  1. Hello. I'm a premium Evernote user. One of my main uses of Evernote is to make lists of websites or articles I find useful in a single note as multi level bulleted lists and linking them to their URL so it's easily clickable. This is very easy to do in the Desktop and Web app using the Ctrl+K shortcut or the Add Link button. But the Android app doesn't have an option to add hyperlink to a word or a sentence. This is a very basic function and should have been easy to implement even on Android. I'm posting this forum post from my phone and even this text box has a link option but the Evernote app doesn't! I would request the Android developer team to consider it. A simple button beside the Bold, Italic buttons at the bottom to add a hyperlink would be very useful. Thanks.
  2. Example (see image below): The green links allow me to navigate within the Evernote app. The blue public links allow friends to navigate easily between notes that I have made public. The issue: I find it tedious to insert both links. Non-Evernote users who I share notes with are confused by the difference between the green & blue links Proposed solutions: Offer an option to automatically insert both the blue and green links at the same time, or Offer an option to insert a link that works both in the app and for the public. An icon could be used to indicate which links are publicly accessible.
  3. I think I have found a bug in the EN note editor on Windows. The procedure to reproduce is: Highlight the text of a previously-created hyperlink, either with [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+K or by right-clicking and select 'Edit hyperlink' Paste the new link in the dialog and click OK. The previous text is replaced with the new hyperlink. Windows 10 64-bit Home version 1607 Build 14393.51 Evernote v6.4.2.3788
  4. please help me people! i used to be able to add a hyperlink to copy, now it erases the link text and pastes the hyperlink in its place: Yahoo is now http://yahoo.com it works here, but not in my notes. PLEASE HELP ME FOLKS!
  5. I use Evernote a lot on my phone and wish I could insert hyperlinks into my notes. I don’t want an entire URL pasted into my notes, but hyperlinked to a keyword or phrase.
  6. I was wondering if something like this weblink can be created using Evernote http://ashtadhyayi.com/sutraani/6/1/113 Formatting is not an issue, i am sure it can be created like that. what I really wanted to know if there is a way to automate hyperlinks like numbers in [Square Brackets ] are hyperlinked. I have about 6000 notes. If there is a way to assign alias to each note and that alias can be used to create hyperlink. I have lot of time invested in Evernote and want to know if it is even possible. Currently I copy a note and insert wherever I need hyperlink to that one. But it is very tedious and chances of error a very high.
  7. Hey there - apart from loving everything there is so far - I'd love to see tthe possibility to drag&drop notes (eg. from the secondary column) into any other note by creating an internal or (proper perma- ) hyperlink to the note,... so I can make shortcuts to different To-Dos for different projects (notes or notebooks) )and funnel them into another note. It actually works when you drag & drop a note into "itself" - the same note only tho,...... however - it would be killa to implement a short "mouse-down" and make the notes "drag & droppable" into other "notes",....... hope you get what I am trying to get across anyhow,.... U RULE !
  8. I am using Evernote version 5.4.3 . A while ago (perhaps before some upgrades), whenever I copied and pasted a text from the web onto a note, the web address would get automatically pasted underneath the text. This no longer happens. Now I have to go back to the web page and manually copy and paste the URL onto Evernote. How do I get this feature?
  9. Forgive me if this is posted elsewhere, but I recently updated to Evernote 6.2, and I can no longer find the hyperlinks for notes that were clipped from the web! They used to be at the top of each clipped note, next to or slightly below the tags... now I can't find them! That hyperlink has been phenomenally useful when writing research papers... all I had to do was click on the hyperlink, which took me right back to the website and page I had clipped, and from there I could make my citations. Am I missing something? Mac OS (Yosemite), Evernote 6.2 Barbara
  10. Evernote no longer hyperlinks URLs when entered in a note. Please fix Screencast: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6v2o34eel50mxk8/Evernote%20hyperlink%20bug.mov?dl=0 Version 6.0.3 (451151 Direct)
  11. When I click a hyperlink for an email address in Evernote, it automatically opens my hotmail app to send from. I want to use gmail to send from. Using Windows 8. Thanks
  12. It seems that you can no longer hyperlink text in web beta (see screenshot)? For all I remember it's just there when you highlight text. Or has it moved elsewhere?
  13. If possible create the ability to create hyperlinks (or bookmarks) from note to note, based on note ID.

  15. I am using Evernote with no problem except a printing issue. Wondering if anyone has a suggestion for this: When I print a note via Windows with networked printer, the printed copy shows abnormal underlines (for example with any hyperlinks or underlined note content) --- the underline prints on top of the word so it appears to be a strikethrough. Can't read and can't figure out how to remove the underlines. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!
  16. Hi, I have always used both Springpad and Evernote.... It seemed springpad did a lot of things better/easier, so I split my allegiance between the two. Now that Springpad is leaving I converted everything to Evernote but for the life of me can not figure out a couple of things. The first is I always saved my bookmarks in Springpad ... when they converted I see the underlined url... but when I click it nothing happens. I even tried to create new bookmarks and they don't seem to work either. What am I missing??? I was using latest firefox switched to chrome did not have any effect. I am running windows 7 , malware popup blocker antivirus. Also... I use to use Springpad for my Grocery List. I have tried for 10 days to figure out how to show / hide checked items on my shopping list. Finally gave up and switched to Google Keep for those lists. I still would like to know how to see or not see checked items if anyone knows how. Thanks, Debbie
  17. Hi, does anyone know how to clip notes without having the brackets added to the hyperlinks? When using Evernote webclipper in chrome with a mac notes that have hyperlinks now have brackets after each link with ascending numbers eg '[#1]', '[#2]', '[#3]' and so on after each link. The addition of brackets at the ends of links is a fairly recent happening to my notes and I haven't changed the hardware or software my end. Thank you ahead of time.
  18. I've often pasted snippets of emails or tweets from twitter into Evernote to save for later. The text is usually plain text, not html, but often contains hyperlink URLs. It has always linkified them for me, so when I retrieve the note later, I can tap/click the link to go visit it. I'm normally placing these into Evernote on my Android app and retrieving them from the Mac app. There was an update to the app (both on Mac (now 5.1.3) and Android (now 5.1.1)) recently, and since that update, I'm getting links linkified in the Mac version probably about a quarter of the time, but most of the time it doesn't link them, and I have to actually copy/paste them to the browser instead of clicking. These same notes show up with the links linkified in the Android app. Any idea what's up?
  19. Can anyone offer a suggestion. When I copy in a web address and then hyperlink it (as it doesn't bring it straight across) and then Print the doc. using PDF creator or send it to an email, it is putting a line right through my hyperlink (rather than under it). Thanks Jessie
  20. Good afternoon Evernote team. I really need to communicate to you certain illogical, possibly buggy behaviour which I found hugely annoying. Firstly, I use note hyperlinks intensively in my research. Like other users, I try to construct wiki-style repository of my knowledge. The client does very little to facilitate this approach- which is very disappointing, but excusable. However, my typical workflow is as follows: (Please note the specific mouse clicks and keyboard input) 1. While editing a note, realise it needs a hyperlink to related note. 2. Click on search field and type a query, searching for related note. 3. Once desired note appears in results, right click on list entry and choose Copy Note Link My goal now is to go back to the first note, to paste the link. Using history to do so should be straightforward. However, during dynamic search, every top result which has appeared WHILE TYPING has entered the history. Often it is the same thought entering history multiple times and clogging history list! The first note is thus burried uder 5-10 notes which I never explicitly clicked on, or edited. It gets worse. I then try to use history list by long-clicking back button. Even if I still find and click first thought's history entry (skipping all search-induced entries) Evernote does not send me the the first thought! It sends me to first thought from search results. This is not an expected behaviour. It gets worse. If I mispell a word while searching and results' list is empty- it deletes the whole history, meaning I need to do yet another search just to get back to where I started. Please, I urge you to fix this behaviour. Search results should NOT be automatically entering note history. There is no typical use scenario when this behaviour would be in any way helpful. Thank you for consideration.
