  1. I have my Evernote and Instapaper accounts linked. So whenever I highlight something in Instapaper the highlight gets automatically imported to Evernote. The one feature I've been missing with this, though, is absence of a URL link to the source were the highlighted text comes from. Is there some way to make sure that the highlight get's imported to Evernote together with the link to the original article?
  2. When will the bug that doesn't allow text that I highlight or text that I underline to print that way be addressed? This has been going on for a number of versions now and I would think that this would be a simple fix? Is it being looked into?
  3. When I search for a text inside the image note using search icon on the right-top - it doesn't find anything --> it doesn't work. I've consulted this with the support team and this is not a bug - this functionality is missing in the iOS app. It works perfectly on the Web app or the Desktop app - but not in iOS. If I use global search from the main screen and if I have a note with dozens of images, it's almost impossible to find the correct image with the highlighted text without having possibility to do "find next/previous". For the Evernote rep, here is the support ticket# 1602334
  4. Highlights is a Mac utility for extracting PDF annotations and converting them to portable formats (Markdown, HTML) or archiving them in Evernote. When you open a PDF in Highlights the highlighted text, comments and image selections are extracted. If it is a journal article, the app fetches metadata for it automatically and embeds it in the PDF. You can then open the neatly formatted highlights in Evernote directly as regular notes (ENML-files). This way, you can have a PDF library on disk and an easily searchable summarized archive in Evernote. Highlights can also be used for working with PDFs and notes in sync. You can highlight text and select images in the PDF, have them extracted in real-time and then add comments to the extracted highlights and have them synced back to the PDF as PDF comments. To simplify literature reviews, Highlights will lookup references you underline in the PDF and link them if possible. For more information check out the website highlightsapp.net. The app is available in the Mac App Store for 9.99$, but I have some promo codes to share with you, so grab them while their hot: http://tokn.co/4q8bpq6c http://tokn.co/3nszfkjxhttp://tokn.co/cjbgyx2whttp://tokn.co/psu68yq2http://tokn.co/r2zct9u9
  5. web How Can I Export Highlights?

HI, I love the highlighter feature of the web clipper, but once I've highlighted lots of text in various notes, how can I export those highlights into a text file? I currently use the free version of Evernote, but would be willing to upgrade if the Premium includes that feature.
  6. Hello dear Evernote users! I have just started to figure out the ins and outs of Google Books and I have come to love it. Only thing is I want to be able to take notes, make highlights and screenshots directly into Evernote. Is this possible in some ways? Do you have any work-arounds with this? I tried googling, but found nothing. Thank you! Fredrik
  7. After trying Evernote briefly in 2010 and abandoning it pretty quickly, I recently gave it another shot - and went Premium in under a month However, there is a major gap in my new reading-/workflow which I haven't been able to resolve: On my mobile, I read and highlight articles in an external app (Instapaper in my case), because reading in Evernote itself has several disadvantages (accidentally deleting text etc.). My problem is that I cannot save entire articles with passages highlighted to EN. When I send the Article to EN, highlights within the article are not retained. With EN Clearly, this works beautifully. So my question is: Is there a reading app which allows me to read and highlight on my mobile, then save the article to EN while retaining the highlights? Is there a good workaround? (I am aware that you can send and save just the highlights as clippings to EN, but highlights without context don't help me very much). Cheers! (My apologies if this has been answered before (I could not find anything on the forum, just articles dealing with saving the highlights as such), in this case I'd appreciate a pointer.)
  8. 1st, I wonder if Evernote is the right tool of the trade at all. Or what other apps can do this for me for free? Instapaper is almost perfect except it allows only 5 highlights a month(!!!) for free users. That will not cut it for me. I downloaded the Web Clipper and the Clearly add-ons to my browser but frankly, it is not intuitive how I should proceed. The ultimate goal is to read on mobile devices, Android and iOS, but I guess it should work first on the desktop/in the web equally. Finally, hello everyone!
