So, I love the document camera notes, and use them every day...... Imagine my surprise when I take images of five pages of notes from today's meetings and instead of being saved in the normal order of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 they appear in my stored note in the somewhat random order of 4, 2, 5, 1, 3........ Testing with another three page document the pages appear in the order 3, 1, 2....... Testing with another four page document the pages appear in the order 2, 3, 1, 4....... Even the random order of display is completely random!!!!! And while I'm at it, why is the image on the camera now hidden behind the stupidly large controls at the bottom? How do you know if you have got the entire page in shot other than pure luck? This appears to be an issue with the 4S and older - perhaps the app is designed for the iPhone 5 only?
Coming up on year's end, I am going to be archiving 3 Evernote Moleskine Notebooks that I have amassed over the last year. I would like to optimize my notebooks/notes as much as possible, so I wanted to see if there were any suggestions or best practices on the following: OCR: Is there a limit on the number of pages I can OCR at once?Would you scan in an entire notebook as a note, or break it up in some other way?Tags: Other than using the smart tags, has anyone found a good way of making topics (self created text tag) searchable? I have tried using the hashtag (#tag) and that doesn't work as an option. To Do's: Does anyone use this feature to manage their real life to-do list? Thinking about it, but not sure if it makes sense. Thanks again! Bryce
Some iPhone camera apps, have an image stabilization feature option. The camera waits to take the pic until it gets a solid, clear photo. Since readability is so important for document-photos, this would be a VERY helpful feature. Though this would be a great feature for both photo and document photos, it's even more important for the document one (IMHO).
Evernote 5.2 (premium) MacBook Pro - 10.8.3 Occasionally I need to print out a note (or email a printable pdf) I have created from the document camera - generally these were 8.5 x 11" when I captured them. When I choose print, the images do not size for 8.5 x 11 and there seems to be no easy scaling option. My only solution has been to open up each image individually in Preview, and then combine them in to one file. From there, I am able to print or email a PDF. Preview takes care of all the scaling for me. Can Evernote do this? Am I missing something? Is there a script or app that would allow me to do this? It is, as one could imagine, a huge waste of time for me. FYI: I understand why my images are not automatically printing to standard sized paper and that this might not be a feature one would want as a default. Also, I would appreciate it that folks would not use this thread to inform me that they never need to print or ask me why I need to Thanks in advance!! Bret
