  1. On a regular text note, the font size keeps changing. I start a note on my phone, it starts with a medium font size. Then, in order for me to write more letters on one line of text and the inavailability of a font size button in the Android Evernote app, I use a desktop to open the note, then change the font size to i.e. size 12. Then, when that note is opened the next time on the Android phone, the font size stays at that smaller size, but only until I copy and paste text within that note. Once it gets pasted anywhere else in the document the text size changes to even bigger that it was when originally created on that Android (Galaxy S8+) phone. The same issue has been there for many years and all Android devices tested. A screenshot showing these 3 different font sizes is attached. I would like all the text to stay at the smaller size, but that is not possible on an Android phone. And the lack of a font size selection button means a continous need of a dekstop computer to re-format the text to smaller font. Such a very simple function (font size) has been available on every computer since 25 years ago and it hard to believe that Evernote has so many features, but yet lacks this very basic text formatting possibility.
  2. "Many sans serif typefaces don’t differentiate between the uppercase “I” and the lowercase “l” very well. (...) This a legibility problem."* https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/39543/is-there-a-sans-serif-font-that-appears-different-for-i-capital-i-and-l-small Especially when working with foreign and technical texts. Add Evernote's constant problems with formatting and there you have it. A mess. I'd opt for a mono font if I could. *And a backward embarrassment, I might add! Clearly the font selection nowadays usually caters to looks and cruft lovers.
  3. Hello, I was just messing around for changing the default font on Evernote v6.0.5 on Yosemite. I clicked on preferences then the formatting tab & then on the note text bar. I was successful in setting it but then I found a new option. The option to change the colour of the font & I guess the background too. The problem is that when I selected the colour of my choice there's no effect whatsoever. I've tried restarting my Mac, restarting evernote but nothing happens & the colours go back to normal after I reopen evernote again. Please check the images attached. Hope you guys could give a solution. I really want to change the BG & font colur. Thanks
  4. Hi there, I know how to change the font of the note in Evernote's Mac client with the mouse, and I have found the keyboard shortcuts for changing the size of the font. My question is: Is there also a keyboard shortcut to change the font type? Alternatively, is it possible to do this with an applescript or something similar? Thanks, Jo
  5. Hello, Please consider updating the font or functionality of Code Blocks. When I paste content into these, it may sometimes keep the formatting and may sometimes (always when pasting matching formatting) paste in 'Monaco', which is a font that is not available for selection on Evernote Windows app OR Evernote web app. There are plenty of unicode options available that are more common to use that could be recognized in multiple applications. Alternatively, you could add support for Monaco font in Windows app. A "Copy Format" tool would be very handy as well, which is surprising to see missing from the full app, as even free open-source text editors have this feature. Please let me know if you think there is a solution that I am missing, -PA
  6. Hey guys! Does anyone know what is the font type Evernote uses on the website? Thanks.
  7. Web client on Linux Is it possible to change the default font size in Notes, either universally or by particular note? I would prefer to set 18 as the default so Notes are more legible on my phone's display. I tend to have short Notes so space on the display isn't often an issue. Thanks.
  8. I would find it extremely useful to be able to change the colour of the notebook hyperlinks that other parties see. If I share a notebook with my mum, for instance, the shared notebook links are blue on my computer but red on my mum's. This would be all well and good if the contrast were better, but Mum and her middle-aged eyes are having trouble reading the titles of our shared notebooks.
  9. The zoom feature in Evernote is awesome! However, I find I'm constantly zooming. Would love to have a default zoom, or some way to make the font size consistent. One idea is to let the user decide how large they want the font to appear on their particular device. Then evernote measures a character or word in the note and zooms in to match the user preference. Or even just set a default zoom so that all notes are automatically zoomed in x2 or whatever the user has set.
  10. Many users stop using Evernote because of defects and bugs in fonts. Different fonts appear on all devices. It's impossible to use them all at once. Your website has hundreds of feedback on fonts. Don't you consider them? You have 200 million users but you still don't solve problems with these fonts. If a single powerful alternative program is available, you will lose most of your users. If you can't do anything. Turn off the Font substitution setting. Just use Apple's San Francisco font. Like Simplenote.
  11. I think it would be handy to be able to set defaults for fonts for my notes.
  12. How do I change the font and remove bold in the annotation text?
  13. hi, in the Windows desktop client for Evernote I would like to filter my font list. E.g. only show a list of selected fonts in the font combo when editing a note. Or sort my selected font on top of the LONG list of font in Windows. Yes I know I can uninstall font in Windows but I don't like to start doing that. And seeing 250+ font in the combo when I only need 2-5 is a BIG distraction when editing a note in Evernote.
  14. What I find irritating is the fact that the text that I set to a monospace font in my notes on a Mac appear with a serif font on my iOS devices. This is also the case with a 'code-block' which is even more irritating. My Android device shows the monospace font as it should be. Would it be too difficult to implement this in the iOS app?
  15. The design is pretty ugly. Must be a more understandable color palette. White and light green colors, the eyes are exhausting. You need to change the shades. More special fonts should also be brought. Fonts such as "ş, Ü, ğ, ö" look very ugly in the titles. It also does not match the font sizes you used when working in the "Evernote Windows" program.
  16. Evernote for Mac Version 6.13.1 (455785 Direct) 1. When I have a numbered list and change the font to Verdana 18pt, then the numbers remain unchanged and small (looks like Helvetica 13). 2. When publishing such note, the numbers are bigger but not Verdana. Tested on Google Chrome for Mac Version 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit). See screenshots attached. This is clearly a bug. Please fix. Thanks, Martin
  17. First Problem About Font: I really hate the Evernote app. If there's one strong alterantif, I won't use Evernote again. Now, in the "Evernote Web" app, some 12 of my notes seem to have been prepared in 14 fonts. When I look through the Windows app, it all looks like it's written in 12. This program is really freaking out. All my buddies complain about similar problems. I don't want to do any more experiments. Please make an update hurry. Second Problem About Font: This is definitely a bug. It's a matter of update, believe me. I wrote in the table, tried it in the new note, or wrote it in the ongoing paragraph. The problem is that the "Evernote iphone" program appears to have a font size of 12 when the small font is set. In fact, the Evernote installed on the computer has a size of 10 fonts, but the phone says it's like it's written at 12. How did I know that? I tried in order. When I set up 12 font sizes in Windows Evernote then there's no problem. Because the little typecharacter from the phone adapts immediately to it. But if we make one step smaller, it doesn't matter 11 or 12. Then again it seems as if the iphone is writing at 12. Well, it doesn't actually say 12, but it's the way it looks. Like the photo I had before. I say it's a little complicated, but I can tell you there's no other way. * Windows Evernote If font 10 = IPhone Evernote (when writing small) looks like 12 but it actually writes with 10 (when l look at pc). * Windows Evernote If font 11 = IPhone Evernote (when writing small) looks like 12 but actually it is written with 11 (when l look at pc). * Windows Evernote If font 12 = IPhone Evernote (when writing small) looks like 12 and it really writes with 12. Third Problem About Font: I erased Evernote and seduced him on the phone and on my computer. The writings came in the size of 10 fonts and the character "Segoe UI". Everything is normal. However, I enter a note from the phone (you can see from the enclosed photos) and see how big it looks from other posts. At first, I thought you were writing a different size font. But when I go through the computer and look at it (the yellow mark) I see that it's a font that's 10 written on it that's not different from the others. But it looks like it's still bigger on the phone. This is seriously disturbing. I hope I can be descriptive. I'm sorry for my bad English, by the way. My native language is not English. Finally: This is literally rude and disrespectful. I'm a "premium" user. There are millions of "plus" and "premium" Users like me, which means "Evernote" makes millions of dollars a year, thanks to us. And what does he do for our problems? I have almost 100 emails about this "font size problem". They're stalling you with Mail traffic. Everyone is turning on each other. No results. Why can't I get a quality service from my premium purchase? The only thing Evernote needs is a rival. He acts like a spoiled little boy, Evernote. All they need is a strong opponent.
  18. When I open a new note in EN, I get Tahoma font, size 10. Is there a way to reset this default to another font and size?
  19. When annotating a pdf its not possible to vary the font size of text. That really poor. Moreover it should be possible to choose other font characters beside the one with the light shadow.
  20. Is there no way to override the Gotham font used throughout the web UI? Chrome 63, Firefox 57, and Edge 40 are all equally hideous. I'm very tempted to jump ship for OneNote.
  21. The font size is way too small for persons with eye issues, the elderly, etc. support for the Accessibility features would be very helpful.
  22. Would love the ability to set the default font and font size in Evernote Web app.
  23. How do I change the default font color in a table? I've tried different things, and I can certainly change the color of text, but the bullet point keeps appearing in some default sort of color (see image below).
  24. Evernote is great...but it's driving me mad with silly little issues that should just not be happening. In the web-editor - Copy and paste - even within a note - keeps losing the font of the text. I'm using Chrome to access to web editor. I open a note. Most of my text seems to be in Gotham font, size 14. I don't know why... that seems to be the default. Can't change it anyway. I copy that Gotham 14 text - seems to only happen when I've got multiple lines - ie. including a carriage return. Move the cursor somewhere else. Paste it. Evernote turns that into: Some Gotham 14 text Some text in a different font - which says "Font, tT" in the menu bar at the top...ie. it doesn't really have a font....but it's not Gotham 14. Looks like it might be Verdana - but it's not the same size as any of the ones you can select yourself...slightly bigger than Gotham 14 Some more Gotham 14 text I don't know why it's changing the font, and why it's just some of it. Sounds like it's something to do with the carriage return/newline / multi-line text. So every single time I copy and paste - which is quite a bit - I have to go and put the formatting back....really annoying! I would quite happily change all my notes to whatever that odd font is if it's going to keep changing text to that font - but you can't as it doesn't have a name! Is anyone else getting the same? Seems to have started a month or two ago. Screenshot hopefully showing the issue. Repeatable - happens everytime. I hope Evernote starts fixing some of these basic text formatting issues soon otherwise it's going to drive me away...we shouldn't be having problems with basic text handling..
  25. Hi ? It would be more pleasant to read and write notes if we can customize the layout and typography. Like Bear App (http://www.bear-writer.com/). Thanks ?
