  1. Please return the "Atlas" functionality back to Evernote. And please add the ability to filter on the built-in search functionality. One of my primary uses of Evernote was to save location-based notes so that it was easy for me to map my travels and be reminded of where I went and what I did when I returned to a city.
  2. Hi. I'd like to be able to filter out notes based on tags. For example if I tagged notes I've read with "#read" it would be nice to filter out those to see which notes I haven't read. Thanks!
  3. hi, in the Windows desktop client for Evernote I would like to filter my font list. E.g. only show a list of selected fonts in the font combo when editing a note. Or sort my selected font on top of the LONG list of font in Windows. Yes I know I can uninstall font in Windows but I don't like to start doing that. And seeing 250+ font in the combo when I only need 2-5 is a BIG distraction when editing a note in Evernote.
  4. As a long-time EN Premium User (who exclusively have been using the Mac application) I love the option "filter by tags" that you can use in every notebook. But now I've just realized that when I share a notebook and then open it in a browser then you can't use the option "filter by tags" which I find extremely annoying and unproductive. Because now I can't recommend Evernote for my company (where I work as an an archivist) since the whole idea was that I could enter thousands of sources and then the staff at my firm would be able to find what they're looking for through the "filter by tags" option (where you either scroll down for the right tags or search for the tags you're looking for). How come this vital option isn't possible in the web version of Evernote? Or did I overlook something? ?
  5. UPDATE: Awesome! I never knew this ctrl-q feature, completely solve my problem, very very very grateful --- When you're in evernote Windows, you have the ability to assign tags (Tag Note = CTRL+ALT+T). You get a list of Tags (see Attached) It would be great if this interface has the filtering feature. I have 400+ tags, each time I use this assign tags, I have to locate it in a bunch of tags, too painful and waste time. If you also support this feature, please bump or vote for it.
  6. Pulling down doesn't reveal a reminders filter button in a saved shortcut listing. Often, I have a saved shortcut to skim for notes tagged in several related projects, and would like to be able to isolate notes that are marked with reminders as opposed to those that are just reference material without making separate shortcuts.
  7. Hello, I've just updated my Evernote version to the latest (6.3.3), and my head is about to explode because I'm missing a very important feature: in my previous version (don't know which exact number...), one could filter tags in the Tag View by using a drop-down list in the top bar. You could see "All tags", "My tags", and "Personal tags". Now, this option is not visible anywhere. Does anyone knows where it is? Has it been removed? Is it now a premium feature? I've been searching around the web for the last hour without an answer. Thanks
  8. I read this: https://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/search_grammar.php Still not sure if this can be done, I want to look for notes that have either of 3 tags, let's say tag:car tag:blue tag:minivan With that result set, I want to filter it, so that I only see the notes that contain the text phrase "really fast" (not the tag really-fast, but text found inside that note) Also, if that's possible, I'd like to continue filtering again, by hiding/not including the notes that are of type web.clip I tried using -source:web.clip, but it seems to want to include that with the "any" vs understanding what I really mean.. I've explained this as a series of steps so it's easy to digest. I understand the answer, the search query itself, is probably one long *thing.. Any thoughts appreciated, =: s
  9. Why can't I search multiple tags at the same time? Please make this happen. It severely limits the functionality of EN.
  10. Evernote has become an essential tool for may daily work. Tags are great, filtering is great too. Sometime, I have a note opened / selected, that has been tagged with a keyword (see Screenshot... Tag = Hugo)... Then, I want to filter all my notes with the Hugo-Keyword... I know, this is possible of course by selecting the keyword in the left handed total Tags-List. But my list becomes bigger and bigger, and it's getting more an more time consuming to find that specific Hugo-Tag in the tags list. I would it find a very handy functionality, that if one click on the tag it self on the note page (see screenshot) to filter all notes having this Tag... Clicking on a tag of an opened note is imhomuch more efficient that finding the tag in the complete taglist. thanks for considering the idea.
  11. I would like to filter a to-do list by completed and non-completed.
  12. Wondering if anyone has any insight to this one. Used to be in tag entry or tag filter the lookup for the string worked from the beginning of the tag name. St would get you statement and anything else that started with st. Now in tag entry mode, if you enter a string you get any tags with that string in them. If the string you type is the beginning of the tag it auto selects when you are down to one tag, otherwise you have to manually select. Tag filter is the same as it always was, so you have two different methods for a tag drop-down. I may be dense, but I can't wrap my mind around why such a change. I get find me all tags with an st in them, but how does that help me?
  13. On desktop EN on Mac, I can select a notebook, then filter with tags. It seems that on iOS, I can sort by either notebooks OR tags, but not both. Am I missing something? How can I go to a notebook (to restrict the things I need to sort through) then select the tag(s) I know are associated with the target note in that notebook (rather than all notebooks) on iOS? Thanks, Steve
  14. Hello all: New to the program but really like it so far. I am very interested in the GeoMap and Tagging ability of the software. Is there a way set visual filters on the map page? For example I want to create notebooks that represent customers. I have different classifications of customers, so I would like to be able to have the ability to display in different colored flags to display specific "notebooks" i.e.. customers. For example I have nursing schools as one customer, and I also have hospitals as another and fire departments as a third. I would like to be able to see one, two or all three sets of flags on the map and have them different colors for differentation. My rationale is that I may be calling or planning on one customer or customer set but at some point I may want to bring in another group that might be in the area. If I have a very high concentration of one group, the map could get very cluttered and this is a way to help organize it. Anyways if anyone knows if this can be done, or something like this I would greatly appreciate it!
  15. I'm having an issue with PDF notes that I've tagged and imported via AppleScript. On the left hand tag frame, these new notes will update the note count, but do not appear when you filter by a tag. I have two work-arounds to have the notes display under such a tag: Open the note, remove the tag, re-type it, close the note Temporarily rename the tag and then rename it back The problem with these work-arounds is that I have to recognize that not all notes are showing before I can correct it. It doesn't help me with the notes I don't know are missing. This means that I can't trust that Evernote is giving me accurate search or tag filter results for note counts that exceed a simple visual inspection (~10 notes). Has anyone experienced this issue? Evernote Support says they don't support Evernote AppleScript-related issues. Anyone know how I can write an AppleScript to rename all Evernote tags automatically and then back? In the interest of full disclosure, here's the workflow: I drop a file into a folder that Hazel watches for new PDF/DOC/HTML/TXT files Hazel sends it to my Evernote import script AppleScript does the following: Convert all other file types to PDF Create the Evernote note with or without a pre-determined title (without uses the filename) Convert any existing OpenMeta tags to Evernote tags (This helps me get away from Yep to Evernote) OR Tag the PDF based on the filename using a list of pre-determined tags Trash the original Issue mainly happens with PDFs as original source file because I predominantly import PDFs It doesn't always happen It seems to only happen to certain tags, but not exclusively It's not repeatable with the same file. If I delete the note, import it again, the note displays under the tag filter properly. Thanks!
