A quick search shows me this has been discussed in different forms over the years, but can I just add that I would absolutely love to have CSS-like styles that I can define and then apply with a click from a dropdown menu? It's really tedious having to select a header in a note then pick a font size/face/other attributes. I have no consistency for between notes because I can't memorize the size, whether it was bold or not, etc. Most paid Evernote features are irrelevant for me, but I would pay for the ability to format whole notes with colors, fonts, sizing, whatever. Thanks.
After a bit of Googling, I am unable to find any official documentation regarding hotkeys or any other sort of convenient formatting for the new web product. Mainly what I'm looking for is an easy way to use Header styles for organization without having to manually change font-size, font-color, or any other manual change that would have to be remembered to keep it consistent across notes and time. Whether this is through something like Markdown or some in-house method doesn't matter: so long as it's possible. This is in part a bit of a revival of a past request from the old product forums:
Hello, One thing that almost pulled me away from Evernote to Dropbox Paper was the left railing which shows all H1 and H2 titles as a table of contents which I can quickly scroll through for a high level view of my notes, and use to quickly navigate to sections of the note. Google Docs has this as well with their 'outline' tool. It's not a new concept and I'm surprised it's missing from Evernote. It would help in reducing the number of notes I need to create just to divide things up nicely -- especially for large, more serious documentation. Thanks for your consideration! Hi All, I have many, many notes, approx 20,000, having been using everntoe since about 2007. A lot of the notes are image based, including many screenclips taken from my pc, often without a note title. I find the thumbnail that is shown in the header in snippet view very useful on my nexus 4,. The problem I have is that not many of the thumnails are showing in the headers. They seem to load up as a I scroll past the snipetts slowly, but only when I'm online- suggesting the thumbnail is being downloaded as I scroll past it. I thought the thumbnail was supposed to download when evernote is syncing, with the header. Is there a way I can get it to download all the thumbnails for all the headers (all the note titles are currently there, just missing thumbnails). I've tried repeatedly pressing the sync button, and leaving it for ages, but it doesn't seem to do the job. Thanks!
