  1. Hello! Contacting the developers. Why not add two additional functions. 1.There may insert the current GPS position (and a link to it) in the body note . 2. The ability to insert the current date in the body note .
  2. Hi there, We’ve seen questions from users asking how to adjust the location services and GPS settings in Evernote for Android. If you’re looking to disable location services and GPS tagging to notes within the Evernote Android application: Tap the options (three dots) button in upper right hand corner Tap Settings> Notes Uncheck the ‘Add location to new notes’ option (This will automatically disable the ‘Auto-title using location’ feature) If you want to keep location services enabled, but don’t want the location to be used in automatically in the title, simply uncheck Auto-title using location Note: If you notice the option, Add location to new notes is greyed out, you’ll need to enable the GPS on your device. To enable the GPS on your device within your Android Settings: (Note: Its possible the steps above may not be the correct steps for your specific Android device. If you are having trouble locating your device's location settings you may need to Google your device's location settings for more accurate steps) 1. Open the Settings application on your Android device 2. From the Location tab, turn on your device's GPS/location services. Once GPS is enabled, you should be able to adjust the Add location to new notes settings. If you have any other questions/issues regarding location services, please feel free to open a discussion thread, open a support ticket, or reach out to Shane D. directly via DM.
  3. Hi All, I have noticed under iOS 8.12 and at least the previous version that my notes do not always save the GPS location coordinates. I have travelled recently to two different countries, one where I had rooming and one without. In both cases, some notes had the location saved whereas others had not saved the coordinates even though I made sure to click on the “information” button and verify a pin was dropped (either on a downloaded map or empty one). This is annoying and surprising as the only good thing at the beginning of version 8 was that all my notes had their coordinates correctly saved. Has someone else noticed that? Regards, David
  4. Please return the "Atlas" functionality back to Evernote. And please add the ability to filter on the built-in search functionality. One of my primary uses of Evernote was to save location-based notes so that it was easy for me to map my travels and be reminded of where I went and what I did when I returned to a city.
  5. Someone mentioned on the Forums that there was an extraction of GPS info in a photo to geo code the note itself. I picasa'd & google earth'd a .jpg so that GPS information was embedded. I assume it does this correctly. Windows properties indicate GPS information is there. I tried adding the image as directly as possible. Right clicked on image and said "open with" evernote. Evernote opened and added a note with the image. No location for this note in atlas. I assume I can't select a group of "boxes" notes and drop them in atlas. Any ideas? IFTTT? only with the android app can a image be geocoded? The basis of this is too have a location of my storage boxes....in the garage, in the barn, basement.... I have taken pictures of the innards of the boxes and use a labler. voice in the text of contents and subject line it "Box 34" for example. If I could add a picture of the barn gps'd or group geocode in picasa then add ....oh it's complicated. But you get the drift.... http://www.evernote.com/shard/s5/sh/7149b94e-5bdd-4a36-9537-8a76daded4a9/1e5bb4ebe5e3538e82ee585588cc5481
  6. I think this would be an amazing feature for all user (but especially GTD entusiasts!!!)
  7. I'm really happy with the reminders in evernote. But a few days ago, I have been tested google keep and their option to trigger reminders by location. This makes reminders much more useful and intuitive. Google keep is very limited in editing and sorting but this little feature is amazing. Hope to see something similar in a future evernote version. Hope this request hasn't been made bevor.I didn't find something similar.
  8. i often take photos that i would rather save in EN rathen than in the iphone's camera roll. in the past, when i want to put several photos into the same note, i have always emailed the first photo into EN so that the gps metadata gets parsed into the note. then i wait a bit for the email to get transfered and processed and then open the note in the ios client and add the rest of the photos. the new share extension in ios 8 is very useful because it lets me add a bunch of photos to a single note in just one go, however, when i do the gps data from the photo is not incorporated into the note. the gps data for the note is blank in that case. not sure if this is an oversight (as in a bug) or if it should be a feature request, but either way, i imagine everyone sending photos into EN from the camera roll via the extension would want the location of the phot to also be recorded into EN.
  9. EDIT: Found the solution, there's a little globe button you can click after you click on places, it shows the exact locations.. You can also get directions if you click the note, click the 3 vertical dots, click note info, then click on the location. Hi, I'm a new evernote user and from what I can tell it will be perfect for me. The only thing it's lacking is specific location information. I'm a travelling salesman and would like to be able to place a pin on a map at any location (such as a farmer's house) so I can remember where they live. Then later when I'm back in the area I would like to be able to view a map and see all the pins in the area so I know who to go see. Is this possible? So far all I can figure out how to do is place a pin on a map, but it seems to save the location as the nearest town instead of the specific coordinates I selected on the map.
  10. Dear all, I like to use Evernote to mark a location using geotag on my iPhone / iPad. I know how to view the location / maps for the notes using Evernote apps, but may I know how to start navigating to that location using built-in Google Maps. I already try to look around but seen can't find the solution. Appreciate any help this issue. Thanks in advance.
  11. So I was used Evernote to record a location one day, because apparently it has that capability on iOS. However, when I went to get that location again so I could set my GPS to go there - well, it was rather useless. Sure, it had marked the location on the map, but there seemed to be no way of getting something like the coordinates that I could easily plug into my GPS. Is there something that I'm missing? What's the point of storing a location you can't really retrieve?
  12. It just dawned on me that my notes may potentially reveal my geographic location/location history when we share them. In testing the public links, location isn't shown within the browser, but what if we were to "Save to Evernote"? Does anyone have knowledge on this?
  13. I've started using Skitch to annotate photographs for work. I assess roads/tracks etc and find it useful to take a snap and then annotate it with my notes. Previously, I was using Phonto, but when the image is exported from the app, the GPS data is stripped, which makes the image worthless. I had hoped that Skitch would retain the data. Currently, this is what I can achieve; 1. Use the iPhone Camera app to take a photo, import that photo, annotate and save back to the camera roll. I now have two photos, one with GPS data and no annotation and the other with annotation and no GPS data. This is cumbersome. 2. Use the camera application within Skitch to manage all my photos and annotations, but I cannot export photographs to the Camera Roll or other means with GPS data embedded. This is vital for reporting etc and would be the preferred solution. I have checked all the Privacy Data - Location Settings are On with the little GPS arrow present next to Skitch and in the Photo menu under Privacy, Skitch is listed and 'On.' Any advice would be appreciated. I was playing with Run Keeper today and note that photos taken within the Application retain their GPS data on the iPhone's Camera Roll. This didn't use to be the case, so its a possibility that Skitch can do this. Thanks and regards
  14. Please consider adding the following features for android: A way to add the current GPS location into the note as text. A way to add the current timestamp as text. Thank You!
  15. Hello EverNote community. I am a new user and am evaluation EverNote for my sound business. I feel it is a great value and am planning on subscribing as soon as I decide it it will meet my workflow needs. I am trying to use EverNote to take notes about my location when I am out creating ambiance recordings for sound effects projects. I often walk several miles and stop when I discover something that I want to record. I currently have to type the location into a note and then start typing my comments about the sound and the location. Is it possible to have EverNote drop the current GPS location into the note as text? Also is it possible to create a current time stamp as text? It might look something like this: 08:41:33 36.180216,-115.036493 Out front of a Greek Restaurant Distant Traffic Distant bird Song NT4 Microphone ETC..... Any Help will be greatly appreciated. KrohTech
