  1. Last night, when I attempted to open a note on my Android device that I had been writing for the past week, the note would not open. Then a message appeared that I was trying to sync a corrupted note, and gave me two options to recover the note. I selected the option to send the note to Evernote for analysis. Then I was returned to the Evernote home screen, and the content of the note was totally erased. The note still showed in my note list, but all content and the heading of the note were empty, and a red exclamation mark icon was displayed in the top right of the note on the note list, where normally an upward arrow displays if the note has not been synced. I have checked my trash folder in Evernote, as well as my Evernote account on the Windows application and Evernote web. The note does not display in any of these places at all, although the empty note with the heading "Untitled Note" still displays on my Android device. Therefore I am unable to use the note history function to retrieve the content that was in the note. I upgraded to Evernote Premium just to use this feature, but it does not help me. This note contained all of my writings for the last week. Evernote has erased a large amount of irreplaceable data, and I need to retrieve it. Please help me. This is one of three occasions that my writings on Evernote have been lost without explanation. I think that this kind of event negates the purpose Evernote. This is really an unforgivable error for an application which users rely on solely for the purpose of preserving their data. For this reason, I've begun looking for alternative applications.
  2. In August of 2017 I searched Evernote on my Android device for a key word I had written recently in a note. However, the search gave no results. So I searched for other key words I had used, and also there were no results. Then I looked back over my recently saved notes and noticed that a week's worth of my notes were missing. I found that all my notes from 8/4/17 through 8/9/17 had disappeared. I checked on my Evernote Windows application and Evernote Web and the notes were missing there too. There were also no notes from that period in my trash. Does anyone have any idea how I can recover my notes? I already submitted a ticket... 3. I opened my Evernote desktop app window, and ALL of my business notes were gone. I use Evernote for work, so this is a HUGE issue. Notes are not in trash, not in the web app, nowhere. I did not manually back anything up, as I believed everything would be stored on the web. PLEASE HELP.
  4. Hello, I hope someone can help me. First off, I'm using Evernote for Windows 8. Today I noticed my most important notebook has disappeared. It is not in the trash, and Evernote has synced a few times already today. I don't know what to do, other than recovering my laptop but I'm not sure that will do anything. Please let me know if you think that will help, or if you have any other suggestions. Thank you. ALSO: The notebook itself was not set up to sync.
  5. Can someone help me. Today I turned on my macbook and Evernote has disappeared. I have not changed any settings and use it everyday, but when I turned on my computer today it was gone. The strange thing is that it is still in my applications folder, but the icon is not there anymore and I can not open it. Can someone please help me?
  6. Hi everyone, Since downloading Evernote 6, I have been unable to see the notes I have previously created and (I assumed) saved. I can see the title, and occasionally a note will download seemingly by its own free will, but existing notes are not there when I start up the app, as they were before. Extremely frustrating when I need to access the content of the notes. Anyone have the solution? Thanks, Louise
  7. Hey guys, Please help me. My girlfriend's account recently asked her to reset her password. She did so, and upon signing back on, has lost her last 3 weeks of notes that she had saved on there from class and all sorts pf other important stuff. They are not in the Trash folder, nor are they in that weird conflicting changes folder that sometimes appears. I thought she might have forgotten to manually sync, but she told me she had been viewing her notes for ages on different devices. They had obviously synced and been set in stone in her Evernote account. They are just plain gone. This really is unacceptable from Evernote. All of her vital notes are completely gone, all because of a password change. Can anyone help? Or is this a lost cause? Thanks a lot, Cody
  8. Woke up this morning to find one of my notes had completely disappeared. It wasn't in the trash and couldn't to be found by searching or browsing in 'all notebooks'. I navigated to the Evernote content folder in Application Support and found the note was in the folder so I could recreate it from that. However it worries me that this has/will happen with other notes and I may not have realised. My whole life is in Evernote. Please help!
