  1. Hi guys:) Where can I download Evernote for OS X EL CAPITAN 10.11.6? I find only for 10.12 Thank you!
  2. I am having a weird and obscure problem with Evernote on a new iPhone syncing properly to my account. The situation: a few days ago I upgraded the OS on my desktop Mac to El Capitan before activating the new phone. The computer had been running Evernote 5.1.1 and things worked fine in the old OS syncing with my old iPhone. This older version of Evernote also worked fine with El Capitan, and the old iPhone still synced properly. So far so good. Next, I activated the new phone with the latest Evernote on it, 7.18.1. The Evernote app on the phone was working, but only loading a few of my more than 600 notes. (For the first couple of days the phone did not have cell service, and I was doing everything over wifi; the problem persisted subsequently with either wifi or cell service.) After a while I noticed that the notes which were syncing to the new phone were all notes which had had changes made subsequent to the El Capitan install on the desktop; if I modified an old note, it would now sync. Next, I upgraded the desktop version of Evernote to the current one, 6.10: same thing, only recently modified notes sync to the phone. All my notes are there on Evernote Web. My account settings show that only two devices are active in my Basic account, and in any case the new phone sort of works, it's just not loading everything, so it's not being blocked (the old phone is off; if I turn it on, it syncs properly with the new desktop Evernote). I don't know what is causing this problem. I don't think it is too many devices. I have tried rebooting everything, syncing manually, everything I can think of. I was going to try trashing the .plist file on the desktop, but I can't find anything like that, and I'm not even sure the desktop version is the culprit. I can't figure out where the problem is localized. Advice would be appreciated!
  3. Mac El Capitan 10.11.5 Issues I'm seeing a lot of issues reported for the 10.11.5 Update to El Capitan: I know of at least 3, and then there is a long list at OS X El Capitan at Apple Support Communities KM Safari Actions that Peter posted Evernote Clipper for both Safari and Chrome El Capitan 10.11.5 update SMB slow (bug) See Search of Apple Support Communities El Capitan Section for "10.11.5" Found 112 topics, many new ones just today. I don't know of any compelling reasons to update to 10.11.5. OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan Update — Released I'm still on 10.11.4, and plan to stay there until these issues are resolved.
  4. Anyone else having any problems with the Web Clipper working properly with YouTube? 1) I don't have the option of saving YouTube video on the Web Clipper anymore. 2) When I try to clip the video with Evernote it goes crazy and overlays text on top of everything else. (see screenshot)
  5. OS 10.11.3 | Safari 9.0.3 | Clipper 6.7.1 For at least the past year, I've had continuous, daily issues with the Safari Clipper desktop extension crashing. Using various un-replicable permutations of un-instail/re-install/restart Safari/cold shutdowns/etc. I could often get Clipper to work temporariy but all is lost after shutdown and, on reboot, I'm invariably faced with a dead elephant in the menu bar. Lately, I can't even get Ciipper up for a session--just an endless hang of the Evernote spinning dot, delay icon. In reviewing this forum, I see this Safari-related issue has been pervasive, longstanding and, based on lack of correction, largely ignored. The latest statement from EN in this forum was a 2/11/16 "we're aware and working on it" response. Five weeks later, NADA! One would think a basic functionality issue like this would receive the highest priority. This dead elephant is beginning to stink! Web clipper, when working, is a wonderful, time saving tool. From my perspective it accounts for 80% of my use of EN. If you share this problem, please join me by sending in a BUG report ticket as previously suggested by Forum Guru, JMichaelTX: "I recommend that everyone who experiences a bug to submit a bug report. This will make sure that Evernote is aware of the issue, provide your environment data to help identify/fix the issue, and put more pressure on Evernote to fix. Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. In the Support Form, select "Report a bug", and start the Ticket Title with "BUG: " to make it clear. Reporting a bug should be available to all users, including Free Account owners. Since Evernote now is providing official support to all users via Twitter, you might post your issue on Twitter @evernotehelps. It might also be good to include a link back to your post on the forum." Yours for a functioning Web Clipper!
  6. I'm having to use the web app because the App Store, and beta 6.5 beta 2, and direct download builds all crash on launch.
  7. just upgraded to el capitan, to find that evernote can't launch now. the evernote icon just jumps for one time on the dock and the little dot below disappears very soon. can't use evernote now, does anybody meet the same issue with me?
  8. Since I upgraded to the new OS, Evernote frequently displays titles with a slightly lighter gray background. The change is intermittent; sometimes clicking the title will resolve the issue. See attached screenshots: one exhibiting the problem, one not. Many thanks.
  9. Quick Context from OS X El Capitan feature list: "...Mission Control also enables you to switch quickly between different desktops – or Spaces to which you have assigned specific applications." EN problem: I have too many notes/notebooks/tags/etc... and though the search function is amazing, i'm often overwhelmed. The search function is top notch, but simply seeing this many notes/notebooks is stressful visually. solution: If there were a way to cut the clutter of notebooks/notes I made years ago & filter my search based on the time I made it (similar to how you can google search something that was posted the last year/month/24 hours), then I wouldn't be overwhelmed. conclusion / feature request: Each year (or whenever my EN gets too cluttered for my liking), I'd like an option to re-build my evernote from the ground up. Here's what this actually looks like - on the left side EN panel, there will be a new column (just like Notes / Notebooks / Tags , etc) that says "Dimensions" (or spaces or whatever EN calls it) that has my 2014 build of evernote notebooks/notes/tags, 2013 build, etc. In terms of adjusting the depth of the SEARCH function, you can toggle in preferences which of your dimensions you'd like the search to cover - whether it be the present one you're working within or all of them combined. Presently, to prevent feeling overwhelmed by all my accumulated notebooks & notes, I've been making separate EN accounts. But my premium purchase only works on one of them... so the added feature of 'Dimensions' would solve that problem Make sense? Would any of you users appreciate the benefit of this? Or not so much?
