  1. I am using Galaxy S3 and I wanted to make a selected text bold. So I have selected the text by highlighting it, and then pressing the bold button. Instead of making the selected text bold, it actually deleted the text. Same applies to underline or making the text italic. Anyone having the same problem? Please advise. Thanks
  2. http://blog.evernote.com/blog/2014/03/05/handwriting-arrives-evernote-android/ (emphasis mine) Maybe I missed something but can you actually take handwritten notes while recording audio notes at the same time? How? I am able to record audio but then I have to back out of that while drawing the diagrams/charts in lecture. I am also able to type notes on my galaxy note while audio is recording, but that doesn't help with the figures. It wastes time to have to carry a separate notebook just to copy the figures down, and then later go back and scan them into the note. Handwriting would be useful if I could actually record the professor's lecture while drawing the diagrams into the note. If I have to pause/stop the audio recording while drawing - that sort of defeats the purpose. A lot of the time the diagram is being changed as he draws and having his explanation recording simultaneously with my copying the diagrams down is really important to understanding the material. If I have to pause/stop audio, in order to copy the figures, I've missed the explanations, which bring sense to the figures. And with how fast he talks + erases/redraws, there's no way to copy both the figures & the explanation so audio recording is very important.
  3. A version of Evernote that supports input from Android stylus devices (such as the Galaxy Note range), has to be a killer app. S-Note is fine, but I personally end up "sharing" my notes back out to Evernote as PDFs. I really hope that this is on the roadmap it would seem to make so much sense.
  4. I got a new phone, a Galaxy Note II, last week and it seems this phone always opens Evernote on the "All Notes" page. I've tried to figure out if this is new or a glitch but if anyone has had this happen I'm interested in hearing how to change this. I'd either specify a different place or where I left it last which is what my tablet and last phone did. I have deleted and re-installed Evernote, but that did not succeed.
  5. I have both a Galaxy note phone and a galaxy note 10.1 tablet despite one screen being 5 inches and the other being 10, they both have exactly the same screen resolution 1280 x 800, but Evernote looks very different on both these devices! There is no reason I couldn't enjoy the tablet version of Evernote on my phone, but instead, it defaults to the phone version, designed for much smaller screens than I have. It's there any way to force the tablet version to display instead?
  6. I had been working on my desktop on the notes for an upcoming workshop I was giving on Time Management and pulling it all together in Evernote. Unfortunately, I had to take away part of my normal productive time waiting in my doctor's office. While there, I decided to pull out my Samsung Galaxy Note and open up Evernote. I was at the outline stage with my notes, and Evernote on the Android Galaxy Note worked great for this. My waiting time was very productive and I got a large chunk of the outline done. It used to be that I would use other note programs on my Android phone and then email them and copy and paste later, but Evernote was fantastic as I was working on the actual outline I had been working on on the desktop. During my time, I also opened up some of the time management articles and ebooks I had previously stored on my phone and reviewed them for additional ideas which I added to the outline. A large boost to my productivity, courtesy of Evernote!
  7. Just wondering. I am thinking getting a new phone soon and I have my eye on the Samsung Galaxy Note. With all the fancy-schmancy things the Galaxy Note and it's S-Pen can do, I was wondering if Evernote will be have any tricks up it's sleeve for the new capabilities of the phablet. Any guesses or responses from Evernote staff, just for fun?
  8. Hello, I have a galaxy note and the thumbnails do not show for new notes in snippet mode. This started to happen recently. I logged out and re synced my whole offline 4GB again and they came up but then all new notes will again not show the thumbnails. I have the latest beta and confirm it is the same problem on the Beta as the stable release. Any help would be appreciated. Steve
