  1. New computer, Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299 EN Version 6.9.7.6770 (306770) Public (CE Build ce-1.39.4387) Synopsis: The cursor will be present in the Note, and then vanishes when you start typing. If you use up/down arrow keys to move the cursor, the whole note scrolls up/down. It's most frustrating because in using Evernote, I'm constantly copying text / referencing other documents from other places and pasting / typing into EN. <Alt-Tab elsewhere> Select / Copy <Alt-Tab to EN> see the cursor blinking at me where I left it, <Ctrl-Shift-V Paste>, cursor goes away, no paste. (Note, I wish Paste-Match-Style [aka paste as plain text] could be configured as default) -or- <Alt-Tab to EN> see the cursor, start typing, cursor goes away, no typing happens. -or- <Alt-Tab to EN> see cursor, click mouse to re-position cursor, see cursor in new place, start typing/pasting, cursor goes away, no typing/pasting happens. In all cases, the Note itself still has focus because Up/Down arrows scroll the Note. It's just decided to stop being in edit mode. I typically work with Notes in the main EN window, not floating by themselves, but it also happens when they are by themselves (undocked). Does not happen 100% of time, but is 100% annoying when it does, about 80+% of the time. This happened in the previous version as well and was such an annoying issue I thought it would be fixed pronto, so I didn't comment on it.
  2. Hi all Really simple question: if I'm writing in a note and want to switch focus to the note list and go up/down, what is the keyboard route? And vice versa, say I select/highlight a note in note list how do I quickly jump the cursor into that note to edit with they keyboard? (Rather than clicking in the note with the mouse)? See my beautiful diagram below. I think it may involve the Tab key but not sure... Thanks! Charlie
  3. After using the keyboard shortcut <ALT + SHIFT + B> to change a note's notebook, the program's focus disappears and I can no longer use the keyboard to navigate until I click somewhere with the mouse. Is there a why to restore the program's focus without using the mouse?
  4. I am Personally using Evernote to do almost all of my Notes in School and at Home. However recently I also tried out "iA Writer" which is a very simplistic and distraction free note taking app with a Focus Mode which put the sentence you are woking on in focus and fades the rest out, which in my opinion allows you to concentrate much better. Is there already a way to do this or are you thinking about adding this to Evernote? Thanks a-lot, iAwriter: http://www.iawriter.com/mac/ Link to Focus Writer: http://gottcode.org/focuswriter/ Previous thread about this: http://discussion.evernote.com/topic/25951-request-fullscreen-focus-mode-for-just-write/
  5. The editing of notes needs to improve when interacting with a pointing device (mouse). When editing a note, I will click on a different location (line) in the same note, the cursor is moved to the location, and I start typing, only to find out that the text is being inserted at the last location. So the focus within the note is not changing when I single click on another line. The workaround is to click twice! This behavior is annoying, and should be changed. I "think" Evernote did not use to behave this way, so I thought it was a "bug" that would get noticed and corrected, but several updates later the behavior remains. If you're going to update the cursor position, the focus within the note needs to change, otherwise the feedback you are giving to the user is misleading. Bad UI!
