and make a PDF.) Then I would love to save the OCR'd PDF to Evernote. Thanks, Daren
  18. Is there any hope of getting the ability to change font/test sizes/colors on iOS? There were people in 2012 pointing out that this feature was lacking and here we are in 2015 and we still don't have it. This is a pretty core need and it really surprises me that EN does not support it, given that it is supported on web and desktop.
  19. I found a pretty nasty bug that I can recreate: Create a new note on my iPad. Tap the pen to use my Pencil to hand write some notes. Don't hit "Done" when finished, instead switch to a different app (i.e. Mail to look up something. It really doesn't matter which app). Go back to Evernote, and the handwriting is gone… it's a blank new note. Cry.
  20. Hi all, Evernote for iOS was released on 8/21 to the App Store. As always, we welcome any feedback. Fixed: - Occasionally, images you'd captured with your device's camera wouldn’t show up when you opened a note. They were there all along, but now you’ll be able to see them too. - We also fixed some specific issues that were causing the app to misbehave.
  21. My iPad is stuck in a loop of sign in to iTunes popup. A hard restart does not fix this. As far as I know my only option is to do a RESET after backing up my ipad to the mac, which I know how to do. After reset I will have the mac fetch everything from iTunes , including EN. 1. Will my ipad get the EN app version that I currently have, which is 5.7 or thereabouts? 2. Will my ipad get my EN data or will I need to get that from my EN cloud account? thanks
  22. Regardless if using a stylus or Apple Pencil, it would be extremely useful to be able to extend the drawing area in all directions (left, right, up down) and create more space for drawing. It is too small today and I can't fit everything I need into a single screen sized drawing.
  23. Hello everyone, Evernote for iOS 8.22 is available in the App Store. Thank you in advance for your feedback! Fixed: - Bug fixes and performance improvements = the name of our new band
  24. Could we have an editor for the created/modified dates on the iPad, like we do on the desktop app? Thanks for considering! g.
  25. I'm a relatively new Evernote user and have been very pleased so far, except for one major shortcoming (at least in my humble opinion). There is no EASY way to access tags in the app. Yes, I can search, and yes, that works fairly well. But the one thing that would completely solve the problem would be to add a quick way to access the tag list on the home screen of the app. As it currently stands, under the top icons there is a space for Notes, Notebooks, and Work Chat. I would like to add a space for Tags under Notebooks and before Work Chat. Ideally I would also be able to remove the Work Chat section. I don't use Evernote in a collaborative way, so this is just wasted space. Thanks for "listening" to my request!
